1. 5/5Exactly what I was looking for

   I started out thinking 4 stars but bumped it up to 5 after looking through all the settings and other functions and, also, noting the great looking—easy to read displays. You don’t have to look at the screen but if you like to it’s very easy to read. I haven’t used it yet but I’ve looked it over and done a short test drive. It seems to be exactly what I want. It allows me to adjust the timers and counters to get exactly the workouts I expected for my outdoor rides. I’m sure it will work great indoors if your stationary doesn’t already offer the programming you need. There is a pyramid workout attributed to Mike Rowe in a Bike Radar article that I would like to try but I don’t think it would be doable with any simple app. (At least, I couldn’t see a way.)

2. 4/5Almost Perfect

   This is a pretty amazing timer! I can only think of a couple of improvements that would make it better. Keep in mind, I am blind, so these improvements might not be things other people would consider. 1. for workouts which are created with rounds that are one minute long, or longer, have other timing markers. for example, if your preparation time, rounds, rest, rest between cycles, or cool down is 10 minutes long, have the voice notify you at the five minute mark. Again at the one minute mark, and maybe again at the 30 second mark, before the final 3 second Countdown. 2. during the rest or rest between cycles, Before the countdown to start the next round, have the voice notify you what round is coming up so you can keep track of where you are in the cycle. Much easier. This would also be nice during the rest between cycles letting you know what cycle you are getting ready to start. 3. allow the option for customizing rounds, rest, rest between cycles, and cycles. Meaning, make it possible for people to set up rounds to be different lengths. same thing for cycles. For example, allow people to have rounds that maybe start at 30 seconds in length, and then increase the rounds to 45 seconds in length, and so on. Also, allow people to customize the cycles, so different cycles can have a different number of rounds. You would obviously still want the ability to set up your workouts where you do not have to customize every single round in cycle, but it would be nice to have the option to customize this for specific workouts. other than that, this is definitely the best timer I have ever used! The fact that this timer is free, just makes it even more impressive!

3. 5/5Really good exercise timer

   I’ve been using this timer for my kettlebell workout for years. The free version works fine with a few minor quibbles…Once you create a specific timer and save it, you can’t save any alterations to that timer later, it goes back to what you originally created. You also can’t make timings where each round may have a different time for each exercise. Other than that, it does a good job of creating workouts. I usually do EMOMS (every minute on the minute) and it really helps you stay on track. I use it on my iPhone and combine that with music from Pandora. It’s also nice that it doesn’t keep sending you reminders to upgrade to “Premium”. Highly recommended

4. 5/5Perfect home physical-therapy timer.

   Exactly what I need to perform home physical-therapy exercises — five sets of six 10-second contract / 10-second relax repetitions with 30-second rest between sets — without having to visually monitor the timer. The audio cues free me to watch/read other things while performing the exercises. The graphic user interface is great should one want to watch the timer. Big, bright, and bold. Very easy to read on a smartphone screen. I’ve only used the timer once, but thus far I couldn’t be more satisfied.

5. 3/5Audio is broken / bad

   The app interface is awesome - big obvious and buttons (great for clumsy workout hands), and has very clear very customizable interval settings. This would be the perfect app but for the bellow: The app deceases your phone/music volume while running the interval, even if you have sound settings turned off. If you pause or complete the interval, the volume jumps back to full volume abruptly. Even worse is if you leave app sounds turned on so you don’t have to watch your phone, your music volume is decreased while in use but the app sounds (buzzers) still play at full volume and scream in your ears if you’re using headphones. Tried to message app support to suggest a bug fix but the support link just takes you to their product webpage and there’s no contact form, just a signup page.
