  1. 4/5Updated review

I’ve used the device and app for a while now and enjoying it. There are certain aspects of the data tracking that are not intuitive and slightly frustrating. Outside of that I’ve grown to rely on it heavily for all my different projects and would recommend it to others. —the below was resolved. There was an error on their side which was not communicated within the app or any of their social media. I did receive an email response. Waited (I believe) over a month to receive and now that I have it, I am unable to make an account and actually use the device.

  2. 1/5Frustratingly unreliable app and webpage

When this thing works, it’s great for time tracking. I turn it on in the morning, flip it all day with different tasks at work, then pause it at the end of the work day. Frequently, I come back to the app and it hasn’t tracked anything all day. Or, like today, it has tracked one activity 24 hours a day for the coming week. When that happens, I have to disconnect it from the app and reconnect it again, which wiped out all of my data, and makes me reconfigure the faces. The web page that is supposed to display everything from the app is often blank for days at a time. I’m frankly disappointed, bordering on annoyed, considering her expensive it was and how long it took to arrive. Update: Dropping to one star. Support informed me to change the batteries. When I tell them they are reporting as almost half full, they tell me the battery percentage doesn’t report correctly. Clearly a bug or hardware problem.

  3. 5/5Helps with productivity too!

As an account manager in a growing business, I’m wearing multiple hats requiring me to be available for many areas of the business. I needed a way to effectively track where I’m spending most my time so we can put some resources to appropriate areas and expand. After my first full day of using time-flip, which is exceptionally easy to use, I was pleasantly surprised by the effect it had on productivity too! The slight pause when “deciding to flip” to another category would actually inspire me to finish the task I’m currently working first, instead of getting side-tracked for the 50th time of the day. Who knew it could be time-tracking and a productivity tool too!

  4. 3/5Needs improvements

I received my Timeflip2 the other day and really excited to use it. The product is good quality however the app needs more work. The Bluetooth setup is spotty at best. I had to use both hands to select the timeflip2 and hit next before it disappeared from the menu. I don’t understand the need for distance scroller since it’s Bluetooth it’s either nearby or it’s not (max range ~33ft on iPhone X). Next is all of the broken UI elements. Most selectors work but anything that has customizable number is blank. You cannot see what value your choosing. I’ve sent feedback to their support email - I hope I hear back in a timely manner. On the positive side you can setup the different tasks and it will track as described so it does meet the MMF (minimum marketable feature) so it delivers on the main feature.

  5. 2/5Buggy with SLOW support

At some point, without warning, my app started teaching hundreds of hours of activity per day. The cause of the issue is still not clear to me. I reached out to tech support. They would take over a week to respond to some of my emails. The tasks you create in the app cannot be removed by any user. They have to get into the backend of your account to remove them. Removing all of my tasks resolved the issue, but it took 2 months before this solution was reached. I think this product and app are great in concept. It is a solution unlike any other. It breaks my heart that execution is so flawed. If I run into this bug again, I will change my rating to a lower star value and recycle my time flip. I cannot afford to have my time tracking fail for months at a time like this.
