  1. 3/5love this app!

I love being able to use my phone to keep track of my blood glucose and pump and CGM status. One suggestion for Tandem and the app developer: please add a time and date of last infusion site change; it would be more convenient than having to look at the pump history. Since my last review, I still like the app and would not want to be without it, but it’s not working right; I am having issues with not seeing the blood glucose graph or bolus tracking at times, and sometimes I see a portion of the app with a gray background. I close the app and reopen it, and sometimes it fixes it but not always. I’ve tried restarting my phone and that doesn’t help. Since my last review, still love the app, but it crashes intermittently throughout the day, causing me have to restart it. Today, it’s not been opening correctly, either a delay in starting or restarts in the mode where I have to click I Agree, then it circles, won’t open and I have to restart it again. It’s getting frustrating. Please fix it, thanks I am editing my previous review due to recently (since upgrading to G 7) the app does not show the graph of my blood sugars or track the time in range; it’s as if its loses connection despite being on cellular data and background app refresh. I am frustrated with the app.

  2. 2/5Keeps closing

I’ve had this app several years now. Since updating to mobile bolus option I’ve hadnothing but troubles. It will not stay running. When I open the app it automatically closes out. I’ve tried rebooting my phone and closing reopening the app. It comes down to having to uninstall and reinstall the app, here lately almost once a week. It’s done it on last 2-3 phone software updates as well. I’ve not updated my phone and updated, makes no difference. Back in August when it did this it was not showing as running in the back ground but was draining my phone. My phone was so hot it hurt to hold it. When I opened settings to see what was draining it, this app was using 80% of my battery, but not showing as running in background. I went from 100% to 30% in 45 minutes with no other apps running. After uninstalling app my phone was normal again. Last time I talked to tandem in august they said nothing wrong with app. Well here it is April and I’ve uninstalled and installed several times and went without the app for periods of time hoping maybe the glitch would be fixed. To my surprise, it’s not. It’s been doing same thing for last 2 days, finally took back off my phone this morning. I’m beyond frustrated. I was so excited when the mobile bolus option finally came out. Just wish I could use it for more than a week (if that) at a time. Without having to go through the process of uninstalling/reinstalling and having to repair my pump every time.

  3. 1/5Advice Tandem?

I've been using version 2.7.1 of the app for a while and never experienced the reported battery issues—until the day I received an email about the new 2.8.2 update. It's a strange coincidence, and I'm not the only one who's noticed it. Based on user reviews, it seems I should avoid updating to 2.8.2, as many people are reporting that it has made the battery drain issue even worse, with some saying their battery lasts less than a day. I personally think for myself acting as if the was no app, and go back to bolus from the pump might just be the answer until the next update comes out that’s had true testing done prior to launch. App causing inconveniences like little bugs is one thing, but causing high blood sugars is a more serious matter. I think I’ll personally opt to act as if the app doesn’t exist…but you do you. I think it’s only right that Tandem respond to the overwhelming disappointment with the update making peoples issue even worse causing some to experience extreme highs due to losing power in the middle of the night. With the reported issues going on, would you (Tandem) suggest just leaving the app closed unless you need to bolus from the app, then close the app after initiating the bolus? Possibly go without updating and using the app until a fix comes for 2.8.2 failure at inflaming the issue even more? I encourage a more direct response to my concerns and questions rather than the typical “Thank you for sharing…please contact tandem at yada, yada.”

  4. 1/5This update (2.8.2) caused major issues

I recently received an email stating I needed to update to this version and I very much regret doing so. I had some issues where the graph would not pull up, but I could use the app to control my pump and did not have any battery drain issues. After updating to version 2.8.2, I am going from 100% charge down to 10% charge in roughly 15 hours or less. This is a MAJOR problem and is even worse than the previous battery drain issue. In addition to that, now my graph is not pulling up AND it is telling me the app lost connection to the pump X amount of hours ago and it won’t re-establish connection unless I force close the app and relaunch it. When I try to deliver insulin, it won’t connect, and when it has connected, it gets stuck on the confirmation screen after telling it to deliver a bolus; the only way to clear that screen is to force close the app and relaunch. I desperately want to revert back to 2.7.1 as it actually worked pretty well despite not always showing the graph, and I did not seem to have any significant battery drain issues. I highly recommend not updating despite receiving the email telling you to do so. This update was not ready and has caused me to disable connection to my pump until it is resolved. Otherwise I am having to charge my pump twice in a 24 hour timeframe where I was charging it once per week before the update. Please fix this, or in the very least, do a rollback patch back to 2.7.1 please!

  5. 4/5OK, Needs Ext Bolus/Activity Capability

generally decent app, great to have when i’m wearing a dress/skirt and want to be discreet about my dosing and need a straightforward bolus. that being said, please add the extended bolus feature to this app! i use the extended bolus feature on my pump constantly, it’s a necessity because of how my diabetes is (can’t bolus too much all at once, but still need enough insulin to cover my carbs). i’d love to be able to be truly independent of my pump by using my phone. i’m sure (i hope) with the mobi coming out, the extended bolus/activity features will become integrated soon. at the end of the day, probably 99% of the time, i will use my pump to dose/check my insulin and glucose levels. if this app could become truly equivalent to the user experience of a tslim pump, maybe using the t:connect mobile app would become second nature to me. but not yet—so looking forward to future updates. thanks devs for all you’ve done so far, though, it’s insane that this capability exists now. you’ve done a fantastic service to us diabetics and i think being more realistic with our expectations can be quite a good thing — just use your pump if you want every single feature you’re accustomed to ! cheers to the ios17 compatibility
