1. 2/5Full of weird straight dudes 50 miles away from me

   Tbh this app has worse picks than tinder. I downloaded this app a while ago and soon deleted it because it did not have many people in my area. Note that I live in Los Angeles which has the second largest queer population in the country. Months later, after getting countless tiktok ads from queer influencers, I assumed that more people must have joined the app. I decided to give it a second try. This time, the app mainly showed me weird straight guys who are in their 30s-50s and over 50 miles away from me. My preferences are set to any gender, age range between 22-28 and 10 miles away from me. The few queer people I found on the app were at least a county over from me if not farther away. Taimi- You have correctly recognized that there is a need for an app for the queer community that welcomes the whole gender and sexuality spectrum (as opposed to HER or Grindr). There is no popular app like this where (theoretically) bisexual and pansexual people can connect with the wide range of people they are interested in, while still staying within the queer community. However, your app does not realistically provide this. If you are going to continue to promote your app as ‘for the LGBTQ+ community’ you need to do better. You need to have more accurate filters so we can find the type of people we’re actually looking for. You also need to ensure that this app is predominately used by queer people instead of weird straight guys fetishizing bisexual and trans people.

2. 2/5Honest review

   Let me start off with what most people want - a yes or no, a “use the app” or “don’t”. I would say it isn’t worth the effort, and that you shouldn’t. Through the basic/free tier that I have never upgraded throughout using the app, it has gotten me one whole in-person date that was a bust. The rest are a sea of matches that end up collecting dust. The app also has a tendency to lag and heat up my phone, to the point where I can hardly even back out to my homescreen or close the app. This lag is essentially a ticking time bomb that you either constantly reset or torture yourself by restarting after every other profile. As a 19 year old pansexual cis male, I want to meet other people within a few years of me (18 to late 20s) but primarily have to filter through hordes of (age) 30+ men that have liked my profile with the ‘unblur’ paid feature. I’ve had some geriatric creeps also try and hit on me(60+ yrs old and hitting on me, a 19 year old…) There is a ‘stealth’ feature that you can enable to try and prevent this, but it is still unfortunate that you will likely lose potential matches by enabling this. The app is largely disappointing and lacks polish despite begging for money at every interval, whether it’s the limit-action system(blocking is a restricted action!) or to use literally any other feature besides DMs, likelist(which displays primarily blurred folks), IRL Meet n Greets(all seem to be in NYC), and the profile swipes.

   I love the app but the main gripe I have is that it doesn’t actually respect our age preferences. I’ll put my age preference between 25-30 but I’ll get people that are 40-60+ hitting me up because of their age preferences. Just because I’m within their preferences doesn’t mean they’re within mine, so they shouldn’t even be seeing me to begin with. The preferences need to be a two way street. If I mine set to “interested in ages between 25-30” that should be all I get on my feed. I shouldn’t be getting anyone outside of that range just because I fall within their’s. I’m 28, I don’t want to meet up with some 50year old person or someone old enough to be my parent. The only reason I should show up on their feed is if I include them within my preferences, not because I’m within theirs. If I happened to put “interested in ages between 25-60” while the other has “interested in “25-60” sure, I get it, let me show up on their feed. But when I ONLY want people to be within the certain age range, there’s no reason someone outside of my preferred age range should be seeing me. Also the other gripe I have with the app is that it looks like it got rid of the “looking for hookups” option (maybe it was a one night stand option). Now it’s only “long term” or “short term” relationships. Would def like the other option back because I’m not even looking for anyone to date so short term doesn’t work for me.

4. 3/5Seemed promising, but feeling let down

   To start, I’ll name the positives. I like that the app has screenshot protection. That’s about all I have to say in that regard. Unfortunately, in every other aspect, it falls short. I use the free version, so I know that I am going to off of limited features, however, out of every app I’ve ever used this one seems to have the most paywalls. The app is basically unusable, unlike other free versions of dating apps. Being a woman who’s seeking women, options are already limited, so I was hoping this app would open the door to meeting my kind of people, but it seems to be over run by straight dudes and I get bombarded with creepy messages all day. I understand wanting to be inclusive but this app really doesn’t cater to the lgbt community at all. At the very least you should atleast be able to set age preferences because there’s no reason a late twenty something like me should be seeing 18 year olds or 65 year olds, and heaven forbid they’re letting 65 year olds have access to 18 year olds. You should also be allowed to choose not to see men if you aren’t looking for one. Again, not helping the lgbt community by only catering to the straight men who have over run the app to harass queer women. I understand the app needs to make money somehow but I’m not paying those ridiculous prices to tell an lgbt app not to force me to interact with only men. Rant over, hopefully you guys work on these issues and maybe I’ll consider coming back.

5. 5/5Ehh…mid and boring

   So I had the app for a few days now and at first I got so many messages out the gate. Started to notice it was only older and middle aged straight men. Which is not a huge problem however, I’m 26 and queer. Saw a few females around my age that were bi or lesbians, few young guys around my age or younger but I hardly got any queer matches, variety of people, or anyone that was close to my area. A few were but not many. It’s just a bunch of random older straight or “straight” men messages with the same message responses felt very bot even though I know they are quick responses. It just got annoying reading the same messages over and over again. I even changed “opened to everyone” to “women” and I saw women in the swipe section but hardly got any women or queer matches. It’s hard to find someone that has your preference or interests because it doesn’t tell you. The top picks are a waste because you have to pay to see them. You only have 24 hrs to respond and it disappears but I end up clearing all the messages out because no one is my vibe. I’m also not paying to talk to people. You can only skip but so many times so I would leave the app and come back later. Half the people in the app seemed fake anyways so the app became very boring fast and I was really excited to try this one out too. I just felt it lacked variety and doesn’t allow you to find potential matches without having to swipe forever to find them.
