  1. 5/5This app will change your life!

I have ADHD and while a lot of people think that it is just about focusing and sitting still, there are so many things that make it so difficult to live with. One of those things is keeping track of basic tasks that need to be done in a way that doesn’t overstimulate us and make us shut down completely. Included in this is the ability to remember all of the things that we need to do, each room or area that we need to do it in, the last time that we did them, how to spread that out with a routine that is reasonable, and a way to keep us engaged while doing it. This app does all of that and more! The organization by color based on what we need to get done even makes it easy to take in the information so that we can feel a sense of accomplishment to see an entire room filled with green icons because it’s clean. Since you can create custom lists of things that need to be done and when, you can even use it for things that are not entirely cleaning related. I have two Siberian Huskies so cleaning them and their grooming supplies are just two of the tasks I need done. With this, I can remind myself to trim their nails, give them baths, and when to add vitamins to their food each week. Most people might not feel this type of appreciation in an app, but this app has lifted a huge weight off of my shoulders. I finally feel like I can focus on my career and personal life knowing that this is one less concern I’ll have. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

  2. 5/5Game changer

I hardly ever leave reviews, but this app is amazing. It’s stopped arguing from my kiddo about how much he does, because all kids think they have to do everything. He’s wanting to compete with his dad. He’s shocked by how much I (his mom) does. His dad are neck and neck for chores. And the effort options allow him to spend about the same amount of time cleaning each day, even if he’s doing more intense things. He likes that because he doesn’t feel like hes doing less chores even though he spending the same amount of time working on them. We instituted a prize at the end of the week based on the tasks completed. I love that I can check his work when he’s done too. It keeps him honest. It’s also good because my husband and son are not both waiting for me to tell them what to clean. Which just isn’t healthy for a marriage to have to be telling someone else what to do NOR being the one being told what to do. This way everything is getting done. The effort calculators also helped my husband and I realize that we just don’t have the time to keep things as clean as we expect them to be. We’re hiring cleaners this week to come in 1-2 times a month to hit the stuff we’re just not getting to and it will make us feel like it’s worth it. I have also contacted the developers a few times with questions and suggestions. I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly they got back to me. I hope the app flourishes and continues to make improvements to stay relevant.

  3. 5/5Worth every penny!!!

I’ve tried more chore charts, systems, and calendars than I can count and was never successful with them. I also have been terrible about getting the family involved so would take on more than one person reasonably can do, therefore my house was never really getting 100% clean. I saw an IG ad about this working for people with ADHD and I was intrigued by it. I have long known I had ADHD (since the 80’s before it somehow became popular to say that??!) and suspected that may be why my systems just weren’t working for me. I downloaded the free version and tried it a bit and was amazing that just breaking tasks down into smaller and more achievable actions made me want to do it each day, moreover I finally was feeling a little bit of a sense of accomplishment whereas before I’d be so overwhelmed I’d either do nothing or marathon clean for hours to try to get things done. Now I have the premium version and my entire family is involved. My two sons are competing for first and second place daily and sometimes doing more than they’re even assigned. My youngest also has ADHD and it’s been so easy for him to stay motivated with this app. I have been recommending it to anyone who will listen lately. It’s truly changed my life and the cleanliness of my home. As an added bonus my whole family is feeling a sense of accomplishment and less stress, which a clean home and hard work brings. By far my favorite app I have ever used! Thank you for developing this!

  4. 5/5Especially helpful for those with ADHD

OMG! This app has changed my life. I downloaded the free version awhile ago, but I never got into it. ADHD causes me to get easily overwhelmed by many things, especially housework. When I saw that the premium version came with daily schedules and I could add everyone in my house, that sold me. It was a little tedious adding all the tasks for each room, and creating custom rooms/tasks, but once I had thought of every little detail, it was game on! It’s so simple. You can adjust the frequencies of things that need to be cleaned. Like things that are every 6 months, I make those seasonal and choose March & September and also I make sure those are assigned to weekend days. It accomplishes the spring/fall cleanings. If you don’t have enough tasks assigned per day, the app will let you know. My partner and I each do 9-10 tasks a weekday and 18-20 per day on the weekends. My son gets fewer assigned to him, and on the weeks he’s with his Dad, we just look at the “everyone” schedule and do any of my son’s tasks that aren’t in his bedroom. And the tasks are easy to do when it’s just a few things. I no longer have to think about how my whole house needs cleaned because I know it’s going to get done. Before, we would just panic clean before guests came over and try to do everything at once. Not only was that super stressful, but there’s no way we were cleaning as well as we should. When you only have to do a few things, you make sure you’re doing a good job. I’m so happy I found this app!

  5. 5/5The family is finally helping!

This app has been a game-changer!!! I tried to write my own solution in another organization tool and it required way too much maintenance work because it lacked needed features. Sweepy has all the features I was hoping for: - Assign some rooms or tasks to specific people - Adjust the frequency of tasks individually - Set some tasks to be seasonal (bring in firewood) or “on demand” (unpack from trip) - Create custom “Rooms” (we have Car and Errands, so you’re not even limited to actual Rooms) to group custom tasks together - Only positive reinforcement; no penalties! (And yet the tasks will come right back in a few days if you don’t do them the first time) - Data on whether the current assigned “Effort” will allow the household to cover all tasks configured (I’m learning to adjust my expectations) - Color-coding helps the family have a gut feel on how the household is doing as a whole - Self-reported accountability (absolutely key for tweens and teens in my opinion because they need to develop these skills for themselves, not just when Mom is watching) We are only a few days in, but my “agent of chaos” spouse and Autistic teen have both done tasks and say the app is intuitive and helpful. The daughter home from college who just had surgery is temporarily on a reduced “Effort” which she can increase as she heals and then set to 0 when she goes back to school. I’m really optimistic that this tool is going to work much better than paper chore checklists and To Do apps we’ve tried in the past!
