Enjoy! ============================ IMPORT FROM OTHER SERVICES ============================ Sofa can now import from the services you've been using for years. Pull in your books, movies, shows, and games from Goodreads, Letterboxd, Trakt, Apple Reminders, and more. ============================ EXPORT YOUR SOFA LIBRARY ============================ The old Plain Text and Spreadsheet exports have been replaced by a single Export All Data option. You get one zip file containing: - A spreadsheet of everything in your library with your lists, notes, and custom Ingredients all in their own columns - Separate sheets for the planner, travel, expenses, and more - Folders with all your attachments and cover images ============================ CHANGES & IMPROVEMENTS ============================ - You can now tap any episode's checkbox in a TV show's episode list to mark it watched, including episodes that haven't aired yet. - Board Games is once again a category you can turn on in Settings. Add games manually from the Add Custom Item flow, give them properties and notes, and they'll show up in search, smart lists, Logbook, and the rest of Sofa just like any other category. (There's no online board-game lookup yet — items are added by hand for now.) - Started and Finished dates for tracked TV shows now reflect when you actually watched, not when you tapped Finish. - Catch Up to Here and Skip Up to Here now respect Hide Specials — Season 0 episodes are no longer touched when you have specials hidden. - The completion celebration screen now shows your actual Finished date and formats long durations with thousand separators (e.g. 7,712 days to complete). — "Complete & Log" is now available for items set to Track Only, so you can quick-log a game (or book, or anything) without cluttering the Logbook and still log the finished item when you're done. - Reduced memory use during podcast playback, especially for episodes with chapter artwork. - Switching from Simple Counter to Check Things Off now defaults the checkpoint type to the natural unit for the media (e.g. Chapters for books) instead of carrying over the previous unit. - Grid layouts now better scale items to the platform. ============================ BUG FIXES ============================ - Movie release dates showing the premiere date (or other early event) instead of the theatrical release. - Edge case where release dates could display one day off depending on your time zone. - TV episode titles now correct themselves automatically when TMDB updates them after release. - Podcast smart lists now correctly apply episode-level filters to the displayed episodes. - Fixed start and end times shifting unexpectedly when changing an event activity's location. - Fixed the end date jumping forward a day when adjusting the start time near midnight. - Multi-day activities now keep their duration when you move the start. - Fixed the end time snapping to one minute past start after picking a location in a new timezone. - Tapping empty space in the Date & Time section no longer clears the - Turning All Day off now restores your original times instead of replacing them with a generic default. - Multi-day all-day events keep their full span when you turn All Day off. - Data Card settings now appear when editing The Pile and a Data Card layout is selected. - Service names on Data Cards no longer duplicate and now appear in a consistent alphabetical order across every item in the list. - Marking unaired episodes as watched now fully updates progress everywhere. - Crash that could close the share sheet immediately when picking a category. - Crash after typing a query and clearing the search field with the X. TV SHOW TRACKING Collapsible seasons, a Hide Spoilers mode, a choice of progress display (Percent, Watched count, or Remaining), and a new "Caught Up" Smart List filter. LOGBOOK Log Again brings back one-tap re-logging. Repeated Quick Log taps, podcast episodes, and TV episodes now bundle into tidy collapsed rows instead of flooding the day with separate entries. TV episodes group by season by default. MORE • TV Time import now supports the official GDPR export — full episode-level watch history, rewatches, movies, and custom lists. • Smart Lists can now filter by title (contains, equals, excludes) and support multi-range filters. • Notes can show as a compact "Little Icon" instead of a full inline card. • New "Date Edited" sort. IMPROVEMENTS FOR 5.2.1 ============================ - Importing your history no longer floods Enjoying with shows you finished years ago — only recently watched shows are tracked automatically, and the rest import ready to track whenever you want. - Sofa is now much faster for large libraries — quicker Enjoying refreshes, smoother Logbook view switches, and less background work during iCloud sync. - Fixed a crash on Mac when resizing the window or transitioning the sidebar. - CSV imports misreading Excel-formatted dates (like "9-Feb-14") as ancient years — they now import as the correct date. WHAT'S NEW ============================ PODCAST PLAYER - Listen as a Series — follow any podcast like a TV show, in order from the beginning. Progress ring, dedicated series view (Up Next / Played / Skipped), and a new CarPlay Series tab. - The player is now fully free — chapters, per-show settings, and Voice Boost unlocked for everyone. - New per-podcast settings: playback speed, voice boost, seek intervals, Skip Intro, and Skip Outro. - Chapters now include artwork, scrubber markers (iOS 26+), and auto-parsing from show notes. - New Up Next controls: choose whether new episodes land at the top or bottom, globally or per podcast. Each playlist now keeps its own sort, including manual drag order, synced across devices. - New settings: Smart Resume, Auto Play Next Episode, Only Play Downloaded Episodes, and 21 playback speeds (1.0×–3.0× in 0.1× steps). Hey gang, I've got a ton of improvements and fixes in this release. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! IMPORTING IMPROVEMENTS ============================ - Sofa now remembers your last 10 imports in Settings → Data Management — undo any of them individually, with a heads-up if a newer import touched the same items. - Trakt imports now respect dropped shows (→ Did Not Finish) and mark fully-caught-up shows as Watched instead of flooding Enjoying. New episodes that aired after you finished show up as new content. - If an import matched the wrong movie, show, book, or game, tap it to search and pick the right one. CHANGES & IMPROVEMENTS ============================ - Improvements to checking and updating tracked TV shows. - Finishing a show you've bailed on (or the new "Stop Showing" option) now keeps it out of Enjoying, Returns Soon, and the Planner. Reversible anytime via Resume Watching. - Custom items can now be added directly to your Logbook, with a date and time of your choosing. - Event countdowns now show the true number of days for far-future events. - Podcast chapters are now generated from more show-notes formats. - Timestamps in podcast show notes are now tappable — tap one to jump the player to that spot. SHORTCUTS ============================ - Start Tracking now takes a Total, a starting Current Value, and a Checkpoint Type. - Update Counter has a new Set Total mode, so you can fix or change the goal on something you're already tracking and change the unit at the same time ("set total of Dune to 48 chapters"). BUG FIXES ============================ - Podcast playback position getting lost or rewound when syncing between devices. - Manually sorted list items could jump to different positions. - Completed show could show up in Enjoying if its episode data couldn't be fetched during import. - Shows not reappearing in Enjoying when new episodes air. - Finished shows no longer get stuck as "Caught Up" when a series ends after you added it — they now complete and land in your Logbook automatically, including when you mark the last episode via widgets, Shortcuts, or the Logbook. - Tapping Sticky Note on an item you'd logged before could open and edit an older copy's note instead of creating one for the current item. - Adding a podcast to the Logbook a second time moved the existing entry's date instead of adding a new one. - A podcast followed and logged on the same day could be misread as "not new" and pull a full batch of episodes on its first refresh instead of one. - Video game search returning odd results when the query had a trailing space. - A bug that kept the Save button grayed out when adding a plan to an event, even after filling in the details. - A mystery item could appear in the Pinned Items widget even though it was nowhere to be found in the app. The widget and the app now always agree on what's pinned. - Issues where Planner items weren't properly being added to the Logbook. - Podcasts followed by RSS link (like Patreon feeds) could disappear from Up Next when any show was set to Listen as a Series. - Episode thumbnails briefly showing the wrong episode's artwork while scrolling quickly on slow networks. - Grouping a list by an ingredient now reliably places tagged items in the right group. - Shared links now save even when the page preview can't be loaded, instead of showing an error. - Issue where the widget could get stuck showing sample content instead of your queue until you reconfigured it. - The single-item Enjoying widget now updates as you track progress, instead of only refreshing after restarting your phone. - Events could stop appearing in the widget entirely (while releases and episodes still showed). - Background image for the Event countdown widget is now sharp instead of blurry when set to "Next Event."
