  1. 5/5Maximum Efficiency

Input your available ingredients, and the culinary world becomes your oyster…or trout, if you keep Kosher. Straightforward. Effective. Neither any fuss nor the slightest hint of muss. Additionally, the filtering function is spot-on for prioritizing and suspending ingredients in the recipe list. Need to use that broccoli before it goes bad? Done! Cooking dairy-free for your vegan cousin visiting from halfway across the world? Just select all the animal products under “exclude”! Want to expand your kitchen, but you know not with what? Select for one or more missing ingredients and see what ingredients open up options for the most recipes, and which ones you like best. A must for the curious, cost-conscious, the waste-conscious, the confused-about-what-to-cook, and the efficient. The app *is* super user-friendly. Much better than most. But the web version is just that much better in my view- maybe just because it’s on a bigger screen.

  2. 5/5I love this App

I’d heard of people cleaning out the vacation house fridge with only the ingredients on hand the night before going home. Got me thinking “hey, maybe there’s an app for that!” Of course there is. I like to cook and keep a lot of weird staples on hand, but I’m not creative enough to mash them together or have the time to search a gazillion websites. Found this app, checked off my 113 odd ingredients coming up with 26k recipe options across so many cultures. I was amazed. Found some great dishes to make then went shopping. A few more ingredients and it’s up to 61k recipes. Last night I made a cabbage “roll” casserole, and a mug cake for dessert, both were so yummy. When that’s gone I’m making pork fried rice and an instant pot cheesecake. I suggested this app to a few coworkers & my ex husband, they all love it! You can search dishes, it shows you what ingredients you’re missing to expand your search too. I haven’t used any other features. It’s a free app. Definitely a win!

  3. 5/5Best app on the planet

This is the best app on the planet. Truly life saving. Literally because cooking at home is healthier than eating out and this makes it very simple, fun and caters to frequently varying tastebuds. It is also life saving because it saves me time and energy to easily whip something up that’s delicious and easy to make rather than rummaging through my pantry and eventually giving up and buying food outside or eating the same 5 things over and over again. It puts variety, spontaneity and color into life again. This might have just saved my marriage that was lacking those three things. Haha. Just kiddinggggggg. This is amazing though. I now need no other apps on my phone. All day on this thing looking at different recipes and dreaming of the next moment I get to play an iron chef at home in my kitchen. Love, love, love you guys for this. Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  4. 5/5I am so impressed!

First, the file size of this app is already a major plus, only around 13mb at the time I’m writing this. I was looking for something that offered an easy way to find recipes based on what I already have in my pantry, so that nothing goes to waste. It might take some time to search through everything and list ingredients, but the voice search allows you to do multiple ingredients all at once, and it lists lots of essential ingredients that only needs a quick tap. The search function and available ingredients list in the results is also very helpful. After adding everything it gets even easier with the ability to filter recipes by max ingredients, one missing item you might need to shop for, keyword/phrase (such as instant pot, slow cooker, or microwave), and other options. You can favorite recipes if you sign up, the account is free. Seems like it’s not subscription based which is amazing. No ads as far as I can tell. This has made food prepping and saving money much easier. Thank you for such an awesome and free resource! I love it. Please continue to offer this for free, and if it was necessary to include ads at the bottom, I honestly wouldn’t mind. The only bug/critique is that sometimes if you exit from the voice search for ingredients, the app freezes, can’t refresh. Other than that, it’s 5 stars all the way!

  5. 5/5Everyone needs this app!

This is one of my favorite apps! It’s so simple to use, just scroll through the ‘pantry’ while standing in front of your real pantry and tap everything you’ve got on hand. My kitchen is quite small, so I keep a lot of food in my garage. I used to hand write everything I had out there and keep it taped to my fridge inside, this app eliminates so much hassle! I love that I can search recipes by ingredient, by meal type, etc. I even learned last night that I can filter to include multiple ingredients I have on hand, like ‘chicken’ ‘black beans’ and ‘rice’ instead of just ‘chicken’ and scrolling hoping for a black bean dish. The only thing that would make this app better would be if there were a way to have a ‘menu’ section - I know there’s one called menu, but it’s just the list of all the potential recipes you could make. What I would like is the ability to tag recipes, and have them show up in the menu section - much like the little heart sends them to favorites. I’d like if I could ‘favorite’ tried and true recipes to quickly find them, but also to tag some of them into a menu section for planning meals for the week. An additional feature could be that when you add recipes to the menu section, if two recipes use a same ingredient, you’d get an ‘are you sure?’ prompt - so you don’t accidentally plan out two meals using your singular box of pasta shells or whatever.
