   We have been using mealime since 2022. Prior to this app, if we wanted to eat healthier or cook a meal we had to google for recipes, which is sometimes difficult already because you don’t know how to Google foods you’ve never really heard of before. You have to read the whole recipe to see whether or not it was healthy or what ingredients it required. Then we had to manually write down the grocery list of the items we needed and then whenever we were ready to actually cook it we’d have to go find the recipe again and have a laptop out to read the recipe, or if we were lucky, we could print it out, but even then we started hike punching all those recipes and putting them into the binder. The whole process took forever and I don’t think it was really ensuring that we ate healthier. We didn’t always have the time to go through all of that so we would just go to the store and buy the same old pizza, spaghetti, and chicken nuggets. Now though, we can put in our food preferences, the app automatically shows us all the foods that we could choose. We click it and BOOM grocery list. Even better if there’s things around the house that we need to get while we’re at the grocery store, like toilet paper, we could just open up the app and add it to the list. Meal seriously makes everything so simple. My wife and I have had stable weight now. We eat a better variety of foods that sometimes we don’t even envy going out to eat.

2. 5/5Everything you want in a meal planning app!

   I can’t recommend this app enough! It has everything you want in a meal planning app: options for food preferences and allergies, endless variety of delicious and nutritious meals, automatic grocery lists with the ability to add your own groceries and check off what you already have, options for grocery delivery, budget friendly meal options, easy meals instructions, and the ability to import recipes from other sites or add in your own recipes from scratch. I’ve been using this for about a month and have not yet eaten the same meal twice. I particularly love that each instruction includes ingredient measurements so you don’t have to keep switching back and forth between views. It can make grocery shopping a bit more time intensive if you’re not used to shopping for certain ingredients or do your own own self checkout (particularly for produce that doesn’t have barcodes), but it’s 100% worth it. This app completely eliminates the mental load of deciding what’s for dinner but without the waste and cost of subscription meal boxes. I love knowing that I have all the ingredients needed for the meals, and I’m not wasting as much food. The only thing I wish this app could do is sync to my partners phone so they can see the meal plans and shopping lists on their own app, but it’s not a big since you can also share those via a text/email option.

   I’ve been using this app since January, and I love it!! 10 minutes and I have my week planned, including grocery list, which makes shopping so easy!! I’ve also realized that my grocery bill is less because I’m actually sticking to my list, rather than guessing and adding items I really don’t need. Plus, because my preference is flexatarian (to accommodate my husband’s preference for meat), we are still eating much more healthfully 👍I generally choose 5-6 meals, plus a night of leftovers, as well as leftovers for lunches (there are 2 of us, but I plan for four). Consequently, I have less waste; that is, by the end of the week, the fridge is practically empty! So no throwing away things I didn’t use that went bad 👍I also find that because I can use the ingredient list for each recipe to pull out all the items beforehand, prep time goes so much quicker and easier. It’s great! Mostly, I love the variety each week! And I took NO time finding recipes in cookbooks, etc! There are so many recipes in this app to choose from! I’m pretty sure I’ve only repeated one recipe in three months, but only because I liked it (not because I ran out of choices). So now it’s almost April, and I’ve decided to sign up for Pro. I really don’t need to (because there are still so many free recipes I’ve yet to try), but truly, I am so grateful to the chefs and developers of this app that I want to support them. The small fee is NOTHING compared to amount I’m saving in my grocery budget! In short, I recommend this app to anyone who wants to eat healthfully and save money!

4. 5/5What’s for dinner? Mealime!

   My friend recommended that I start using Mealime for meal planning, and I’ve never looked back! There’s so many good things about this app- tasty recipes and the grocery list make life so much easier. We used to struggle with figuring out what to make for dinner, but not anymore! Now we always have the groceries on hand that we need for our recipes. We bought the pro version because we love it so much. We also have 3 kids and they approve of a lot of these recipes. My 6 year old son likes to help us pick the meals. Some improvements I can think of are having slow cooker or instant pot recipes. A lot of the recipes have lots of steps and I have gotten a little weary of making “fancy” meals. It may just be the meals that I pick, but I’ve only found a few truly easy meals. And after we bought the pro version I was expecting to be able to modify a meal plan whenever I wanted without having the grocery list reset- I would love it if this could be a feature. Sometimes I don’t want to redo the whole meal plan- I just want to add another meal to my already delicious plan! More allergy free recipes would be nice- one of my friends has a son with multiple allergies and when she put all of those in to avoid it left her with very few options. I’ve recommended this to many friends and will continue to do so! Thank you for making our life so much easier. ❤️

5. 5/5Excellent for busy ppl who want real meals!

   I've been through 3 mail order meal kit companies and it's either shipping problems, bad produce, proteins going bad too rapidly, or not enough variety with all of them. Having a wheat sensitivity and being hyper sensitive to spicy things, they weren't working out too well for me, I'm also health conscious and eating rice and potatoes every single night also wasn't a good option. I'm a good cook, but not very creative in coming up with good recipes, not to mention it's time consuming. Mealime is amazing!! The recipes are plentiful for every diet, adjusted to family size, easy, quick, yummy, well organized, and I can tailor my shopping list to be free range, grass fed, and responsibly wild caught or sustainably/humanely farmed proteins. The automatically generated shopping list is an excellent feature, and having it automatically tie in to your delivery site (I use Walmart grocery) saves so much time! You add the item to cart and check it off, it's that simple! If you don't need it, just don't add it to your cart and check it off. Since everything comes straight from the grocery store, it's fresh and lasts longer. It's also costing me less per meal and overall per week than even the cheapest mail order meal kit companies. I'm not sure what the best part is about this app, everything it has to offer ranks a 10 in my book!! And it's free!! I may one day upgrade to premium but right now I'm tight budgeted and I'm overly pleased with the free version. Thank you to the makers of Mealime!!! This is exactly what my boyfriend and I needed!!
