1. 5/5By far the best Chinese learning app I’ve found so far!

   Forget about Duolingo, Hellochinese, Lingodeer, Chineseskill, or other Chinese language-aimed learning apps; SuperChinese knocks the rest out of the park. If you want to learn Chinese but don’t have the resources to do so, I can only recommend this app. Lessons consist of four (five if you pay extra) parts: vocabulary, grammar, text, and a mini test, along with an AI intensive lesson if you pay for Chao. This is one of the best tools for my studying. It’s like a workbook inside one app. There’s dozens of helpful features like a textbook detailing sentences, vocab, and grammar learned in each lesson in case you forget; specific pinyin lessons with a pinyin chart; different sections that cover the different HSK levels; specific hanzi lessons that teach you stroke order and how to write the characters; specific lessons that can help you with day-to-day conversations; and even talk rooms where you can chat with other users. If you need extra help learning or don’t understand something, you can ask the AI teacher for explanations. It’s also helpful for review and practice. This is a really solid 10/10 app for me, I highly recommend you at least try it out to see if you like it. If you do, you won’t regret purchasing Plus. I can tell this app was made with care by the developers, it’s definitely not shoddy. It’s definitely a good app to invest in. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Five stars

2. 5/5Enjoying this app!

   This is the first time that I have written a review for an app. I’ve been searching for an app that also records the learners voice and compares the recording to a native speaker: Rosetta Stone has this capability by comparing a learner’s voice wave against a native speaker for correctness. Doulingo also does records but similar to Rosetta Stone just indicates if your recording just matches. This apps take it a step further by showing the learner which (汉字.. hànzì) he/she had mispronounced the 汉字 a common mistake learners of Chinese make by not applying the correct tone used by the 汉字. The App developers take this a step further by helping the learner visually see which 汉字 were pronounced with the correct tone (in green) and which 汉字 were not pronounced correctly (in red). Language learning for some is not a straight forward process, for some learners like myself learning a language requires multiple sensory inputs; this process works for me as a native English speaker, and through this process I can speak and write proficiently in Spanish. I’ve acquired B1 in German through this process as well. And no one ever speaks about individuals who are dyslexic and their L2 acquisition... I personally can and it is with the help by App developers who get it, get that learning any L2 language for someone requires multi-sensory inputs and feedback. Thanks for creating this app! HSK-1 here I come!

3. 5/5It’s helping me learn!

   My favorite thing about SuperChinese is that it’s helping me learn to think in Chinese with immersive exercises where there’s a brief audio conversation and then a question (in Chinese) about what was said. You don’t just have to transcribe what you heard; you have to think critically and often pick an answer that uses different words to explain the concept. None of the questions are tricky logically, for example they rely only on basic math like adding 4+1, but you have to actually understand the context to answer correctly. Other apps I’ve used focus more on transcription and translation, and SuperChinese goes a big step beyond that. Tiene la opción de configurar la app en varios idiomas, y he seleccionado español. La versión en español tiene muchos errores en las traducciones, la mayoría de los cuales son muy pequeños. Hay una opción de “reportar un error,” y cuando lo hago, me suelan responder el próximo día. Overall I’m very satisfied with the app. I did the free trial of a couple of Chinese learning apps before I decided that this was the one that was worth the money to get the paid version, and after a few months of using it, I am still happy with my decision. Note that they run a lot of promotions, especially on holidays, so you can get a better deal if you watch for that.

4. 5/5best for chinese learning

   i’ve tried other learning apps not specifically made for Chinese like Duolingo and Rosetta Stone, but this one is much better than both combined. this is mainly because it recognizes that Chinese is a language with it own unique systems like tones, pīnyīn, and stroke order. here are some of its best features: 1. Pronunciation learning lessons: these are off to the side of the main lessons, but they can help you to learn how to pronounce tones, as well as more complicated sounds like q, zh, and x. 2. Character writing feature: normally to learn how to write in Chinese, you would need to get a piece of paper and look at the characters and write it. super chinese has this built in. you are giving a write option when you first learn a character, and can also practice the stroke order of anything you’ve learned so far in the vocab section of the textbook. 3. pīnyīn incorporation: how to pronounce the characters is one of the most important parts of chinese. but, relying on Pinyin all the time can make you forget the characters. knowing the characters but not the pinyin makes it so you don’t know how they sound. better chinese has a simple solution: A button to toggle pinyin on and off.

5. 5/5Best Chinese Study App Ever

   This app does what no others do. Sure Chinese not only teaches you Chinese, but each lesson gives you lots of incredible listening and speaking practice. I have already passed HSK4 and am studying for HSK5, and honestly, I’m finding the Level 3 lessons useful and challenging. Each lesson provides a lengthy conversation in full speed Chinese that really forces you to improve your listening. Later, you get to learn each sentence, and amazingly, it actually does help you say the words with the correct tones. Overall, excellent. The only app that is a close second is Busuu, but Super Chinese is hands-down the best one. Invest in this (and HSKOnline, another app by the same company) and your Chinese will improve dramatically. 加油！ NOTE: I earlier gave this app a low score because there was a bug with the recording feature. However, they fixed it within one day and now it’s perfect. I figured I owed it to them to update my review.
