1. 1/5Horrible customer service when go locked out of account

   I signed up for the app and it worked great for a short period of time. Then it said I had to log back in but it wouldn’t let me. I tried resetting my login information and it said it was sending me a message I never received it. So I tried emailing the company gave them my information and they said you don’t have an account. So I tried to create a new account it said you can’t because phone already being used. So I emailed the company again and realize it’s been two weeks and I’ve heard nothing. I tried calling the company I was next in line for 12 minutes and finally chose the option to leave a voicemail which rang and rang and rang and was never answered. The app worked great when it worked but absolutely zero support from customer service

2. 3/5It’s OK …

   It took a while to get the app set up (several tries over several days; quite frustrating). When I finally did get it to work, it worked very smoothly! I like not having to pull my credit card out, though holding the phone while pumping is a tad awkward. I’ve used the app about 3-4 times so far, and have been quite pleased. And the discount is clearly noted on my receipt. I was a bit disappointed this evening, however; although the app worked great, for some reason I got NO discount! Not sure why that would be. Also - 3c is a rather measly discount. Couldn’t they give regular customers a 5c discount? I do love the immediate digital receipt and option to receive it by email. Very convenient. UPDATE (Feb 17, 2024): it would be VERY nice if you could compare prices from, say, a 50-mile radius before deciding to get your gas — rather than having to be near a station before it tells you the price. Could you please add this functionality? Or am I missing something?

3. 2/5It seems broken

   I have visited at least three Sunoco outlets at different locations within the past year. Each time the app appears ready to authorize the payment, it ends the payment authorization and issues a notificationthat there is an issue at “this location” and to try again later. 1 year later, same issue. In the past the app notified me my account has been compromised in some way but does not go into details. I refuse to allow it to join with my checking account as it sometimes suggested. After one year of continued issues with this app, it appears it is time for a permanent uninstall after several updates that did not resolve any of these issues.

4. 5/5Complete Incompetence

   After over two months of begging for help from Sunoco’s poor excuse for Customer Service... I have given up on ever getting my Sunoco Credit Card to successfully load into the app. I have found a competitor in my neighborhood with more gas stations, all equipped with app compatible pumps, and an app that actually works. After a 25 year plus relationship w Sunoco, I’ve decided its time to move on. Three parties, Sunoco, Citibank and Stupido... and no one can figure out how to make this work. Lord have Mercy.

5. 5/5Variety of settings..

   Variety of settings to fit my needs. Easy receipts right on the app, with no need to bother with pumps that are out of paper, or lines inside the station to get your receipt. Pull up to the pump, use face recognition (which I could if not on my motorcycle with a helmet and eye protection) or a 4 digit passcode you make up, enter the pump number, fill up and go. Just don’t forget to replace your fuel cap and close the fuel filler door on your vehicle. You’re all set. Love it, especially when on my bike, since my phone is generally easily accessible without getting off of the bike.
