5/5Such a fun app!!
This is such a fun concept and straightforward design. This app is easy to pick up and enjoy throughout the day without it taking any additional time out of your day staring at yet another app… it’s just easy and fun. My husband and I have only been using it for a few days but we are getting ridiculously competitive over it already. You may find yourself speed running in place like a nutcase every evening trying to overtake your friends, but it’s definitely worth it. Stompers has already helped me stay more in touch with a few friends than I normally do, and truly helps me stay a little more active throughout the day! My ONLY recommendation to the developers is to add usernames below each character when you’re selecting where to use a bat/banana/sign because some of these characters look similar and it’s hard to tell who’s who! Other than that it’s so perfect!!!

3/5Timezones
This is an amazing app, honestly has made me, my friends, and my family more active. However there is one issue that I see. Timezones. There isn’t an accurate way to calculate scores properly when competing with others in different time zones. For example, the step counter ends at 9pm. Well which 9pm? For myself personally, I compete with my family and friends out East and West. So while EDT/EST finishes at 9pm first due to their time zone, MDT/MST are still able to continue because 9pm EDT/EST is 7pm MDT/MST. Yet when it comes to calculating final scores, it calculates based off of EDT/EST and therefore not calculating all Timezones, because for the group I’m in, those in MDT/MST have two hours to basically changes their scores however that’s not what actually occurs…as the scores calculate at 9pm EDT/EST but those in MDT/MST aren’t alerted as the app tells out countdown that we still have until 9pm MDT/MST. A friend had a suggestion of being able to create separate groups. So it’s as if you’re tracking your steps across each group, but able to play boosters or actions cards on those in each group. And example would be group 1 and group 2 track your steps but your upgrade earned in group 1 can only be played in group 1. However you can earn an upgrade/action item in each group.

4/5Great concept, glitches need fixing
This app makes me want to walk more because I’m incredibly competitive with my sisters, who I forced to join as my required friends.😂 However, the app keeps glitching with the coins you earn from winning. I haven’t seen any more of my earned coins in the last week or two, which is frustrating since I’m saving up for an outfit. It’s already going to take forever since an outfit is like 700 coins & I earn maybe 2 a day. I also REALLY wish it would update your steps without opening the app - it’s really frustrating to be notified that the day is over at 9, only to realize that it didn’t count thousands of steps because you didn’t open the app right before 9. It’s also very annoying that you can’t count steps past 9pm, but I understand that they have to put a paywall somewhere to make money.

3/5Fun game, but UX isn't perfect.
This is a super fun game to play with your friends, as you have essentially a remote walk-a-thon every single day. You can sabotage your friends by hitting their avatars with baseball bats, or making them slip on bananas, which is quite enjoyable. The only complaint I have is that some parts of the UX are very annoying. One example of this is the fact that target selection for baseball bats or bananas only allows you to step through all your friends one-by-one with arrow buttons. This spam clicking to find the one target you're looking for can be very tedious when you have many people added on the app. Why not allow for users to use the same slider from the main screen to pan over their friends and tap to select a target? That would be a lot less tedious. Furthermore, the game can be pretty laggy at times, with my friends suddenly jumping up 1000 steps at times out of nowhere, and baseball bats/bananas just... not doing anything when used.

4/5Add other ways to track
My friends invited me to join. They wear Apple, I wear a Fitbit. There is no way to track my progress accept by carrying my Apple phone, which I will not do constantly. It is a truly fun app, and I would love to participate. But, it is definitely discriminatory in favor of those who are all Apple all the time. If it allowed a way to track other methods, it would be a 5 I am updating: I broke down and bought myself an Apple Watch. I really wanted to participate. And it’s actually been a blast. I would give 4 1/2 stars. A suggestion would be to add a way to smack talk those participating. We are doing it through text. But even just being able to send a few words would make it even more fun. An idea for another app could be to have friends compete in calories burned regardless of the form of exercise. It fun app overall
