There’s a ton of bugs within the latest update. Kicks you out if you’re not in it constantly, then doesn’t open properly when you’re forced to log back in. Doesn’t tag/@ properly on desktop or mobile - you have to select one platform, tag/@, duplicate and tag/@ again. Repeat the same process until all platforms are done. Their suggested scheduling times don’t match the actual platforms suggested times, so you’re constantly wondering who’s the best: the actual platform who has real time data, or a subscription based application that your company is paying $$$$$ for. The reporting data doesn’t give you any more information than what you get for free with your business accounts on your FREE platforms. You’re paying money for a tiny bit of convenience. That’s it.

2/5Can’t download anymore
I noticed in my Smart Inbox that certain messages weren’t being shown, even though I was seeing them on my desktop. I updated my phone, restarted it, closed the app, and still, missing messages in the Smart Inbox even though I had every source selected. I finally decided to delete the app to clear the data, hoping that would help but now when I try to download it back to my phone, it times out and nothing is downloaded. Now I can’t even check the few messages on my phone, which is unfortunate since it is essential for me to view notifications while I’m away from my desktop. Hoping there’s a fix soon!

1/5Beware: Hidden Cancelation Stipulations for Overpriced Service
I’m very disappointed in Sprout Social. We’ve been faithful customers for a year, contributing $350 a month for 12-months for our church’s social media scheduling. We recently had an independent contractor support us during our Advent campaign in which she recommended using Later ($360 for the year!) which is much more cost effective and allows us to use our funds toward missions and outreach initiatives. When we reached out before our renewal date, we were told they already begun processing our renewal since we didn’t let them know 30 days before (we were not asked to sign an authorization to process this renewal). Despite pleas for a collaborative solution, we’re being continuously told we did not reach out 30 days prior (during Christmas, when our focuses were intentionally not on budget until 1/01). This will result in losing $4200 we don’t have budgeted for a service we won’t use. Please beware of Sprout! This is discouraging and deceptive communication that communicates they’re only in it for the money and not for the opportunity to support businesses, especially local nonprofits.

I’ve been using Sprout Social for a while now, and the mobile app has completely transformed how I manage my social media on the go. The intuitive design makes scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and reviewing analytics both simple and efficient. I love how quickly I can toggle between multiple profiles, ensuring I never miss an important comment or message. Plus, the in-depth reporting features help me analyze trends and refine my content strategy right from my phone. Overall, Sprout Social truly helps me stay on top of my social media presence anytime, anywhere. Highly recommended!

3/5Decent, save for a few issues
I love Sprout, I do. I’ve been using it for about 5 years and it’s a powerful tool. The app works great with an older iPhone, but if you’re using the app with an iPhone X, expect the keyboard to cover the area where you would be able to type a response. It doesn’t happen all the time but when it does it’s really frustrating. I also wanted to share a Customer Care experience. Usually Sprout’s CC is amazing but we had a really weird experience yesterday. We had to reset our password like 5 times to be able to login (again, specific to the app). I don’t know exactly what happened but the agent who was helping us continued to say there was nothing he could do to help, and that we were typing the password incorrectly. There is nothing more patronizing and frustrating to receive CC that assumes you and your 4 different employees with phones are all typing the password incorrectly when the login/pass worked all all of our MacBooks. When we pushed to log a bug, the agent said “there isn’t a history of these complaints so there was nothing I could do.” After like 5 app uninstalls/reinstalls with all of us logged out, we finally got back into our account. I just wish that this agent would have tried to listen rather than assume we are all a bunch of idiots. Nothing worse than: “did you try to turn it off and back on again” when your whole team works in IT/tech.
