   I have been waiting for the Spec’s by my house to open and once it did, they launched delivery with this app. Have ordered multiple times and it has been great! I get a notification it is being shopped, when a driver has been dispatched, who the driver is and a tracking view to know where the driver is and when they should arrive. Drivers are super professional. And I have received my delivery within the requested window I selected. Given the current situations, they are doing a great job. Especially having it delivered versus going out. Props to Spec’s for having a great staff!

2. 1/5Buggy app & adverts obscure cart

   Long time loyalist of Specs. Noticed this app is on a similar platform/ base as other liquor stores use. Not a fan of how glitchy or bug ridden it is. For the past month, I put things in my cart, but when I click on it the cart says it is empty. Then I put something else in the cart & the previous number updates to one more. Real frustrating. Also not a fan of how you can’t link back to products from the cart (when it actually does work). Another big complaint is the annoying and unnecessary manner in which when you go to check out like 75% of the page gets obscured with food recommendations that hide your view of contents of your cart. Most other sales apps only make that a banner on the bottom of the page (like 20-30% of the view). Sadly, this app cannot compare with the Total Wine app. I sure wish it did & hope they improve the app soon.

   I placed an order and at the payment screen it appeared that the order didn't go through. It went back to the actual cart, no confirmation. I tried it again, same thing. I decided to go check my card for charges and it was on there, twice, still no confirmation on the app. I got two emails though. I'm guessing one will drop off, but it's an inconvenience. Not sure why the order never confirmed but I'll follow up when I pick up.

   The Specs app used to be relatively easy and straightforward to use, however they recently added in “sponsored” bottles in the search results which completely clutters the screen and degrades the UX of this app. There are popups on the Home Screen that are hard to click out of and take you to a search that only shows you the promoted items, even when you try to search something else. Additionally, they have audio that plays when you open it, which kills any streaming music. Frankly they’re losing my business based on the fact Total Wine and More’s app has a much cleaner UI and has ad-free search results which makes it much easier to confirm they have what I’m looking for.

5. 4/5A Life Saver, but app needs refinement

   It is a great service to be able to shop on line and get home delivery. I am really grateful that Spec’s has this app and service. But, the app is very cumbersome to use and would benefit greatly by introducing simple features which are standard on other stores’ shopping sites. Examples of such features include: sorting, filters on searched items, not having to start searches from scratch every time you “go back” from detailed view on an item, etc. In addition, the tags on individual items need to be cleaned up and standardized to make the searches more useful.
