  1. 5/5It was all good until this last update, very disappointed!

I really enjoy this app, but now after this last update it has gone down hill. I used this app because I had the ability to keep my info secure if anyone was using my phone. You were able to have a security options to put a passcode or Face ID to open the app. Now anyone can open if anyone was using my phone in passing. So now someone who is using my phone in passing for some odd situation, they could accidentally open my app and see all my inventory. Why would you pay for a secure service that doesn’t let you keep your app secure. Also, you were able to choose stock images for your photos and they took that away as well. If you’re going to make an update, why would you make it worse, it was better before. Please give us back the features that make this app worth having, if this app doesn’t allow to have a passcode option anymore, I may have to go to a different app. May have to do the whole file & folder option in Dropbox, at least I can keep someone from opening my files encase I had my phone unlocked and they picked it up. This really is a downgrade, I’m so disappointed.

  2. 1/5Good responses in terms of customer service but ridiculous when it comes time to give money back

I purchased this app (the full version) to the sum of roughly $500. Apparently at some point when signing up I signed up for a monthly membership instead and then signed up for the full service after. Problem 1 - they charged my credit card the full rate rather than the promotional rate advertised. I caught the error and emailed customer service right away. The response... “well since you originally purchased the monthly membership there is nothing we can do to refund you for the full price being taken from your card”. My question... “ok let’s say I did purchase the monthly membership (which I very well may have) why would you take 12 months off of my credit card all at once?!” Developer response... sorry for the inconvenience, we recommend cancelling this membership and starting another to honor the introductory price.... so let me get this straight. You cant refund me because I chose the monthly rate, yet you charged my card for 12 months at the “monthly rate” . Now you want me to cancel the membership I already paid for ($500), you’re not going to refund me, and start another account with the introductory rate of $250. Please tell me you don’t try to work everyone over like this. My plan is to get my year worth out of this app and cancel it. Bunch of crooks. I’m actually contacting my credit card company, Apple, and possibly my lawyer as I consider this theft. I have it all in writing also so there’s no denying it.

  3. 5/5Amazing!! Made organizing super easy and effortless.

For some context - I spent months trying and testing out almost 10 different apps to help me organize my office and home. After a comprehensive search I decided on Sortly. I have never given a review before but I think this was deserved. Each app had its flaws and advantages but with Sortly there was no compromise. I was amazed by how simple and visual it was. It took me almost no time to get started It’s incredibly intuitive and their folders based system makes it really easy to see/organize your stuff. I was able to catalog my items by location and then tag items based on type. In the last 2 weeks I have logged almost all stuff (over 300 items) and it saves me about 4-5 hours each week not having to manually search for items every time a client calls asking for them. I did have a couple of issues syncing between my sortly desktop and sortly mobile but I think it was temporary (maybe because of my bad rural internet) aside from that it’s been near perfect. My next step is to start using the qr labels feature to so that I can start searching for stuff by scanning to start saving myself more time. I have also sent their team suggestions to make the app work even better ( they are saying some of them are already in the works) If you are looking for an app to get your office organized, I could not be more confident to recommend Sortly.

  4. 1/5Everything Was Randomly Deleted

I have been using this app ever since June when I switched from the “Inventory List ” app since it was deleted from the App Store. It is still on my device but I can no longer add anything to it. I found Sortly (free version) & manually entered every single item from one app to this one. I make jewelry, so I keep track of how many of each stone color/size that I have. I keep track of how much one single stone costs & I have thousands of stones. I just opened my app today, after this recent update last week & come to find that ALL of my items except ONE are completely gone. Now I literally have NO idea how much any stone costs per piece because of this app. I even made a log-in when the update came so that my info would never be lost. I am able to view items in my old app, but again those numbers are completely off since the switch to Sortly months ago in June. It is now impossible for me to calculate cost when I finish an item! Customer support responded once asking if I had tried logging in online (which of course I had already tried) & asked what my email was with the account (which was clearly the one I was sending my complaint from) & nothing else! I may have considered upgrading to the premium version but for my needs, I simply need an app that keeps track of type, quantity & cost per item. I now refuse to take the time to enter hundreds of items back into the app in fear that it will all just be RANDOMLY deleted again. My small business can not afford another glitch like this, especially during the busiest time of year! Do not waste your time with this app.

  5. 3/5Sufficient Inventory App

I started using this app after my other one was no longer compatible with newer phone updates. It does the job that I need (small business inventory) but in order to be the best there needs to be a few updates. 1. The camera view doesn't match the picture that is snapped. I have to get really close to objects to not show the background because the snapped picture captures more than what is seen on the phone display (I do not have this problem on my regular phone camera.) This only became a problem with the last couple of app updates. 2. I wish we could edit/add entry spaces "attributes" on the objects. Example: for one folder every object has a size. I wish we could add a spot that is always there that I could just tap or select from a dropdown menu with the options pertaining to that attribute (S,M,L etc). 3. The tags are unhelpful. They should be used to help search so the name of the objects aren't extremely long, which mine are. I don't like how all the tags from every listing are there in a list because it wastes time looking for the one I need and is just not user friendly. Sometimes only one or two objects share the same tag but it adds a spot to the list making it extremely long. Having attributes would help with this too. 4. I don't like how tapping on an item to view better automatically puts it in edit mode. This subtracts a star by itself. Tapping an object should put it in view mode and there should be an edit button to edit. Overall, this app does what I need but my previous one was better. I really hope these suggestions are really taken into consideration. I know this app is for general inventory but these suggestions could open up the customer base to specific inventory needs.
