1. 5/5Great to have access to my songs on all my platforms

   I have used most of the chord chart apps available in the App Store. I have been using Songbook Chordpro for several years and I always seem to gravitate back to it as my first choice. Because it uses the Songbook folder in Dropbox and is set to automatically update when I write something new or add a piece, my songs are the same whether I use it on iPhone, iPad, or my MacBook Pro. What other program can do that and do it so well. I’ll eventually get an Apple Watch and my songs will be available there. I appreciate a developer who takes the time and effort to make their app available everywhere. I no longer use Windows, but I could, and my songs would be available there. I got used to using the simple syntax of Chordpro to write out my songs and I don’t have to worry about my chords showing up over the wrong words like if I wrote them in Word. Those who whine and complain about this being too hard are not really thinking about how Chordpro creates more accurate leadsheets to share with others. And Songbook Chordpro creates great printed leadsheets for those needing a paper copy of my song. All in all, great job guys. I’m very happy to be a customer and look forward to continuing to use the software for my music for years to come.

2. 5/5My Go-To Songbook app!

   I’ve been using SongBook ChordPro for a few years now. I love how easy it is to use on any of the versions. I have the MacOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Windows versions and am using a Dropbox folder to share all my chord sheets between devices. The only thing I might ask for to improve working with the app might be an expanded ChordPro insert menu, or at least a reference sheet of all the ChordPro tags that are supported. I started using the app for my guitar sheets for jam sessions. It really helps to have all my chord sheets on my iPad rather than a binder full of loose sheets that I have to shuffle through and re-organize all the time! I’ve now started using it for my newly-acquired mandolin, and I love that I can set the instrument using ChordPro notation and the app gives me the correct chords! I’ve also played around with the group sharing function, and that really works nicely! Unfortunately most of the groups I jam with aren’t quite the tech-enthusiasts that I am, so I don’t usually get to take advantage of that set of features...but it’s nice to have the option! In short, keep up the good work! I love this app!

3. 5/5Love the app but loses my songs

   I have been using Songbook for several years as an amateur musician who is starting to gig some. Love the way it pulls songs from Chordie and allows key transitions, manual entering comments, etc. I have over 1300 songs on my two iPads and they sync nicely when making changes in either one. HOWEVER, several times I have selected songs that I have been playing for years and it will suddenly say “SONG NOT FOUND”. The title is there, but not the song. One time it suddenly lost over 300 songs at one time, many of these were entered manually or had changes made in them manually to better suit our performance style. The first time this happened, I spent weeks going thru my list and finding the lost songs and loading them in again, or, even worse, manually entering them again. It has happened several more times but not to that extent. I am becoming hesitant to use the app now, for fear it will lose songs during or right before a gig. What could be causing this? Thanks!! 4. 5/5Over 10 years with this app

   I’ve been using this app for over 10 years, and I’m here to stay. It’s my favorite chord chart app. I tried a couple of others but the simplicity of this, along with some nice functionality is what keeps me using it. One turnoff from some of the other apps is that they are subscription based. I bought this outright, and all features are available to use. Not locked behind a paywall. I use this with Dropbox, where I store PDF and text file charts. Songbook syncs to Dropbox and loads all the songs. Once loaded, it doesn’t need a connection. The app lets you search for chords on the internet, and import them in, then save it in your song list. I play in a wedding band and have to learn songs constantly. This is a nice feature, because I’m usually importing in songs, then transposing them in the app, then revising them in the app. I incorporate MIDI Program Changes in my chord charts, which Songbook supports. This has been huge for me. I send MIDI messages from MainStage to change charts while performing. The one thing I wish I would be able to do is use the PDF charts with MIDI. It only seems to work for the .txt files. Not a huge deal because most of my charts are in .txt format. Support for this app seems good as well, as I had to reach out with a question once, and someone got back to me with a helpful answer.

5. 5/5Fantastic App! Used over 8years w no problems

   Update** developers continue to roll out updates, adding many nice features. I now have over 3000 songs in my library and I use the nearly daily. Probably my favorite app ever. Update** Love the new features in 3.9.3 Being able to see categories when in "all songs" view is VERY HELPFUL to me. Also appreciate displaying keys when sharing playlists. Thx! A few reviewers have given this poor reviews which I feel are undeserved. I have used the App for over 3 years both professionally (I'm in 2 bands) and personally (I use it at church and home). I have over 2000 songs in my personal collection. I use this app multiple times every day. I have never had the problems described by these new users writing reviews. Many of my songs were originally imported from the internet - but you soon learn to to edit them as they're often at least partially incorrect. But that's not this apps fault. In one of my bands we are all "power users" of this app. We use features like a shared Dropbox account, links to mp3s, metronome, auto scrolling and we sync all our iPads together on stage so we stay together. Never had a glitch with this app at all. Lots of features are available - it just takes time to learn to use them. I have the app on my iPhone, iPad and I also have the Mac version. I use the iPad for performances - but the other versions allow me the flexibility to add a song anywhere any time. I used to keep all devices song database in sync by emailing songs to myself and opening them in each device - but eventually I got a Dropbox account and that simplified things even more. Again - no problems. I've never had anything deleted or dropped. Actually you have to go through a 2 step process to delete stuff (unless you trash your Dropbox account). Which you should have backed up anyway. App is well supported by the Dev. Questions get answered within 48 hrs. New releases require you to relink to Dropbox if you're using that feature. Nothing catastrophic if you don't do that immediately though. Your song database continues to exist on each device but it won't sync changes until you relink everything. Don't let uninformed reviews keep you from getting the best app of its type. Get this app and LEARN TO USE IT. You will not regret it
