2/5Great idea, bad execution
I like the actual business, don’t get me wrong. However… 1.) The App The app looks like it was made by a 4th grader. It is bare bones, cluttered, and not optimized whatsoever. It’s more of a web browser than an actual app—if I wanted that, I would’ve used Google. It would be nice to see more functionally added to the app; downloading an app has no purpose if everything you do just opens a nested Safari browser. Most athletes use their phones, so I’m not sure why this wouldn’t be a good investment 2.) Outbound emails and SMS It’s a little shady that we aren’t able to customize the outbound emails and texts—or, at the very least, view what the message will be. The message is a reflection on the club as well as the player, and not being able to see what will be sent is a little odd. Other than that, I think it’s great fundraising tool. I’d just like to see some improvements with user experience!

1/5Why I hate Snapraise
Snapraise is so evil like why are we continually using it when it has so many downsides. 1. Most people cannot figure out how to use it. It limits the amount of people donating because of the demographic of people who cannot use it. For example, older people who are not used and equip with the skills to use technology are unable to figure out how to input card numbers and donate properly. Most adults also do not have online transaction apps such as Venmo, Cashapp, or Zelle. So how would they be able to donate money online to fundraisers? Some people don't even have a phone. 2. It is unprofessional and rude. Sending multiple automated messages asking people for money with no human interaction or personal relationships likely will cause people to not want to donate. Whereas face to face contact with people is more beneficial and convincing, because it shows you care for those who donate to you. Automated messages sound fake and cannot convey emotions. If you got a message that said "Please donate to me for my ______!" 5 times a day, would you really want to donate? It is just not a good way to ask people to donate to you. 3. The donaters usually get nothing out of electronic donating. Usually fundraisers include a product or service in return for money. Carwashes, bake sales, candy selling and yardwork include benefits for donators. But in an online fundraiser, usually people just donate and do not get anything out of it. I know you don't have to get something out of it, and it makes profit, but it just seems rude to ask for straight up money and give nothing in return but an automated thank you message.

5/5Best in the fundraising industry
My kids have been working with Snap! Raise in Atlanta for years. As a booster club member, I thought that all the online fundraising companies did the same thing. Snap! Raise has proven to me why they are the Industry leader! From money raised, to administrative support, they are second to none. Now they have this app to make everything even more easy than it was. I recommend Snap! Raise to everyone!

1/5Slimy sales reps
Our HS XC (cross country) team used Snap for their fall season. The experience has been disgusting and unethical. The team and parents/family were completely caught off-guard when the pleas for donations said each athlete had a target donation of $900. This is cross-country! Here’s what’s happening: The sales rep from Snap set that target amount. The coach said they weren’t involved in setting this target and said the team of 65 was looking to raise $10k (far more realistic). When athletes provide contact info for donors they aren’t provided a chance to see what the outbound emails will say. This is super shady. The sales rep deliberately set the $900 target because they directly benefit by getting a higher percentage margin. We won’t be using or recommending snap in the future. We’ll just send a direct donation to the team via Zelle or check. The unknown is whether snap’s leadership is involved in this unethical behavior.
