1. 1/5Not getting my Refund

   I was given a 1-month free trial. So if you try to cancel you lose your membership. If you don't cancel they automatically charge you, but I can't get a refund on a one-month free trial.. They charge me for the whole year. They do respond to you but it takes so much time. So the only responses I get are days apart and once again they don't respond to my issues. And for all the reviews I read apple is saying if subscribe through the app we will refund you. What about people who use on web on a computer? Am I not getting a refund? They took my $99, and I am not even going to use the app for a year. I should have never tried Skillshare I am so concerned that won't give me my money back giving me another excuse. Update after Apple told me to message Skillshare. I've been trying to reach out to Skillshare for an update, but they haven't been responding. Every time I contact them, they open a new ticket and then don't follow up. I had to go back to the original ticket and speak with the person who initially denied my refund request. I explained that I was instructed to reach out to Skillshare for assistance with getting a refund, but they just asked me to wait and said that another team would get in touch with me.

2. 1/5Poor customer service experience

   I paid $99 for the yearly subscription via Apple Pay with my Apple credit card in Aug, however when I log in to Skillshare on both the app and a browser, my subscription doesn’t show. I’ve tried troubleshooting myself but had no luck. I wanted to be a Skillshare subscriber, and there were several courses I was very interested in. I finally had to reach out to Skillshare customer service who took 2-3 days to respond. When they responded, the rep asked me to provide the last four digits of my credit card and other information they needed to find my account and transaction. I provided it all as requested. I received another email which passive aggressively told me that I will need to provide the -correct- information if I want them to help me. So, I sent it all again plus and a bit of extra info just in case, as well as screenshot of my card’s app showing that I had paid and the date. Since I felt there was nothing I could say to get this rep listen or care about my situation, I went ahead and filed a dispute with the credit card company that had charged the $99; the problem is likely on their end anyway. I thought I was done with the passive aggressive emails but they continued. The rep said it was too bad that I had filled a dispute…if only I had given them the correct info they could’ve helped me! I then told the rep that if they needed to respond, to please have their supervisor respond to me instead. They refused by sending me yet another email today. I work with the public myself. No customer should need to defend themselves at any point when a payment system has failed. Your rep has talked me out of subscribing to Skillshare in the future after the error has cleared up.

3. 1/5Pricing problem and glitches

   Hi Creators of Skillshare so I’ve been having problems on your app little own website as well and I’ve been getting a lot of glitches on this app to the point that I can’t scroll down and edit my profile but not only that the pricing is a bit absurd and my opinion because I can’t pay for $50 per month let alone per year and for the yearly one is 178$! A year and I think this is a bit too much because I’m a student myself cannot afford something this expensive little alone the little price such as $50 per month but it’s just too much to cost us that much to get an inscription and a student like me cannot afford something like this per month little alone a year but not only that it’s so very glitchy as well because I couldn’t edit my profile or add a photo on it and it’s driving me insane and don’t get me wrong your app is pretty cool at all but I just can’t afford it sadly and I really want to try it so badly so maybe lower the prices to the point that’s a bit affordable so does a yearly then maybe I’ll try it out if it’s OK and I get it you guys need money too in order to continue your business but rising up the prices won’t solve anything actually that only makes it not getting more money as well so that’s the problem that I have with Skillshare AKA the app one is the pricing and two is the glitches so yeah that’s all thank you for reading my review👌👌👍✨🎉

4. 4/5Just a little lacking

   I like the idea of Skillshare-the class content is great and constantly evolving, the amount of videos and topics is almost overwhelming lol..the app could use some work. I have tons of saved classes and no way to sort through them. Also, I would REALLY like a functional Roku TV app. I hate streaming from my phone and watching it on there-I have incredibly bad vision and watching things on my phone screen (which is an iPhone plus, so not the smallest screen) puts a lot of strain on my eyes. I was able to find a free screen mirroring service to stream to my Roku but it wasn’t the easiest to use and was loaded with ads. My free trial will be up in the beginning of April and I would really like to sign up for an annual subscription but I just can’t justify the cost for something I can’t stream directly to my tv, limiting my ability to really use the service. As of now I have probably 50 classes saved to my list and have only been able to watch maybe 5 of them since I signed up in January, because as I said, the strain on my eyes is too much. Please add a Roku TV app or the ability to mirror directly from the Skillshare app to any tv!

5. 4/5Reviewing App not Platform

   I love Skillshare and I have no issues at all with the Skillshare platform. The only issue I have with the app is that I cannot look at or download the class materials on the app or upload my work from the app. This is particularly annoying when the only method I have for photographing my art is my phone or my iPad and I feel like it would be more usable if I could upload directly from that device via the app versus having to email myself the photo and upload it from my computer. This is particularly painful for me because I have satellite Internet on my computer where is on my phone I have unlimited data. Perhaps I have the opposite problem of most people but I live in the wilds of Maine and there is no broadband. Otherwise the app is very convenient and I quite enjoy just watching the classes but I’m waiting in the car somewhere and can’t even do the projects. It’s a good practice to watch the prep classes before you start the project anyway. Great app and I hope that they will consider allowing uploads and downloads within the app.
