  1. 5/5Good, but kind of glitchy

This is a great app for anyone who wants to draw! The premium option isn’t forced, so you can go free or premium without feeling like you need to pay anything. And there’s no ads (which is good for a drawing app or any app). It’s just a little glitchy, like when it fills multiple areas that you don’t tap. For example, let’s say you’re coloring in a cat. You use the fill option, tap on its body, and…it fills both the background and the cat’s body. You can obviously try to make the lines less thin and stuff, though. And then there was a weird glitch where I was drawing some Warriors (book series about cats, in case anyone who reads this is curious) fan art, I save it after being zoomed in, and it flips the art to being in a horizontal position when it’s saved after it was originally drawn vertically. Think of when you have a picture that was vertical but your phone is horizontal, that’s how it looks but when my phone is vertical it’s still like that. Basically, good drawing app but a little glitchy or something like that. Have a good day or night, sorry about my whole long paragraph :’) Edit: Found another weird glitch. I import an image and try to draw over it, but it doesn’t show what I drew despite it being in the layers, specifically when I use a different layer from the one that the imported image was in so I can remove the imported image and only have my little bit that I just traced over for fun. Hopefully that’ll be fixed at least, if the other issues aren’t.

  2. 5/5PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE DOWNLOADING 🩷

Hi I have tried so many other ones but this one is by far the best out there let me explain when I was younger I am 13 rn but when I was younger I wanted to draw but I was terrible until I found out digital drawing but eveything was complicated or you had to pay real money liek what so I was starting to lose hope but my sister had this app and I saw her use it and was liek YESSSSS so I got it for free and the amount of stuff it gives is unreal I have recommended this app to several people and I am not able to do pro cause of rules but if I had it I would bet I’d love it but even though I don’t this app is amazing I can’t belive the things I’ve made and this go I didn’t even think I could do now yes sometimes I have experienced glitch’s with the eraser and a couple others but for me it is rare I get a glitch it is a well functioning app for me now this may be cause I have a good tablet but I used to have a really crummy one but it still worked great on it but anyway it app is epic I total suggest you get it because easy to use I’m self taught for this app and also it’s great and a glitch every now and then rarely and also it’s free plus if your fortune enough to use the premium it’s cheap which ah I wish I had it anyway don’t keep scrolling through reviews jsut download it already (I know this is why to long but it’s hard to stop when your telling of your favorite app) byeeeeeee ✌️

  3. 5/5The Little App That Could

Of the three drawing apps I use (Sketchbook, Procreate, and Adobe Fresco), Sketchbook is my favorite. My review is based on simple criteria: ease of use balanced against app size and features. Procreate and Fresco are the powerhouses; big, endless features, brushes for miles and miles, compatible with most file extensions, lots of options, all great to the point of being overwhelming. Sketchbook offers many of these features, but on an intuitive and easy to learn scale. First, it’s small by comparison; it doesn’t take over your phone/tablet like the other two. It has a decent library of brushes you can customize, and there’s a mega brush pack out there you can download. The layout of the workspace has limited customization, and this is probably the apps biggest drawback if you’re used to endless workspace customizing. Sketchbook’s best feature is its ease of use. Once you learn its capabilities AND limitations, you can settle in and develop a workflow rhythm. Sketchbook is good for casual drawing and conceptual ideas that you can work up to a decent level of finish, or you can export as a .psd/.png/.tif and take it into PS for greater refinement without loss of detail. I enjoy the premium features and options of the other two, but Sketchbook hits the right balance between app size, features, and ease of use/learning curve. Give it a try. If you like it, it costs $2 whole dollars to own it outright, and that’s a great deal.

  4. 4/5Pretty good! But how do you save it to PHOTOS 🫪

I play Roblox so when I wanted to make a rig on a game called my movie (also a rig is like different pieces for the body so I can move in cool ways)so I turned it into a png and I tried to save it but idk how to and all the tutorials are from along time ago. Overall everything is good, except for that saving thing. Please add a save button in the gallery. If you know where it is please tell me. I’d still recommend it just if you don’t want to save it to your photos! The gallery is basically the only place you can save your photos in so yeah but like I said it’s still pretty good! (But I’m on mobile so…) I had another drawing app witch was pretty good and I think that one would be my #1 recommended drawing app because you can make a video of you drawing it and save it to your photos and the video is also kinda satisfying… Anyways it is easy to draw on and you can make little animations (which you can do in this app to) add text and preset drawings you can color! But this one is kinda good (if you’re wondering why I don’t use that one it’s because I got a new iPad 🤣) not trying to advertise it on a different drawing app btw just saying it would be a little better if you can save you drawings to photos.p.s. I found the save to photos thing sorry! Don’t mind that I made a very long review😬😳

  5. 4/5Great sketching app!

Great app! I’ve had this app maybe for a month but I already love it. The features are a lovely mix of creative and technical that I can really appreciate. I also love that you can purchase the extra tools without having to commit to some yearly payment plan. I’ve only found one bug so far that keeps this review from being five stars. When I first started using the app, I noticed that using the hold-touch-eyedropper function, even by accident, would cause the app to effectively crash. I could still access all of my projects, but none of the tools would make any mark whatsoever until I went out of the app, closed it out, and restarted it. After I turned the long-hold-touch shortcut off, the bug didn’t pop up as often, but every once in a while, it still does act like I’ve activated the eyedropper and the app will ‘crash’ again. The bug never happens when I manually go into the color wheel and click the eye dropper button, so I think the bug is linked to the gesture shortcut that I can’t seem to turn off. The bug isn’t a super big deal, but it is a little annoying, especially if you do like to use that shortcut and keep it switched on, and it is irritating to have my work interrupted because I have to restart the app. It would be great if the developers could fix it in the next update. Otherwise, the app is great for drawing and sketching and I would definitely recommend it.

  3. 3/5

it's a good choice if you want something free, but my files constantly corrupt or something, and I can't get into them even after I restored them in my phones picture files. it's also kind of hard to find a good brush. you have to edit already existing ones instead of making your own based on your needs.

    • Updated Color Editor and Color Library - New quick access to complementary color and 9-swatch color history at the top of the Color Editor - On the right side of the Color Editor, a new icon lets you toggle from the Color Wheel panel to the new Color Set panel • Color Sets are a new method of creating and storing palettes of swatches - If you're upgrading from a previous version of Sketchbook, your custom color palette will populate as a new Color Set - You can drag and drop colors from the swatches in the top section of the Color Editor to populate palettes - In the Color Library you can create a new blank set or load one of our presets as a starting point, including a Basic starter set, a Variety collection, and a set of Greys • Other color updates - Custom Gradient for generating 9-swatch blends of 2 selected colors - HEX color values field to allow copying and pasting color across apps - On iPad, pin the Color Editor from the Color Puck to remain open while you draw - Removal of Copic library and markers – these had to be removed as they were licensed to Autodesk and that license did not transfer to us • Removal of iCloud from the Gallery. The connection to iCloud breaks when an app transfers between developers. If you have been saving to iCloud, all your files are still there! There is a dialog explaining what to do to access your files that appears on first launch, and also the first time you go to the Gallery. • New “Save” and “Files” options in the main menu. Because of the iCloud break, it was necessary to create a way for people to bring those files back into Sketchbook. We took this opportunity to expand where and how you can save and export your files. - You can now import and export Sketchbook files to your device, iCloud, and other third-party cloud services • Other data-related changes - The Import from iTunes option has been retired - A close button has been added to the Gallery. When the Gallery is dismissed, the canvas reverts to the last open sketch. • Developer update from Autodesk to Sketchbook, Inc. Updated icon, about box, links to support, and dropping the internal cap in the app name • Sketchbook no longer collects any personal data, so there is no request to opt-in for personal data usage
