5/5IM IN LOVE WITH THIS APP‼️
Skān is an absolute game changer for skincare recs! The platform is super user friendly (& really aesthetic) and all you have to do is sign up with an email, take a clear picture of your face, and the AI technology does the rest for you! It spots the places on your skin that need the most attention, & gives you skincare recommendations for those specific areas. I never really knew what to use for my skin, but now with this app, I got myself a whole new skincare routine!

3/5Good, but flawed and crashes
I love this app as I’m someone that has a hard time finding out what products should work with my skin. I paid for the yearly subscription so I could get a full routine with products tailored to my skin concerns. Now with all that said, it’s a great app but could be better. First the app has been crashing non-stop when just looking at products. Second, I’ve had to manually click on every product as the rating may change after I click the item. Third if you do click on the product and go backwards, it scrolls you all the way to the top. Not to mention, sometimes it links to a completely different product. I also wish I could have a routine made by some of the products I’ve put “on my shelf” in the app, but that’s not the case. Overall it’s good at finding products that will help your skin but that’s about it. You’ll learn about good and bad ingredients but not how to use them correctly. Also the fact that I paid for the app and it crashes non-stop is a huge pain.

4/5Works well but extremely buggy
This app works well. The issue is it is very buggy. The ai coach is very buggy and I feel it needs improvement. The pricing is fair it beats going to the dermatologist. If you don’t like dermatology visits I’d reccomend this app but always seek professionals because in my experience the ai gives wrong information occasionally.

3/5App is fine- just clearly not for people of color (melanated skin)
During the options to select from the initial assessment, it was clear to me that this was for white people (based on the answers to choose from). Then my “assessment” said my biggest problem was redness, and my photo had my whole face covered in red to show the “problem area.” The problem area was my whole face because I am black. So dumb. Waste of time. Also it could not pick up the dark spots on my black skin.

3/5Can’t use without paying for Subscription
So It does address all of your skin issues when you take a picture of your face. For example, it shows you where your pores, redness, acne areas, etc. BUT-, in order for it to recommend actual products for you, you need to pay a subscription, costing 5.99$ per month (In total, nearly 72$ per year). If you want something free, I don’t recommend this app.
