1. 5/5Changed my Daugher’s Life

   In first grade, my daughter started taking 30 min of piano lessons per week as one of her schools’ extracurriculars. By the end of the year, she had beautiful technique, but could only barely play short simple songs ( 3 min) with 16th notes. She just saw her piano teacher for the first time this year (she’s now in 2nd grade), and she was in disbelief how much she has improved. The app has limitations (I think my daughter having a foundation in piano really made this work), but wow has it been a game changer. It took her all year to go through a few pages in her fundamental piano book, she’s now ripped through the first two books in her first 2 weeks back at school. She’s now able to play things by ear, sight read like it’s nothing, etc. I don’t think this app would have been as successful with her not knowing the fundamentals, but wow, so grateful how happy it’s made her.

   I LOVE THIS APP it teaches you sooooo much and thanks to this app I’m going to do piano lessons. I started with a keyboard but I only started because i had a keyboard that just sat out so I thought that it should get some use out of it and I have been seeing the adds for this and I saw the add of that one little girl who learned on that little cat keyboard for kids and I believed that if she started on that I could use a keyboard for it and I played and I.... LOVED IT simpleypiano is just an amazing app and if I did not download it I would not love to play piano and this even makes me think of the time in 2 grade where we learned how to make those things that are like she sells sea shells by the sea shore and we did this thing where whe would get to pull a little ticket that had someone’s name on it and you would get to make one of those for the person who’s name you pulled and it would have there name in it and I have came up with a name for myself with one of those “ P plays piano peacefully.” P is my nick name my friends call me but any way I love this app and I think you should get it if you have a piano that doesn’t get used just like mine and I went from not playing it at all to playing two handed songs I hope you download this app if you have a piano that just sits around it can really change you trust me😆😁😆😄😃😋😛😝 oh just saying that you don’t need to pay I just do the 5 min workout and I learned really good from that thank you for reading bye😋

3. 5/5Rarely review-but this is well worth it

   I have loved learning instruments since I was a kid, starting with drums, to guitar, to bass, and now piano. The thing learning all instruments seem to have in common is the learning curve. It can be truly difficult to find ways to progress without paying for lessons or finding someone to teach you. With this app though that learning curve seemed almost non-existent. I had played piano for fun as a kid, never learning anything beyond heart and soul, and so when I got a keyboard I felt like I was starting at ground zero. I had predetermined that my few month goal would be to play Piano Man, and here I am 3 days later able to play it along with sheet music. I have spent nearly 6 hours these last 3 days familiarizing myself with the courses the app offers and can proudly say I reached my goal very rapidly. The hundred dollar price tag is quite jarring-I myself thought it would not be worth-but after witnessing my progress I can easily say it’s worth purchasing. Furthermore, for those who are unable to afford it can receive a whole free week, no strings attached which is truly impeccable. You get access to the whole app for 7 days and as fast as you are able to progress in that time is as far as you are able to get through the courses. I myself am using this as my cash reserves are a little low following the purchase of my keyboard. I can definitely say I will be buying full access after I get a bit more money saved up again. This is definitely one of the best learning methods you will be able to find anywhere!

4. 5/5I can’t say how much I love this app!

   I took some piano lessons as a kid and played for a few years. But I was never excited nor did I practice much. And, honestly wasn’t very good to at playing the piano. Forward 35 years (in the midst of Covid 19), I had an intense desire to play the piano. And I had the time to learn and practice! I purchased an electric piano online and downloaded Simply Piano. I realized as I went though lessons that I was relearning everything. And they do such a nice job of keeping me engaged. I was enjoying it! So much that I started to look forward to learning new lessons, which opened up more music to practice and etc. As much as I love classical music, learning and practicing modern songs that I quite well has been really fun. I can’t wait to learn the next set. And I can’t wait to get further along in the lessons to play more complex versions. The app isn’t perfect, sometimes I get frustrated when the app dings me for playing the wrong chord or tempo- when I am sure I didn’t. And it takes forever to get through it. But at the same time I guess I am getting practice... With that said, I do miss having real time feedback from a piano teacher and hope to hire one when it’s safe to do so! But bottom line is that even though the app does have an expensive subscription fee, I think it’s absolutely worth every penny. Thanks for helping me find my passion in piano!

5. 4/5Great for beginners but needs improvement

   This app is great for people who are new and willing to play piano, it gives great step by step, reminders and an amazing list of songs. The problem for me, is that I want to skip the basics because I am already in 4 years of piano so I had to go over the basics and waste 10 minutes just to unlock the songs. Also, I know that simply piano adds songs every week but right now I’m on the 7 free day trial thing so I can’t really try out the new songs, but please add an advanced section because everything is not my level, it’s too easy. I understand that this is a paid app because it easily helps beginners form their journey to become a great pianist, but other people have been reviewing bad ratings because it is paid, and they want it free - I kinda agree but it’s also kinda worth it. I don’t want to be harsh but if simply piano doesn’t add harder songs, I’ll probably delete the app so that means this company will make a bit less money because I was actually expecting more and already planning to pay for the app, but I think I might’ve changed my mind. PLEASE TRY TO ADD SONGS MORE OFTEN! Even though I do know that songs take a while to make, just even 1 new song everyday will make a change. If this updates, I will pay and give it a full rating. Please know that I am actually giving out my personal opinion and how you can make it better, and that it’s actual advice if you want to improve the app.

   ABSOLUTELY DIABOLICAL. I was using this app and I passed the beginning really quickly and I was looking forward to playing Sweden (Minecraft) and out of nowhere "PlEaSe SiGn Up To OuR fAmIlY pLaN" WHY 😭

   Actually pretty good and easily understandable. helps people learn the basics fairly easily. I believe it also helps you learn how to keey tempo and rhythm which can be a little challenging for people.
