  1. 5/5Good app

I don’t know how many people need (or want) to switch between podcasts and lifting music but I sure do! This is an awesome app! You can even set your rest timer so you can ensure that you only rest the proper amount of time. I thought that I was the only one who liked podcasts during workouts. I don’t know this developer but he has put together a sweet app for intelligent gym rats!! Well done.

  2. 3/5Really?! It needs improvements

Hi, I just came from Reddit and wanted to check it out. Bad: Remove the quiz intro. Don’t tell the customers whether they’re a good fit or not. You have to realize people come to this app for different reasons. Maybe you did this because you don’t want people to ask or complain about things beyond the basis of this app. Perhaps it’s better to do objective explanation at the beginning Good: Nice design. Easy to use. It has many options to satisfy customers’ needs.

  3. 5/5UX is on point

As a full time web/mobile developer myself I gotta say the UX (user experience, or how the app is laid out and works) and UI are super clean and on point. Very intuitive. Only thing I wish it could do is hook into pocket casts and mark an episode as played, and/or maintain my listening history. But that’s a super nit picky thing to ask for, so I understand.

  4. 5/5Great app!

I always listen to podcast during my work out and have to switch back-and-forth with music when I do cardio for instance. Now I can listen to both and it switches back-and-forth automatically. You can set them on a time you want it’s a switch and it works great.

  5. 5/5Super awesome, actually helpful app

Was gaming and came across this add for Shift. It’s pretty cool. Basically it is a timer but while the timer is running music plays for the workout of choice (strength, running, cardio, maintaining). You set the range, let’s say 3 minutes of intense exercise for every minute of ‘rest’. During the rest periods a podcast will play. It is cool because you set the timer and forget scrolling or fussing with technology and can complete your interval training. It is really that simple.

Compound Timers: With this new feature, you can create consecutive series of work/rest intervals. This is great for adding variation to your interval workouts and keeping things interesting. For example, you can create a timer that alternates between 30 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest, followed by 45 seconds of work and 15 seconds of rest, then 30 seconds of work, 20 seconds of rest etc. As always, the app plays music during work intervals and podcasts during rest intervals. Access this feature by pressing the countdown label on your workout screen, then press the "+" button to add a new template, then choose "compound timer". We've added a short video tutorial in the settings screen as well. Bug fixes: We've addressed several bugs and issues reported by users to make the app more stable and reliable. We hope you enjoy the new compound timers feature in Shift! As always, please don't hesitate to contact us with any feedback or suggestions for future updates.
