   I love how they show all the active busses on a map of your area instead of just having lists of schedules and having to choose a specific line and bus stop to figure out a busses schedule as is done on the official AC transit bus. The map with live depictions of the busses that are active around you helps you figure out the right stop if you don’t know where it is, which is absolutely wonderful! Also,since it shows the live routes that the busses are following directly on the map it makes far more convenient and easy to figure out alternate bus routes that share the same destination. The app is so easy to navigate! They also have a listed interface that shows you the arrival times of all the bus routes around you based upon your current location. No need to specify what line or what stop you want the schedule for, if you share your location with the app it already knows what bus stops are closest to you and will give you the minutes until arrival. Another great feature, if you use AC transit as much as I do, is the favorites feature. This allows you to bookmark your favorite or frequently used bus stops and lines so you don’t even need to be nearby to access what time your bus is due to arrive. How practical is that?! So you can see when your bus is due to arrive from your place of business or the comfort of your home and plan accordingly so you don’t have to wait long since you know when your bus is due to arrive! Can’t believe the AC Transit company doesn’t just have an interface like this!

2. 5/5Been using it for so many years

   I love this app. I’ve been using it for so many years and it is great! The UI might be a bit confusing for people who are new to the East Bay and don’t know which lines go where exactly, but this app helps people figure out how many minutes away the buses are from a particular stop. It features live tracking of the buses which is helpful to measure out when you should leave your home and get to a bus stop. Terrific app and thanks to the creators for keeping it running.

3. 5/5Great app and excellent customer service

   The other morning, I watched in complete disbelief as the 33 bus driver missed my stop and proceeded to drive in the wrong direction. Knowing I’d be late to work again, I wrote a complaint on this app. Once it was submitted, I realized this particular app wasn’t intended for bus service complaints. The next day, I received a very empathetic reply from Daniel Levy, the provider of this app. He explained multiple avenues I might take to register complaints. I’m very appreciative of the time and detail he put into his response. The app itself is easy to understand and use. I especially like the real time arrivals. They are quite accurate and have prevented me from wasting time waiting for a bus that isn’t coming on time. This is an excellent service. Thank you Daniel!

4. 2/5Accurate real time locations but has issues

   For the most part I’ve found the real time bus locations to be pretty accurate, at least more accurate than most other transit apps I’ve used. It’s nice to get a better understanding of how far a bus is to my stop. However, there are some issues that prevent me from using this as my primary app for checking bus schedules/locations. For example, bus locations for the 27 to Emeryville Amtrak for some reason only show the buses going to El Cerrito, not Emeryville. Since I’ve started to use the 27 a lot its been a deal breaker and decided to just stick with the Transit app instead of this one.

5. 5/5Better than the official app

   I didn’t even know there was an official AC Transit app because i’ve been using this one for so long. I tried the official one and it was extremely confusing to navigate and was really buggy. Despite this being unofficial it’s very user friendly and gets the job done a lot better.
