  1. 5/5A Must Have For Your Apple Watch!

This App really is a must have if you are serious about using your Apple Watch for workout tracking and training. It allows you to take control of your hard earned workout data and share it with whatever training software you are most comfortable with (Strava, Garmin, TP, etc.). And the support is outstanding! The few times I have reached out with questions, concerns or requests I have always received prompt and helpful responses; and updates are frequent. I primarily use the App to share my running and biking data with Strava and Garmin. The recent updates to maintain distance and enable exporting of Laps make it fully functional on Strava! I also really like the other functionality it gives you for reviewing your workout data (routes, shoe tracking, charts, matched runs,.....). I find myself looking here 1st to review progress and past activities. Really great App-Many Thanks to the developer!!!

  2. 5/5Consolidate your hard-earned records

This is one of the few apps I’ve purchased that has exceeded my expectations. After 20 years, I recently switched from Polar to Garmin. That’s 20 years of detailed cycling and workout records marooned on a platform I no longer use, right? Wrong. I was looking for a way to export my Polar data and then import it into Garmin. RunGap looked like a tool I could use, and it did in fact convert my data successfully to Garmin. What I was surprised to see is how many sources and destinations RunGap supports. In ditching my Polar, my plan was to use my Apple Watch for everything but cycling. I had resigned myself to having my exercise on two different platforms, but RunGap easily consolidates everything on Garmin for me. But I could consolidate everything on another or even additional platforms. This is a great app and I don’t mind paying the annual fee.

  3. 5/5Best way to OWN your data if you use an Apple Watch

In a nutshell, this app will pull your run data from any number of major platforms and then push it to other platforms in nearly any configuration you want. This big deal here is that it can pull data from or push data to HeakthKit. In other words, this app makes it possible to use the built-in/native Apple Watch Workout app and still own your data either by extracting it in any of the standard formats (GPX, FIT, etc) or directly upload it to other platforms. In my case, I’ve been logging runs on RunKeeper since 2010. The official RunKeeper Apple Watch app, however, omits cadence and elevation data, even when using a Series 4 Apple Watch. This puts me in a position where I prefer the native Workout app but still want my data on RunKeeper. In other cases, I prefer to use my first-gen Tomtom Runner with a BT HR chest strap for logging serious runs. It’s just way more accurate that my Series 4 (better GPS sampling) and has infinitely better battery life. However, I also want the Apple Watch Move and Exercise credit for those runs without wearing an Apple Watch since I’ve already got the Tomtom on. RunGap will take my data from Tomtom and push it to HealthKit, which then shows up on my Apple Watch. RunGap is perfect 👌

  4. 5/5The best! Fixes all the sync challenges!

I am not some super athlete but just a guy that likes to track my movement and exercise. I want to have data to spot trends and for who knows what in the future. The software of many devices frequently support synching with one another, or even with Apple Health. I use three devices and/or systems - Polar Flow, Concept 2 and Apple Health. Some of those support syncing to one, but not the others. Some support syncing but it’s frequently unreliable and just stops working. Run Gap to the rescue - I know have all the sync capabilities in those three system disabled and I use Run Gap as the orchestrator - pulling data from all three and synching it around to the others. It supports so many more systems that I don’t use too. This app is wonderful.

  5. 5/5Only app to crack Nike+

I recently downloaded Strava, my only hesitation in using it was loosing all my years of running with Nike+. After lots of googling I found this app to be the only one that could transfer all my data from Nike to Strava. Despite the warning when adding my Nike account to the app and the inconsistencies found with the article author for which I found it, all of my Nike data transferred over within a few minutes and was completely accurate, maps, times and all! I will continue using both Nike and Strava for each run till at least the end of the month or maybe my race in December but I see myself in the future transitioning to Strava only (especially now that I’ve learned how Nike locks down their data unlike other run apps).
