1. 5/5Love this app and classes and the Watch App with some tweaks

   I have been a member for about a year and a half, I truly love everything about the RowHouse and the app is awesome. Last night I updated and got the app on my Apple Watch. It’s a great addition. It does need a bit of fine tuning. I was on my erg and about a minute left prior to the start of a 45 Stroke class, I realized I had not checked in, so I figured I would use the watch app. My classes were listed in a stack, so selected the class I was in, but instead of getting the option to check-in, it started the class timer. Since the class had not started yet, I swiped left and the options to either pause, or end. In retrospect I should have paused the class, but I tapped on end, and poof, the class was gone off my list. No warning message ever popped up. So I was never checked-in and my meters never showed in my phone app after class. I had to ask the front desk to check me in after class and then the meters showed up. The app should know the class is 45 minutes, so after just one minute it should not clear the class off the list. It would be great to be able to check-in with the watch and also have a warning message. The class should only end based on the designated time. Add another option to cancel the class, and perhaps a reset button would be nice too. These should be easy fixes. I’ll try it again for my next class to see the heart rate min and max. Thank you for the first attempt. I’m sure it will get better and better from this point.

2. 5/5Rowing Into Shape

   This gym and it’s Rowing format has been one of the best gifts that I’ve given myself. It’s fun, competitive and nurturing to all. The setup makes you want to keep pace with others; the visual numbers constantly informative. You just have to try harder. Quitting is not an option! I rest when I need and can pick up the pace again. Staff, managers and the owner have been more than enthusiastic, helpful, work with me at my current level and just make exercising FUN!

3. 4/5Nearly Perfect

   Have so many good things to say about this app: great activity history and performance metrics, very few bugs, and overall very easy to use. My only gripe (and preventing me from giving a 5-star rating) is booking from “Schedule” view. If I select a day that has no classes, I’m offered the ability to “book class.” When I do this, I expect to be taken to the classes scheduled for the DAY I SELECTED from Schedule. Instead, I am always taken to the current day, leaving me to manually go back to the day I previously was viewing in schedule. Super frustrating. A request to the dev team: make the transition between classes and schedule a bit more intuitive, knowing users use these features together. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would love it!

4. 1/5Misleading rip off

   The instructor is a great motivator but they told me if I cancelled a class 4 hours before scheduled class it wouldn’t cost me the class. I called about 7 hours and 40 mins before the scheduled class and was told that it was an 8 hour limit not 4 and would have to pay an extra $10 for canceling late. I have already paid for classes up front. Now, they’re taking a class I’ve already paid for, and charging an extra $10 for canceling. I’ve never heard of such a thing. What a rip off. They act real nice and kind to get your money, mislead you, and then try to take more money after you’ve already paid. Great program for physical fitness but for financial fitness, lock up your wallet or purse . . . What a rip off.

5. 2/5Not thrilled

   Was pretty amazed at the factor it was off from a C2 rower computer. Interestingly there are no calibration functions built into the app so all meters are computed by weight and power I guess. So that’s leaves the door wide open for people to weight dope. Besides that, the graphics on AppleTV are very poor. The AppleTV interface with the touchpad are awful. This should be changed to using the up/down/left/right to select things. Was hoping for a Zwift type experience but guess it isn’t needed since my eyes are closed a significant amount of the time anyways. Didn’t see a single other rower will doing 10k meters, rowing after an apocalypse I guess.
