1. 5/5Great Potential-rockhounders best friend

   Needs more rocks in database that it can identify. There are some obscure ones but it seems to always choose the same ones. Also, I have put in probably 300 name suggestions to add, going through those more and adding more would be very appreciated. It is great for cataloging. Oh, and when I search my catalog, can you make it to where it searches all the words, the description, locale, everything. It shouldn’t be that hard to adjust. Especially when the name isn’t in system and I have to save it under something else, I put the right name in description and want to be able to find it again. Or search by locale or other things. I am probably the user who uses your app the most if you can look and see. I use it daily. So these improvements would make my life so much better! Thank you! Edit: the new update has a lot of great stuff I'm only starting to get to know. However, it is now missing on e of my favorite features. The top three possibility options to look through. It is often one of the others and if it isn't, I always still look to see what it shows and am able to learn about different habits and colors and things I may not have been aware of. When I search now, the top result is all that shows. I see that if I click to change result, it will give the names of the other two but not that I can browse through before selecting and changing the result.    The latest update has it now showing just one option of what rock it is when you take a picture… it used to show you a handful of possible options, and then you could determine which one seemed to fit best. A one-rock ID is ridiculous, because half of the time if you take a picture at a slightly different angle or lighting, the result will change- so this is nowhere near accurate, now. They are basically just guessing what it might possibly be, instead of what it likely is. Also you used to get unlimited rock IDs, by just bypassing the money-grab subscription screen- now you get 3 a day. I very much get needing to make money, but I will NEVER buy a subscription and a good number of app users are also not interested in ever buying a subscription, for something that over time does not offer any meaningful change in content- it is simply access to the same content, month after month. This is not a magazine subscription for goodness sake, it is a database for collected rocks. If you actually had a decent option like a reasonable one-time lifetime purchase, I would have bought this years ago. Instead there is only an overpriced annual subscription to do things that I can do on my own with google images, mindat, and the notes app. Make it competitive to that and perhaps you will have more customers. But this is currently very unworthy of its price tag.

   I HATE HOW THIS APP ONLY LETS YOU TAKE TWO PHOTOS A DAY! ITS ABSOLUTELY UNNECESSARY BECAUSE YOU COULD STILL HAVE A PRESCRIPTION AND ALSO LET PEOPLE BE HAPPY AND ACTUALLY ENJOY YOUR APP. I WISH I COULD RATE THIS A 0 STARS BUT I CANT YOU SHOULD MAKE THE PHOTOS FREE AND TAKE IT OF THE PRESCRIPTION. IF YOU DO YOU SHOULD GIVE PEOPLE THE PERCENTAGE OF THE PRICE THAT WAS IN THE PRESCRIPTION. I’m sorry for this being all caps but I just wanna let people know before getting the app. It also costs money to find the price of the rock. It only lets you know the price if it’s a tumbled rock. I have a tumbler but I don’t wanna use it. Also people might not have a tumbler so that’s another thing. I hope you can actually read this and start responding to other reviews. (Yes, I pay attention) and don’t tell people, “oh, the prescription is so we can keep the app running longer.” NO! That’s not what we wanna hear. If you fix these things I’ll tell people about your app. If not I won’t, I’ll tell them how unnecessary it is. I know I sound mean but I want to make it clear on how I feel. I hope you actually work on making your app better and not make it some dumpster fire trash. I will be looking forward to these updates. I want people to be happy with the app as much as you do. I hope you pay attention to this review because this is very important. A lot of people have complained about these problems. Thank you for reading this if you have. I took a 30 minutes of my time making this review so I hope you see it.

   I’ve been a rock collector for so long and have been looking for a good app that I can trust. And this app is really accurate!. Before I got this app I used to ask my dad which rocks they were and he’d help me the best he could, But I was always thinking is this actually that rock,How rare is it?,would someone buy it and I could make money? I’m so happy I found this app it answers all my thoughts and questions. And I may only be 15 years old but I am planning on searching for more rare rocks and crystals!. But before it showed me to add to my favorites and now I can’t. And I don’t know if it will stay that way and if it’s the apps fault or if it’s because of my phone but if you know if it’s the app please fix it and maybe add some more books we can buy to help with rocks and crystals. I’ve been thinking about buying some and it might be more helpful for your downloaders to search more and it could also be more helpful for you guys too, You see if there’s more options and books with more and different information about rocks and crystals then more people would probably buy them. Just think about it. Also sorry for this being so long. (Just trying to help.) Have a good day.

   Hello Picture Rock! I’m Brayden a rock collector and I love science! Anyways, my favorite mineral type in geology is Calcedony. Which means my favorite mineral is Quartz. I love the chalcedony varieties! I know one of them is Sardonyx, so I searched in the search bar on your homepage and found Carnelian instead of Sard or Sardonyx, after that I got a bit confused with my urge to study and collect quartz. So I did researched about why it said that the red Carnelian was the same rock as Sardonyx. I found a page that talked about Sardonyx and Carnelian… It said that Sardonyx is made of the same compositions as Sard and Onyx which is why it’s called “Sard-onyx” its like both Sard and Onyx combined even though it’s its own variety. It also said that Sard is often confused with Carnelian, and Onyx is confused with Aragonite (not quartz). So it said that they confuse Sard with Carnelian, so that must mean that they confuse Sardonyx with Carnelian too because Sardonyx has the composition of Sard in it. So please separate Sardonyx from Carnelian. So make a Page about Sard and Sardonyx so they can add them to people’s collections! Have a nice time! Happy Geology!!!
