  1. 2/5Good but lacks features

I like the app and that it tracks the hours and conditions that my child drives in (although I usually have to edit the weather and road type because it gets it wrong 90 percent of the time) during her permit period. Takes a lot less time than trying to jot it down. My issue is, why doesn’t it actually track and show a map of where she has driven when reviewing the drives? Speed? Altitude? Etc? All these things are very easily added to an app such as this. It would be great to go back and review the route so that if for example two different parents are teaching, We can each see where the other has taken her and try new roads without having to ask. I can also see how many miles she has on each type of road on a long drive. It would be nice since you can only pick one type of road in the app. That doesn’t help much when the child goes from backroads to a highway and back. By tracking speed, I can give her pointers on staying consistent with her speed such as going up hill or merging onto a highway, etc. All great tools that can be incorporated into the app. Visual references are a valuable tool in teaching.

  2. 1/5Worst app on the whole store

The one thing the programmers of this app ever succeeded at in life was making the least reliable program for logging driving hours. After the latest update, trying to log my past drives became an unnecessarily complicated process. You now have to manually enter a start and end time from a drop down menu that goes in 15-minute intervals starting from 1 am. Truly something only a sadist could ever come up with. But if you thought that was the only issue, then bless your heart. In order to waste your time even more, you now have to enter the distance you drove, which was not a requirement in the previous app. And to top it all off, this app now requires your location in order to log drives, even for past drives (otherwise you’ll be stuck on a loading screen for hours). Additionally, transferring accounts from the previous version of the app to the current one is such a chore… if you are a teen then your parent account has to invite you to the app via an email the app sends out. It took me a good 10 minutes of waiting and resending the invite before I realized that all the emails were arriving in the junk folder (where this app belongs). Until that teen account is linked, the app is literally useless because it doesn’t show your hours at all. This is the first time I’ve ever seen an app require two phones to have it installed in order for the program to actually work, and I do have to say that it is an extremely stupid concept.

  3. 4/5Good, but I liked the older version!

I am a student driver currently and I definitely preferred the older version of this app. The new motion sensing feature is cool in theory, but even picking up the phone to end my drive hurts my score and says that I should put down my phone while driving. Even when I make a point of setting it somewhere where I can end it without moving my phone, it still gives me the message. Although this doesn’t really affect me in the grand scheme of things, it’s a little annoying to see that when I would never even think of using my phone while driving. Another issue that’s happening is that the app keeps signing me out, even when I told it to use Face ID and clicked the ‘remember me’ button. It’s not every time I use it, but it makes it really difficult to log my drive when in a rush. I know these are both bugs and not really how the app works. The new features are actually really great and make it easier to see the break down of what my logged hours look like, while also making the app more streamlined and professional. These are just some nit-picks that I thought I should bring to light. Thank you to Road Ready from saving me and my family from having to use paper logs!!

  4. 1/5Fire the Developers. Update more buggy than a mosquito convention

When I downloaded this app two years ago when my daughter was taking drivers Ed, it worked just fine. Simple, no issues. Now my son it’s taking driver’s ed and up until two weeks ago, the app worked fine. Then there was an update and the app ceased being able to log a drive, producing an error message when I tried to do so. Then I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Even worse problems. It wouldn’t let me log in. Then it said I was logged in, only to take me right back to the login screen. I logged a complaint thinking that surely the devs would correct the problem with an imminent update. Nope. Still has issues logging in. I had to make an “instructor account” and add my teenagers to the account via invitation. Then my son could login but I couldn’t. But not for long. Two days later, HE couldn’t login either. Then I was able to login briefly this afternoon, but now when I tried to login again, we are back to the “yes you successfully logged in, and we’ll just take you right back to the login page instead of actually opening the app. This app is terrible, no longer works, and now I need a way to pull all of my son’s data out of the app and use something else to track his hours. The negative reviews are real. Don’t you dare use this app. Instead find a solution that actually works.

  5. 3/5Not a good update

The app has always been basic, but it recorded the important data and was easy to record current driving and also log previous driving time. However, with the latest update (June 2026), it logged us out and would not let me log back in. I deleted the app and started over, thinking it had lost all 41 hours of my daughter’s recorded driving. I had at least taken a screenshot of the dashboard screen when it wouldn’t record a new drive. Well, I just took a two week break from the app and this time it successfully sent me a temporary password and I got back in where the 41 hours were still there. Wonderful! Such a huge relief, and why this review has 3 stars instead of 2. Yet, now the app has completely changed and when logging previous drives it has to be done in 15 minute increments! I could see maybe 5 minute increments, but 15 is not at all precise enough when most of my daughter’s driving is 10 or 20 minute long drives. It seems like a simple enough thing to adjust. The previous version let us choose one minute increments.
