   This app is extremely good for tornado history. I have two very important suggestions though. This is probably planned but update it beyond march. Also, when looking at the live warning replays, please add tornado emergencies to the replay. They look the same as warnings on this app so I have to use a separate Wikipedia page to find emergencies.

   btw im the son of the creator of this app and it’s pretty good but the only downsides are that the F scale windspeed things are the same as the EF scale so that needs to be changed and also the tornado tracks are just straight lines and not all curvy like the actual tornado tracks so once the developer of the app/my dad finds out how to add that he’ll add it

5. 3/5Your missing some ef5s..

   I have searched up the hackleburg ef5 and the greensburg, and Parkersburg and there are no ef5 tornadoes in those areas. Please the owner of this app take advantage of this and change it.

It factors in active NWS warnings, SPC outlook data, and GFS atmospheric model ingredients including CAPE, wind shear, and storm energy. Tap the card for a full breakdown of every ingredient driving the score. LIVE NWS SEVERE WEATHER ALERTS Active National Weather Service alerts for your exact location now appear directly on the home screen, color-coded by severity from standard watches all the way up to Particularly Dangerous Situation tornado warnings. SPC STORM PREDICTION CENTER OUTLOOKS The full NOAA SPC convective outlook is now built into the app. View Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 maps with tornado, wind, and hail probability layers. See your exact location risk and read the forecaster discussion. NOAA DAMAGE PATH POLYGONS Tornado detail maps now show real surveyed damage footprints from NOAA's Damage Assessment Toolkit for thousands of events, with each segment colored by its recorded EF intensity.   Version 1.4.1 The Tornado Potential score is significantly more accurate in this update. The scoring engine now checks real-time storm spotter reports. If a tornado, funnel cloud, or wall cloud has been reported near your location in the last few hours, the score reflects that and a chip shows you exactly what was reported, how far away, and how long ago. Rotation scoring has been upgraded. The app now reads pressure-level wind data from the GFS model to calculate Storm Relative Helicity, the same metric professional meteorologists use to assess tornado rotation potential. Previous versions used a rough approximation. The Significant Tornado Parameter (STP) has been added. Rather than scoring each ingredient in isolation, STP checks whether all the key tornado ingredients are aligned at the same time. A strong STP means the atmosphere is truly loaded. A near-zero STP tells you the pieces are not coming together even if one or two individual values look elevated. The score now adjusts for time of day. Tornado development peaks in the late afternoon and early evening. A Peak Window chip appears when you are in that window and contributes a point to the score. Several bugs were also fixed. The rotation chip was frequently missing in previous builds due to a data decoding issue. It now appears reliably across all US locations. Switching locations no longer briefly shows the previous city's score while new data loads.

  Apple Watch App RexWeather is now on your wrist. The companion watchOS app shows current conditions, tornado potential score, and SPC outlook — fetching data independently without needing your iPhone. A Tornado Potential complication is available for all major watch face families. Home Screen & Lock Screen Widgets Two new widgets bring real-time data to your home screen: Tornado Potential (score, band label, fill bar) and SPC Day 1 Outlook (categorical risk for your location). Both update automatically — no need to open the app. Tornado Legacy — Redesigned Tornado Legacy now opens full-screen directly from the home screen. Browse activity by decade with proportional bars colored by EF rating, then tap any decade to jump into Explorer pre-filtered to that time range. Tornado Explorer — Smarter Date Picker Date pickers now cap at the latest available NOAA data and display "Historical data available through [Month Year]" so you always know the coverage window. Selecting an invalid date range now auto-corrects instead of returning empty results. 2025 Tornado Database The SPC historical dataset has been updated to include 2025. Existing users are migrated automatically. Performance The full tornado dataset is now cached in memory after the first load, and filtering runs on a background thread. Map panning in Explorer is dramatically smoother. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where tornadoes from large outbreaks were incorrectly merged into a single event at nationwide zoom. Fixed long-track tornadoes that passed through your search area but started outside it being excluded from results.
