5/528 year sales veteran is in love with over Ramp
i've been in the sales industry for 28 years and remember when we used to actually "cut" a check for ourselves to reimburse us for our expenses with multi colored carbon copies. When it comes to reimbursement solutions, you name it and I've used it. They've been either OK or horrible. When my newest job said they'd be using Ramp as a reimbursement application I thought "Oh no, here we go again, another new tool with lots of weaknesses that I'll have to learn. I could not have been more wrong! This tool harnesses the power of AI and your phone's camera to make reimbursement "easy peezy!" I can't tell you how little time I now spend on monthly reimbursements. It's a godsend! I'll never want to go back to any other system! Thanks, Ramp. You're the best!

2/5Latency is a huge QOL issue, easy enough to fix
Transitioning from Expensify to Ramp and it’s been a tough move. I was not a decision maker on this move. Change can be hard so I’ve given this some weeks to see if it was just the initial transition pains. It is not. While the auto-reading of receipts is an improvement (justification for second star), this was not really a pain point for me as a user of Expensify, and there are some very basic QOL issues with this app that should be very obvious with any basic-level testing. For starters, the most irritating thing is the latency around opening the “drop down” menus. Takes forever for them to populate and I have to tap on them several times to get the list to populate. Every single time without exception. This is a real pain and a real slow down. These should also not have to be manually populated for every expense. After I’ve entered the same value for 50+ expenses, I’m still having to do it every single time. No offer to begin autofilling these spaces and I don’t see any setting to do so either. Also no iPad app? Just the iPhone app, not even upscaled or fitted to the larger screen. Any tech company should be very wary of these red flags, which to me indicate the potential for much more serious corners cut on the back end as well.

1/5Worst customer service and onboarding experience ever
As a small business owner with multiple entities, I'm always evaluating new ways to bank and manage our money. When I heard about Ramp, I eagerly signed up to see how it compared to our existing financial products. It turned out to be the worst financial experience I've had in over 25 years of banking. After about a day of signing up and linking various external accounts and initiating transfers, they locked my account with no explanation. 3 days after locking my account, no one in their customer service team knew how to unlock it, and they kept sending me around in circles. I had multiple ACH transfers in progress, and it all got stuck. If you decide to give this company's products a try, please be extremely wary about their processes and horrible customer service. If your money or account get stuck, there's almost no one who will be able to assist. Think twice before moving even $1 from your existing banking set up to Ramp. They just aren't ready for prime time, and have no idea how to meet even the basic expectations of a business that is supposed to replace or complement your bank.

5/5Why Didn’t I Do This Sooner?!??
Personally as an enthusiast of wasting my time I really appreciated when it took me 1 hour and having to redo the same thing 5 times over in order to make a single reimbursement. Why would I go through the pesky 2 minute process of drafting an email and sending it when I can take up an entire hour of my life that I will never get back to accomplish the same thing. 10/10 would waste 58 of minutes of my morning again.

1/5Takes 8 tries to match a receipt to a transaction, still won’t do it right.
New ramp user and it sent me in infinite circles trying to get receipt matching. It told me to fix it 7 different ways none of which worked, and each time it was insistent that solution would work. Then, when it didn’t work, app would admit the solution it offered wasn’t real. Constantly gave internally inconsistent instructions like: Calculating the total as only the base amount, then telling me the amount of the tip from the receipt, then telling me I needed to upload a receipt that showed the tip. Then it told me that for uber one receipt can be attached to 2 different charges, while saying in the same sentence that a receipt may only be associated with one transaction. I’m 8 tries in and it still keeps spinning in circles.

When it comes to reimbursement solutions, you name it and I've used it. They've been either OK or horrible. When my newest job said they'd be using Ramp as a reimbursement application I thought \"Oh no, here we go again, another new tool with lots of weaknesses that I'll have to learn. I could not have been more wrong! This tool harnesses the power of AI and your phone's camera to make reimbursement \"easy peezy!\" I can't tell you how little time I now spend on monthly reimbursements. It's a godsend! I'll never want to go back to any other system! Thanks, Ramp. You're the best!",

          "body": "Transitioning from Expensify to Ramp and it’s been a tough move. I was not a decision maker on this move. Change can be hard so I’ve given this some weeks to see if it was just the initial transition pains. It is not. While the auto-reading of receipts is an improvement (justification for second star), this was not really a pain point for me as a user of Expensify, and there are some very basic QOL issues with this app that should be very obvious with any basic-level testing. For starters, the most irritating thing is the latency around opening the “drop down” menus. Takes forever for them to populate and I have to tap on them several times to get the list to populate. Every single time without exception. This is a real pain and a real slow down. These should also not have to be manually populated for every expense. After I’ve entered the same value for 50+ expenses, I’m still having to do it every single time. No offer to begin autofilling these spaces and I don’t see any setting to do so either. Also no iPad app? Just the iPhone app, not even upscaled or fitted to the larger screen. Any tech company should be very wary of these red flags, which to me indicate the potential for much more serious corners cut on the back end as well.",

          "title": "Worst customer service and onboarding experience ever",
          "body": "As a small business owner with multiple entities, I'm always evaluating new ways to bank and manage our money. When I heard about Ramp, I eagerly signed up to see how it compared to our existing financial products. It turned out to be the worst financial experience I've had in over 25 years of banking. After about a day of signing up and linking various external accounts and initiating transfers, they locked my account with no explanation. 3 days after locking my account, no one in their customer service team knew how to unlock it, and they kept sending me around in circles. I had multiple ACH transfers in progress, and it all got stuck. If you decide to give this company's products a try, please be extremely wary about their processes and horrible customer service. If your money or account get stuck, there's almost no one who will be able to assist. Think twice before moving even $1 from your existing banking set up to Ramp. They just aren't ready for prime time, and have no idea how to meet even the basic expectations of a business that is supposed to replace or complement your bank.",

          "title": "Takes 8 tries to match a receipt to a transaction, still won’t do it right.",
          "body": "New ramp user and it sent me in infinite circles trying to get receipt matching. It told me to fix it 7 different ways none of which worked, and each time it was insistent that solution would work. Then, when it didn’t work, app would admit the solution it offered wasn’t real. Constantly gave internally inconsistent instructions like: Calculating the total as only the base amount, then telling me the amount of the tip from the receipt, then telling me I needed to upload a receipt that showed the tip. Then it told me that for uber one receipt can be attached to 2 different charges, while saying in the same sentence that a receipt may only be associated with one transaction. I’m 8 tries in and it still keeps spinning in circles.",
