1. 1/5Clunky and Schedule Service Terrible UX/UI

   When it works, it’s OK, and that just is the basic stuff as far as unlocking, your car or the remote start feature but beyond that the app is terrible as far as it’s user experience and integrations. For example, when you try to schedule service you get multiple error messages it doesn’t tell you why it doesn’t tell you what needs to be corrected it just times out and you cannot move forward. When scheduling services at dealers it’ll just tell you after you’ve spent minutes frustratingly trying to fill out their service request form that only allows you to see the first two lines and continues to move around to only find out that after all those efforts of typing and trying to inform while trying to schedule a service that those services are not available at that location and it does not give you an option to switch locations so you have to go change your main dealer and then start the process all over again just to be told there’s a system error and it won’t work Super frustrating. Hate this app. You might as well just call the dealership. All it is is basically a key fob for your phone

2. 2/5Pretty lame

   If you look at all the recent reviews for this app, I can’t understand how on earth it has as high of a rating as it does in the App Store. I have a 2015 RAM 1500, and everything worked pretty well when the app was Uconnect, but a year or two ago they made us all convert to this RAM-branded app, and it all went downhill from there. Like many others report here, my vehicle constantly shows it is in a different location than where it really is. Right now, the app says my vehicle is in a grocery store parking lot about 4 miles from my house. It has not updated the location since January 13, and today is January 17, and the vehicle is actually at my house. And don’t even bother paying attention to things like your fuel level. It will be old news too. I don’t understand how they could’ve taken something that was working so well and broke it so much. I really like my truck, but the app is turned into a waste of money. I’m going to disable automatic renewal of this app and throw in the towel. I’m only giving rating two stars because the app used to work years ago, and occasionally now the new app will lock or unlock my doors when I ask it to if the stars and moon are perfectly aligned.

3. 3/5Incapable app fails to unlock after remote start

   For some reason the ram connect customer support reps can’t help me figure out how to get in touch with the developer. The ram app is slow to respond at times, I sent a request to start my truck after it had been parked at the airport for a week, about 30 minutes before I was shuttled to the truck in the parking lot. The command to start the truck failed, I was stranded at the airport for another 30 minutes while trying to at least unlock my doors, which failed. I went through all the troubleshooting steps, closed down the app / restart my phone / delete the app and re download it, all the commands failed leaving me stranded. I think the issue is related to leaving my keys in the truck, the modules don’t respond especially if you leave the truck parked for a few days without using the app to wake them up. My biggest complaint is not being able to unlock my trucks doors after being able to remotely start it through the app. This “feature” defeats the whole purpose of having the ability to remotely start your vehicle. It’s especially annoying when you have to remotely start it, and then remotely shut it down to unlock the doors, but the inability or responsiveness isn’t there and the app fails to shut down the truck to unlock the doors! I really hope this review reaches someone in the Ram development department that can get the sense of how features are supposed to be utilized and make a change..

4. 2/5Missing Digital key and questionable app value.

   I purchased the 2026 RAM 1500 Tungsten with the expectation that it would include Digital Key, a feature that was clearly advertised as part of the vehicle’s premium technology package. Unfortunately, the RAM app does not support Digital Key at this time, and the feature is missing entirely. After contacting the manufacturer, I was told that Digital Key is “coming soon” in a future update, but no specific date was provided. It’s disappointing to buy a top-tier Tungsten model and discover that a major advertised feature isn’t actually available yet. On top of that, the RAM app costs $17 per month, but without Digital Key, the only functions it really offers are remote lock, unlock, and remote start—all of which I can already do with the key fob. It’s hard to justify paying a monthly subscription for features that add almost no real value compared to what the truck already provides. The truck itself is outstanding, but the lack of Digital Key and the unclear rollout timeline take away from the premium experience I was expecting. RAM should communicate more transparently and avoid advertising features that aren’t ready at launch. they should offer more meaningful functionality for a paid app.

5. 3/5Functional…..sort of

   I had a Subaru before buying my truck. The Ram app is subpar compared to the mySubaru app. The good parts: the app works most of the time with very few issues. It has the features for remote start and lock/unlock that reliably work. Where it lacks: the user interface of this app is clunky. The interface of the mySubaru app is cleaner and more user friendly. I liked being able to save different climate control settings to customize how I wanted it based on my environment. There were auto settings for full heat and full cool as well. I could use FaceID to log into the app and to perform the functions. All of the functions were on the main screen and didn’t require me to tap to different screens to streamline the process. The start/stop button was the prominent button on the screen with the other control options placed below in smaller but usable blocks. A good overhaul of the design of the app and the ability to customize specific climate settings would let me give this app 5 stars.
