  1. 5/5Noticed an issue, devs are very responsive!

First of all, I want to say how easy this app is to use. It’s clean, well organized, and intuitive. I wish there was a more obvious way to see the calendar view, but otherwise it’s wonderful. I noticed rain tracking that seemed to be off a bit day to day and reached out using the built in support chat (amazing and well built also!) where I got a response that they are currently aggregating 0800 each day but are shifting to midnight to improve “daily” totals. Great news for usability and will help our kiddos weather tracking project for accuracy. Thank you RainDrop team. Keep up the amazing work.

  2. 2/5Updates are not often enough

I downloaded this app to try it out and it works without even subscribing to it. I decided to try the “three day free trial” thinking it would unlock everything within the app for just three days, but it doesn’t do that. After using the free trial and trying to look at a 48 hour rainfall target it says I need to pay for the app to see anything further out than a regular 24 hours and in 24 hours time the app does not update the rainfall amounts it has since rained over 5 inches in my location and the app still says What it did yesterday. So this app might be a paperweight they offer a free subscription, but don’t allow you to utilize any of the features without paying for it, which is kind of dumb if you have a free trial. At the end of the free trial you will be charged $4.14 per month to use the app which doesn’t make sense if you pay for the monthly subscription on the app and it only charged you $2.14. You would think after taking a three day free trial you would offer the two dollar price versus the four dollar price. The sub subscription makes no sense. If the app was updated more frequently, it would be worth it, but since it doesn’t, you’re better off relying on other weather sources to get more accurate information

  3. 5/5Best Rain App Hands Down!

It’s always a struggle to find apps that do what you want, let alone updated and maintained. Look no further than right here. Raindrop is legit. It gives you all the information on rainfall you need and accurately. I started very skeptical with the free version, thinking I’d be deleting it soon. I was wrong! I’m a proud paying customer supporting the excellent team behind this app. Updates are frequent and always improving functionality. So many changes in the last few months. All for the better. Great job! Download this app now!!

  4. 1/5Required to rate App, upon 1st open of App, prior to 1st use of App. ¿ Rate before using?

Upon my 1st opening of the App, I had to review it or I couldn’t proceed to use the App for the first time! What else could I rate it but a “one star”, since “zero star” doesn’t seem to be an option. That’s not a bug; that’s a non-starter, a brazen unethical way to get ratings—or a someone in marketing or management over-riding good coders. I don’t trust you, developer of this App. I was very impressed with the feature write-up on the App store. It looks like a thoughtful design. I especially hope the view of rain over the month applies to past months for rain history. I even would be willing to pay a premium for the paid features, as those features look desirable. I will try the App and submit a review, after using it for several rain falls, which in Phoenix could be several months. But then again, I’ll see if developer is willing to fix this ‘prior-to-first use’, rude and illogical requirement, to rate upon opening and with no experience in the App. I just looked at the App Store, and there is an upgrade. I dearly hope it contains a fix for this problem. I did download this ‘Rain Drop’ App, some time ago, along with another App that I have been using with success, hence App I opened is pre-upgrade of free App. I have my fingers crossed for users sake, and for the developer’s sake. I have many years experience in graphic designer and do consultation on App design and interface, so I root for developers to have well designed Apps; and I appreciate good design and function of Apps. I hope this issue is already addressed. If not, I would enjoy a response from the developer.

  5. 5/5Great app

I’ve been using this app for about 4 years now. I’ve been amazed at the accuracy of this thing. Occasionally it’ll be off a little, but if you’re like me, you’ve seen it raining on your neighbors pasture and you’re not getting a drop, or vice versa. If you have work going on in multiple locations, you can have a rain gauge in each location so you’ll know whether to send a crew to work or not. I highly recommend this app to anyone that has scattered farmland, pastures, construction sites, or, just nosy like me.
