5/5No decimal option?
Matt, I love having this app and am so grateful for all your work in making it available to everyone. I consult it several times a day, sometimes several times an hour because our weather here in the Midwest is so changeable. I consult at least five PWSs in our area because weather even 10 miles away can be so different and can forewarn us of what's coming at us. I just downloaded the latest update and couldn't figure out why I now have decimal points. Kept looking in settings for an option to not use them but not finding one. Finally I went to Version History on app store page and saw that this was a W-Ground data change that some users were glad to have back. Would it be possible to have an on/off decimal option? Not having decimals makes it much cleaner and is easier to quickly interpret the data at a glance. Decimals just get in the way when I only want to make a quick station-to-station comparison. Without meaning to sound harsh, having decimals seems to be an exercise in absurdity (which I do often find humorous) since, for example, I'm fairly sure no one can tell the difference between 28.8 degrees F and 29. Nor between a 1.1 mph wind gust and a 1 mph. (These are both current local readings.) I realize that you get this data "as is" but just wondered whether this option would be possible since there are user-specified options for units, etc. BTW, when I tried to access the Info page in the app, pressing the "i" now makes the app crash. Thanks again for all your hard work and generosity.

5/5Finally let me change station name... thank you
It’s great and I can get to my station data from anywhere. An old neighborhood name that was assigned by Weather Underground has never made any sense, it’s miles away, an old name which has never been associated with my historic location; my home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been here for 100 years, so I have no idea how some other place miles away got assigned to it in the first place by WU. It will forever drive me insane until it gets removed; it would be great in a future PWS update if I could just choose to not show it. PWS Monitor did provide a recent update which allowed me to change the main “nickname” at the top of my station. Thank you PWS for letting me know it was Weather Underground who assigned the incorrect name!

5/5Great app
I built a weather station from scratch using a cm5 and various sensor boards. I needed a way to get my station to be visible where ever. Weather underground made sense but the app interface was un desirable and I didn’t want to dev my own app and all that comes with an app dev account. I found this app, and honestly it’s been perfect. When I saw the dev made improvements I wanted to support. This app is great, and does exactly what I need without having to do backend or web server work and maintenance. I’m grateful to have it and happy to pay to share my gratitude. Also the app design and layout is so optimized.

4/5What is there is 5-star quality
I needed an easy way to be able to check the graphs from a PWS station, or two. Well, this is it. Very clean-cut interface, easy to read and attractive. It is 5-star quality. Why am I only giving 4 stars? The big thing that is missing is a way to view the charts from other days, by tapping an arrow or entering a date. When Matt adds that, 5 stars all the way! There was also a suggestion to show the current data from any site by long-tapping it without making it a Favorite. That is a great suggestion! Just a pop up of the current data would be perfect. For charts, it should be a favorite. But it’s really awesome to be able to select a pin and see the current data instantly.

5/5EXCELLENT App for Hyper-Local Weather.
The July 2026 update lets you configure the display on your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch to show exactly what Weather Underground data you want from any station(s). The Watch complication is a work of genius. The $10 annual fee for widgets and removing ads is very reasonable; bandwidth isn’t free. No Weather Underground subscription is required. I use the app to show data from my personal weather station on my watch, but I could as easily rely on one of the other Weather Underground stations nearby. Highly recommended!

3.0
The long-delayed complete re-write is finally here! (I hope I didn't break everything) New things: Native support for all the different device screen sizes. Map-based station selection (no more broken, clunky list!). Landscape support for iPhones that shows additional information (the time of day the High/Low values occurred). Redesigned Settings screen. Option for 24-hour time. Millibar option for Pressure data. Pull-to-refresh. Option for auto-refresh. Heat Index (when appropriate). Charts with no data are hidden (no more empty rain charts every day during a long dry summer). Rain chart now shows cumulative rain in addition the rainfall rates.

3.1
New Features: * Light Color Theme * Humidity Chart Bug Fixes: * The Wind Direction chart was not appearing if the station was not reporting wind gust data * Sizing and spacing tweaks to smaller displays (iPhone SE) * Fixed empty space between some charts on iPhone X * Rain chart will now always show even if there's no rain (I was hiding them on purpose when there was no rain, but this caused a lot of confusion, so it's back to always being displayed) * Filtered out invalid dew point and pressure values
-
3.1.1
Sorry cold climate users. I inadvertantly filtered out dew point values below 0. Should be ok now.

Very little work has been done in the app for the last several months because I didn't know if the app would be able to survive past the end of the year. IBM (owners of Weather Underground) announced several months ago that the old data API was being shut down in favor of a new one. It wasn't until very late in the year before I knew if the new API would still have the data I needed and if I would be able to afford it. This is also why I put on hold the work I was doing to add an option to remove the ad banner. I did not want to take money from users only to have the app completely shut down a few months later. Fortunately I was able to work things out with IBM for the new API so now the app lives on and I can resume work on it. I have an ever increasing wish list (yes, including the ability to remove the ad banner) that I can now work on without worry that the app will shut down soon. * The new API should fix the recent problem with the "Last Updated" time sometimes being minutes or hours old. * However it's not perfect and I have already reported a few bugs. The biggest of which is that temperature and dew point values do not have any decimal place values. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. * Slight tweaks to the chart axis number labels to reduce the instances of duplicate numbers appearing (more work on this is coming soon)

3.5.1
3.5.1 * Fixed wind values not correctly being converted to the selected units. * The list of favorite stations should no longer have overlapping text if you have your device text size increased. * Some of you have reported the app crashing right off the bat. I'm still not 100% sure of the cause, but it seems to be happening mostly with users in the UK. I put in some additional error trapping that may help, but that may just change it from crashing to showing no data. Let me know what you experience. 3.5 Very little work has been done in the app for the last several months because I didn't know if the app would be able to survive past the end of the year. 3.5.2
* Fixed a problem for users in the GMT/UTC+0 time zone that could cause a crash or missing charts with the message "Error determining reading time". * The 12/24 hour time option should now work reliably for all users. * Reading times between noon and 1:00PM were being displayed as AM instead of PM.

Decimal temperature values are back! When Weather Underground/IBM switched to their new data API back in January, they were rounding off the temperature values to the nearest degree. After lots of complaints from lots of people they finally put the decimals back in. However I had to make a small update to the app in order to actually get those decimal temperature values again. So that's what this update is for. Follow @PWSMonitor on Twitter for app news and information.

Version 4.0.1 • Fixed problem where time displays between Noon and 1:00PM were showing AM instead of PM. • Fixed display of rain totals on the 7-day chart when the accumulated rain total value decrease mid-day. BIGGEST UPDATE EVER! Premium Users now get Home Screen and Lock Screen Widgets. A new companion Watch App with Complications. ALL users get these new features: New Combined View option - combines current data and chart together on the same card. The classic Square and Rectangle card views are still available. Share or save the full display or a single card - great for sharing with friends or on social media. No more clumsy screenshots! Rearrange the layout to your own personal taste. Also you can hide values you may not care about. Quickly toggle the charts between Current Day and 7 Day views right from the main display by long-pressing the Home Screen. Optionally plot the Wind Chill and Heat Index values on the Temperature charts (when applicable). Choose to startup the app on the Station List instead of the first station.

5.0.1
Thank you to everyone for the terrific response to version 5.0! Quick update with some small tweaks and fixes for 5.0.1: Fixed layout when sharing image of data card when set to rectangle card type. Combined View card style now shows high/low timestamps for current day when set to 7-day view. Dewpoint watch complications have been added. Tuned widget updates to hopefully update more consistently. This is tricky though because the OS restricts how often widgets and complications can update to roughly 4 times per hour but can be delayed based on usage, battery, or other factors that are out of my cotrol.
