  1. 3/5Great concept, Little annoying issues throughout.

I use mostly for punch list creation, tracking, and resolution. I have found a need for a longer queue in “recent punch items” in order to keep moving through rooms productively. The current update has made things slower because reusing a recent item loads it into the queue twice, etc. Removing other punch items that then have to be recreated. The older version handled this better. The comment and response section when communicating on a specific punch item makes it difficult to have clear communication back and forth using the app tool. Items have been failing to load for me when created and will just stay in the top of the queue unless resolved and reopened in the instance that is possible. When resolve and reopen is not an option there is really nothing much that can be done other than delete in the browser version and recreate. When linking items to a drawing it can begin to glitch and have had the app crash on me without saving atleast 20 previous items that were not loaded yet. A lot of unnecessary steps that may be useful in some scenarios but honestly could be much more productive not having to modify edits or individually add certain unavailable editable features to hundreds of items. The concept and goal of the app is untouchable and can revolutionize job management and communication throughout multiple industries it just needs some updates to the mobile system to help productivity and communication.

  2. 1/5Hope your stock crashes

Imagine a world where the brightest professionals in construction listen to a bunch of tech programmers who bought opinions of professionals and then created an app that not only steals trends but information from those bright professionals and resells it, to make it worse, these construction professionals sing this apps praise, we have truly entered a world where stupid people rein over intelligent. I’m tired of apps like this trying to take over and control the lives of people who have devoted their lives to an industry that is sick as a human can possibly get (mentally) however an industry that is fine without all the political virtue signaling that has taken it over. You don’t represent me or speak for me procure and I find your app is a poor excuse at machoism gone wrong. You are tech programmers, stay in your lane. I feel your company being on the stock market is all the proof anyone needs on this companies true intention, separating you from as much of your money as possible. How does it feel knowing that 90% of your users hate being forced to use your app?

  3. 2/5Love/Hate this app

Love “In theory” things I love or access current plans and specs for the entire team. Love that you can create markups and have them published or private. That contacts in directory are available for everyone and that you can record information from phone calls directly into the daily log. Access to submittals, even if the submittal tool is horrible. Hate (in function) tools are not arranged. Alphabetically cannot be arranged. Alphabetically must be arranged manually. Submittals when multiple revisions are made, it is almost impossible to differentiate between what current and what was revised and resubmitted without having to search through all submittals. Daily log and manpower that you cannot add someone to the log without them being in the master directory so so if you have temporary contractor for one day, they don’t count into your manpower. Equipment log cannot assign equipment to contractor via drop-down menu. specifications cannot highlight important information directly in the app, trying to input a new section into specifications takes a rocket science degree, with the wind blowing north and south at the same time and holding your mouth at a 32° angle perpendicular to the equator. And the biggest thing I absolutely hate about this app is the constant downloading of same details, same photos over and over and over again every time the app opens so when you have no service, you have no drawings even though you’ve opened them dozens of times

  4. 2/5Worst app for markup of plans

It’s great for project management if you’re a GC, but if you’re a specific trade and need to mark up plans, then this is the worst platform to do so. You can not change the way you scroll through documents and previous revisions, you can’t change the mark-up controls, the system does not retain your previous selections on certain tools (for example, every single time i click the highlighter, i have to select the size because it defaults back to small), you can’t apply a scroll switch finger and draw with pencil feature, so you MUST click pan/draw each and every time you need to go an inch over in the drawing, erasing things means you have to click select then click the drawing then click the screen button to delete then say I’m sure, etc etc etc. I suggest Goodnotes. This app requires five times the input to markup and freezes all the time in the process.

  5. 1/5It was a functional app, but someone insists on “updating” to stay relevant.

I spend a good portion of my day navigating plans and documents on Procore in the field as a supt for a GC. I use every page of the drawings so I’d like to have ready access in a format that doesn’t require hunting or trial and error. The new left column menu is an inefficient nightmare. Would it be so hard to offer an opt-in toggle instead of drastically changing what the user is accustomed to? The previous tool bar across the bottom, and the icon to access the full menu when I wanted it was great. Now, every step requires accessing the full menu, then closing the menu that pops up at every screen change. The list of plans in the drawings menu column is utterly useless. The column is so narrow, many of the plan titles are abbreviated to appear the same, forcing me to open them 1 at a time until I find the one I want. Do not suggest bookmarks either. If I have to bookmark an entire set of plans, that’s a clear indicator that your redesign is dysfunctional. Just bring back the option to display by grid or list, showing enough of the page title to make an accurate selection. I’ve seen it stated in other review responses that this was a much requested format change. Nobody asked you to make the app less functional than it was. I was a big fan, you’re losing my attention quickly.
