3/5iOS App Improvements
Bluebeam Cloud, used on a computer, is great. You can create projects, upload and share drawings, upload and share documents, create submittal logs, generate RFI’s, and create punch list items. However, when you upload items under the documents tab they aren’t accessible from the iOS app. It appears that the only functions available from the iOS app are the drawings, submittal log, and punch list. Adding a function to the iOS app to allow you to access the items uploaded under the documents tab would make this a much better app. I’m not sure why this is. You can use a browser on your iPad to log into the cloud and access the items under the documents tab but the markup features for the drawings, the RFI’s, and punch list all work better from the app. So your stuck using the browser half the time to access documents and using the app to generate markups on drawings, create RFI’s, and punch list items the other half of time. Hopefully they allow access to the documents through the app in a future roll out. It would change my rating for the app to 5 stars. Also, it would be nice to be able to attach/upload the actual submittal document to the corresponding entry in the submittal log so that it could be viewed from there. This app has potential but needs some work.

2/5Compared to Revu for iPad, this is NOT an improvement
I have been a Bluebeam user for over a decade (Bluebeam eXtreme/Complete for Windows desktop, Revu for Mac (prior to end-of-life), and the BEST AEC PDF app ever invented - Revu for iPad (prior to end of life). Everyone in the industry knows that Bluebeam Revu for Windows desktop is the gold standard for the AEC industry as far as editing PDFs. Having been to the Bluebeam eXtreme Conference in 2015, 2016, and 2017 (LA, San Diego, and LA), I thought that Revu for iPad would be a great mobile tool for years to come. I even thought you’d incorporate some aspects of Project Atlas into the app (I’m from DFW & friends with the creators). I’m sure you know that not everyone likes or wants to or can utilize Studio to its fullest extent. Bluebeam Cloud is similar in this regard. It is a step DOWN from the Revu for iPad app. On the old Revu for iPad app I could do quick scaled measurements, have fluent viewing from markups created in Revu desktop, and it was the most used app I had on my iPad by far. After having paid for it, I assumed that it would continue to be serviceable for at least a few more years. Now I’ve got to (hopefully) retrain my teams, clients, and stakeholders in Bluebeam Cloud - which none of them like as much as they liked Revu for iPad. I can understand getting rid of Revu for Mac. It hurt, but I get it. However, iPads are the most common tablet on commercial jobsites hands down. So why kill it off? Why not keep it “as-is” for those of us that paid for it & used it with success for years?

1/5Moonlight Bluebeam Revu for cloud and lost massive functionality
This app is incredibly frustrating and misleading if you actually rely on field markups for real work. Bluebeam Cloud removes critical functionality that made Bluebeam valuable in the first place — specifically Tool Sets and standardized markups. For teams like ours, field markups are the source of truth for as-builts, quantities, and validation. Moving to a “cloud-first” model that strips out these core capabilities fundamentally breaks established workflows. The app is fine if all you need is a lightweight PDF viewer with basic comments. It is not suitable for construction, utility, or telecom teams who depend on repeatable symbols, consistent markups, and enforceable standards from the field. The lack of parity between Revu and the Cloud app is not made clear, and it’s easy to assume this is a replacement when it absolutely is not. We changed our operating model based on the assumption that Bluebeam Cloud would support how field teams actually work on iPads — only to discover after rollout that essential features are gone and require separate licensing and a completely different app (Revu) to function. This shift creates unnecessary friction, confusion for field users, and real operational risk for companies that depend on accurate as-builts. If your field markups matter: this app will not meet your needs.

1/5Just another pdf viewer now so disappointed
This is worthless for now please release something that is closer to the old revu on iPad. This app won’t be used until all the functionality of mark ups and tool sets returns this is a very disappointing release considering what Revu used to be on ipad. One thing that also needs to be added if y’all are still improving this and plan on having it function like the old revu at some point then one thing that was always missing on the old revu was the ability to snap a picture of a floor plan with the camera and have it directly import into Revu as a pdf instead of the work around I use to do of using separate apps to do it. Thank you please improve this it’s very much unusable in its current state for many sales and sales engineers that where used to walking sites and placing mark ups while you walk.

1/5App is inadequate for mobile redlining
As a user of Bluebeam professionally for well over a decade in the AEC industry, I was excited for an updated app for better iPad implementation. This however is so difficult to use it feels like a high schooler coded it for a school project. Trying to use the Apple Pencil is unresponsive and often doesn’t produce a line and editing or moving prior text notes or callouts is extremely painful. If I had to redline a whole document set using this app, I would lose my mind. It would take me 10x the time to do vs the desktop app. How does a company the size of Revu release an app without basic functionality while ending the use of the previous app?Revu needs to beta test this with real Architects and roll out a complete app ASAP. You had 13+ years to be working on version 2.0, this is not acceptable. PS, I am not a complainer. In fact this is the first review on the App Store I have ever written. This app is THAT bad…

- Check out and check in Project files on iOS: Users can now check out Studio Project files directly from the iOS app. While checked out, licensed users can place and edit markups, add comments, and update statuses—even in the field. Files can be checked out from any platform, but only changes made from the platform used to check in will be saved. - Check in files with or without an internet connection: Users can check in files with or without an internet connection. Long press a tool set's name to rename it, or remove it when you're done. This is the first release of Tool Sets on the new iOS app, and the first time Tool Sets have been available on an iPhone. Available now to all users, paid or unpaid. - Add and remove vertices on Polylines and Polylengths Fine-tune shapes and measurements after you've drawn them. In edit mode, tap a yellow vertex to remove it, or tap anywhere along a line to add a new vertex at that point. - Faster markup status changes Change a markup's status with a single tap on the status pill in its panel. Previously this required a long press, which wasn't easy to discover. - User Account Hub Tap your name or email in Settings > Account to open the User Account Hub and manage your Bluebeam account details.

Adding a function to the iOS app to allow you to access the items uploaded under the documents tab would make this a much better app. I’m not sure why this is. You can use a browser on your iPad to log into the cloud and access the items under the documents tab but the markup features for the drawings, the RFI’s, and punch list all work better from the app. So your stuck using the browser half the time to access documents and using the app to generate markups on drawings, create RFI’s, and punch list items the other half of time. Hopefully they allow access to the documents through the app in a future roll out. It would change my rating for the app to 5 stars. Also, it would be nice to be able to attach/upload the actual submittal document to the corresponding entry in the submittal log so that it could be viewed from there. This app has potential but needs some work.",

          "title": "Compared to Revu for iPad, this is NOT an improvement",
          "body": "I have been a Bluebeam user for over a decade (Bluebeam eXtreme/Complete for Windows desktop, Revu for Mac (prior to end-of-life), and the BEST AEC PDF app ever invented - Revu for iPad (prior to end of life). Everyone in the industry knows that Bluebeam Revu for Windows desktop is the gold standard for the AEC industry as far as editing PDFs. Having been to the Bluebeam eXtreme Conference in 2015, 2016, and 2017 (LA, San Diego, and LA), I thought that Revu for iPad would be a great mobile tool for years to come. I even thought you’d incorporate some aspects of Project Atlas into the app (I’m from DFW & friends with the creators). I’m sure you know that not everyone likes or wants to or can utilize Studio to its fullest extent. Bluebeam Cloud is similar in this regard. It is a step DOWN from the Revu for iPad app. On the old Revu for iPad app I could do quick scaled measurements, have fluent viewing from markups created in Revu desktop, and it was the most used app I had on my iPad by far. After having paid for it, I assumed that it would continue to be serviceable for at least a few more years. Now I’ve got to (hopefully) retrain my teams, clients, and stakeholders in Bluebeam Cloud - which none of them like as much as they liked Revu for iPad. I can understand getting rid of Revu for Mac. It hurt, but I get it. However, iPads are the most common tablet on commercial jobsites hands down. So why kill it off? Why not keep it “as-is” for those of us that paid for it & used it with success for years?",

          "body": "This app is incredibly frustrating and misleading if you actually rely on field markups for real work. Bluebeam Cloud removes critical functionality that made Bluebeam valuable in the first place — specifically Tool Sets and standardized markups. For teams like ours, field markups are the source of truth for as-builts, quantities, and validation. Moving to a “cloud-first” model that strips out these core capabilities fundamentally breaks established workflows. The app is fine if all you need is a lightweight PDF viewer with basic comments. It is not suitable for construction, utility, or telecom teams who depend on repeatable symbols, consistent markups, and enforceable standards from the field. The lack of parity between Revu and the Cloud app is not made clear, and it’s easy to assume this is a replacement when it absolutely is not. We changed our operating model based on the assumption that Bluebeam Cloud would support how field teams actually work on iPads — only to discover after rollout that essential features are gone and require separate licensing and a completely different app (Revu) to function. This shift creates unnecessary friction, confusion for field users, and real operational risk for companies that depend on accurate as-builts. If your field markups matter: this app will not meet your needs.",

          "body": "This is worthless for now please release something that is closer to the old revu on iPad. This app won’t be used until all the functionality of mark ups and tool sets returns this is a very disappointing release considering what Revu used to be on ipad. One thing that also needs to be added if y’all are still improving this and plan on having it function like the old revu at some point then one thing that was always missing on the old revu was the ability to snap a picture of a floor plan with the camera and have it directly import into Revu as a pdf instead of the work around I use to do of using separate apps to do it. Thank you please improve this it’s very much unusable in its current state for many sales and sales engineers that where used to walking sites and placing mark ups while you walk.",

          "body": "As a user of Bluebeam professionally for well over a decade in the AEC industry, I was excited for an updated app for better iPad implementation. This however is so difficult to use it feels like a high schooler coded it for a school project. Trying to use the Apple Pencil is unresponsive and often doesn’t produce a line and editing or moving prior text notes or callouts is extremely painful. If I had to redline a whole document set using this app, I would lose my mind. It would take me 10x the time to do vs the desktop app. How does a company the size of Revu release an app without basic functionality while ending the use of the previous app?Revu needs to beta test this with real Architects and roll out a complete app ASAP. You had 13+ years to be working on version 2.0, this is not acceptable. PS, I am not a complainer. In fact this is the first review on the App Store I have ever written. This app is THAT bad…",
