1. 5/5Bluetooth issue

   After upgrading to iOS 17.1.2, one of the powerdots seems to not be able to connect through Bluetooth. I used it the day before upgrading the iOS version so not sure if that is related. On the website there are instructions to reset and reconnect but that doesn’t work and there’s very little help otherwise. The device itself is good but they should have some other ways to connect them other than through the Apple apps because if bugs come up you can’t use the device. Update: I contacted customer support and they replaced my device as it was still under warranty. The process was very easy and straightforward. Everything is working properly so far. Overall a very positive experience.

   I have been a Jiu jitsu athlete for almost 20 years and have put my body through the ringer. Throw in mountain biking, snowboarding, and skateboarding and you have a recipe for aches and pains. I started using PowerDot when they first came out. I thought it was great back then. I have had a couple different versions of their devices and they have all performed amazingly. As I get new ones, I hand down the older models and even the very first one I bought is still in use. They last forever. I wish I had something good to say about their customer service or warranty, but I have no experience dealing with them because I have never had a single issue over the many years and models. I have also tried some other other devices you can get online, but those require you to manually set up parameters for each session. They are way more complicated and unless you really spend the time to learn everything about EMS and TENS, you probably won’t set it up correctly. My only gripe is that the butterfly pads don’t have a pull tab to help you remove them after use. Maybe they do now, I haven’t ordered any in while. Great product Josh/PowerDot.

   Love this product. My husband got this for me and my daughters since he would observe us in lot of pain during our menstrual cycle. I would have lot of pain on my upper thigh and back. I used this product for 10 to 15 minutes and my pain wasn’t there. I thought it would come back but the pain didn’t come back. In the past I have tried hot water bags, pain relievers, exercises ( which did help to a certain extend) but still would continue having the nagging pain. Very thankful to my husband for researching the product and getting it for us. Thank you to power dot for creating a section just for period pain. I will give a 5 star to this product.

4. 3/5Expected more from therabody! So much potential.

   I have so many quality products from therabody, I guess I just expected the same level of quality from powerdot. Don’t get me wrong, powerdot does work well but for the price point the app should be better, if not setting the standard for excellence in the space. I’ve traveled all around the world with this thing. As a former athlete and now weekend warrior. I need just a lil more out of this product after my recent knee surgery. Great for menstrual cramp and general aches/ pains. But for recovery from surgery and to use based on my physical therapist recommendation it just doesn’t cut it. - ❌ no diagrams of placement recommendations - ❌ you can only use the pre created programs, not able to create any sorta custom program - ❌ can’t use each device for different areas at the same time, only able to use it for the same area at one time - ✅ fixed (none of the article or tips properly link anywhere) - ❌ they stopped selling the pads in bulk That being said their is a lot of potential here. All of these things are fixable. The strength of the tens is great. The device itself is high quality. The pads are great quality and last a long time.

   Areas of treatment feel a little better at times after use, especially if it’s something that a regular massage would fix. Not really getting any healing from other issues such as elbow joint pain, shoulder pain or back pain from previous injury. The most disappointing thing about the unit is that even to just use for a massage would be ok, although a bit over priced for that, is each time I’m having to disconnect and re-pair the pods to my phone and the app. Sometimes this works easily other times it takes a while. IMO, it’s overpriced for the benefit I get and for the price it should work seamlessly therefore 3 stars.
