   I’ve had this app off and on for a LONG time.. my biggest suggestion .. we need news faster and more at our fingertips ... if we had time to watch your commercial or commercials at all why would we chose an app to catch up.. cut all people off from ads and give us locals the “real news” we LOVE I REFUSE ABSOLUTELY ... REFUSE to watch anyone else’s news broadcast or even subscribe let’s check my social media nothing KGW is my local hometown news! You guys are rock stars let’s keep shining also let’s talk more POSITIVE where are the news journalist Whatever happened to finding a really really good story. Find support groups for people of all situations have them hammered with a banner at the bottom of you’re news cast and make sure to bring it to the light it’s the season of loneliness and the true feeling of no love... suicides are at a higher rate due to the holidays! Help us !!! We need someone like you A BIG BIG LOCAL PLATFORM you guys change people’s life’s and point of view bring us up! Be our vitamin D Xo- Mathanial Hollowell

2. 1/5Incessant ads must go!!!

   Update: Thank you for doing away with the ads for a short period of time but then you brought them back! 😩 A lot more people would use the app if you didn’t force us to watch 15-30 seconds of ads before we can view a news clip with volume! Super disappointed that wasn’t a permanent change! Although the news about the coronavirus is less urgent now, I want to follow news about George Floyd’s murder and the movement it has sparked that demands prompt and permanent change in how people of color are treated. Please find another way to show ads rather than showing teaser news clips on mute that make you view an ad to have volume!!!! *********** I love the notifications of breaking news but the same repetitive OHSU Health ad that you are forcing people to watch over and over for 15-30 seconds before we are allowed to view a 1-2 minute news snippet is ridiculous! And if we want to watch more than one news snippet, we have to watch the same annoying ad over and over. I get that advertising pays your bills but in light of the global pandemic & the public need for TIMELY updates on the health crisis that directly impact all of us, I would argue that a reduction in mandatory viewing of ads is very much overdue.

   This isn’t a review, but I like KGW. Question,..could we see pictures of the slain children in mass shootings? I am totally aware of the abhorrent thought of this. I understand the complexity of it as well. My argument is we as a society really brush off these incidents and our law makers won’t do anything about it because they want to keep their jobs,….well most of them, but not all. I just think it’s time to make this problem one that we can’t ignore any longer. It’s one thing to hear about it, but might be quite another to see it. My thoughts are the sensitivity of it for families and loved ones might be offset by their hopeful and meaningful change in our laws. Let’s all see just how abhorrent this thing we allow to happen, really is. I think the shock value is necessary. Imagine the outrage.

4. 4/5American, buying property in Mexico?)

   We did …………. Many years ago! My former husband and I ( He died in 2010) bought a beautiful home there in San Miguel de Allende). He, Ken, obviously had enough money in Social Security coming in. Since Ken and I had been forced to get a divorce after years together (by his daughter,) but married only a few, I was not able to buy it. (His daughter convinced Ken that I was after his money) not true!!! I loved him so much. Fortunately, Ken stipulated in his will that he wanted to give the home to me. So, I contacted a good real estate friend of ours who found a Mexican lawyer who helped me sell the property…! My status was not legal because my passport had not yet arrived, and my income was not big enough to live in Mexico!!!? But, my friend was able to sell my beautiful property and she sent me the money!!😃 With that money, I was able to buy a new home and car 🚗 n Oregon! My statement IS: “ I think Mexican people should be given an easier and less lengthy process of getting a passport AND a social security card so they can live here in the USA!! They are such warm and loving people. I’m living next door to one now! Doneen Owens-Anderson

   What a glitchy app. Let me list three major problems. 1. I believe the developers deliberately do not provide a fast forward option in order to force you to watch the same adds over and over, with adds taking longer than the actual news. 2. Recently, the app freezes every day. It does not respond to any attempted selection. The only solution to watch the news is to delete the app and reload. 3. Not so much a problem in the app as failure on the part of the tech crew preparing the news for the day. Often, they do nothing. I open the app and after going through all the hoops,discover I‘m watching yesterday’s news. I‘ve finally learned to look at the weather option. At least it has the date clearly visible. If it shows yesterday’s dates, the local news has also not been updated. I would love to find a local news station that has a first class tech team, fewer yet diverse adds, and operates smoothly like the major networks!
