I've been looking for a free workout app of quality, and this one is the best ever created. It has a lot of features I just love. For example, The possibility of selecting your gym so that the app can create a workout plan for you based on your gym’s equipment (yes, you don't have to manually select which machines they do and do not have). Also, I love how it adapts to your desired workout frequency and expertise level, and how personalizable it is. The fact that you can also switch between gym and home workouts, and select the equipment you have at home for more personalized guidance is amazing. The workouts the app has recommended to me so far have been wonderful. I end each workout more than satisfied. Also, if you want a more personalized experience, you can get premium which offers a bunch more features to play with and track your progress. In general, it is an awesome app, and I love everything about it.

5/5Recent upgrade affected weight selection
The recent upgrade (Apr 2024) has a bug. When you want to start your routine, the AI will ask you if you want the recommended ai weight and reps or from previous records; despite your selection, it does not change and it doesn’t allows you to continue. I have restarted the app several times and still not working since 5-6 days ago. Please fix it. UPDATE: The above issue only affects the iPad version, as the SAVE button is not shown and cannot scroll down the options to access it. UPDATE (May 2024). The developer has fixed the issue, and had the attention to let me know about it. Planfit app and Customer service deserve a 5-Star!

3/5Maybe others didn’t have these problems…
A few things that frustrated me… and then what I liked. I didn’t realize that the app needed to connect to my watch to “count” the workout. App failed to synch, so that workout was lost. I figured out how’s to put it in, but I know at least some of the data is lost. Now that I know that, the app still has a hard time connecting to my Apple Watch, even after re-installing it. The A.I. coach repeats itself between sets. Not sure if that’s avoidable, but it makes it less likely for me to want to use it. The app doesn’t allow time between sets to set up and break down equipment. This gives an inaccurate estimation of how long it will take to finish the workout. And finally, the rest timer resets if I do anything else on my phone, which is exactly when I need it working the most. What I liked: The coach is encouraging, if you need encouragement, it’s nice! The AI is good at answering questions regarding supplements, nutrition, meal timing, etc. I liked that it has other exercises to recommend when equipment isn’t available for the same exercises, and (I’m guessing) it adjusts the weight and reps accordingly. It has a ton of features that aren’t immediately visible, it takes some effort to look around and find all the things, but I like that, so… liked the community aspect, not really my thing, but cool to discover! All in all, I’m not sure if I’ll continue, but it’s definitely worth it.

This app is not perfect, but it was extremely effective for me. 4 months later I am still regularly heading to the gym, something that was a huge struggle in the past. The ability to plan workouts, record info seamlessly, and switch out exercises takes out unpleasant cognitive work out of something that can already be difficult. The AI chatbot actually usually has useful advice on exercises most of the time. Overall I’m seeing the differences in how I move and how I look in the mirror. Very greatful and enthusiastic enough to actually leave a review

4/5Language choices
The app has really helped me to focus. I love that you just tell it what equipment you have and let it generate a plan even in the free version. I will probably bump up to the paid version soon because I’m starting to see real results. My ONLY complaint is that in the “instructions” part of some of the exercises that I have clicked into to make sure I’m doing them right, they are written in a language that I can’t read. I’ve went through all the setting screens to see if maybe I had something set wrong but I don’t see an option to change languages. Other than that, this is a wonderful app. Thank you!

          "body": "I've been looking for a free workout app of quality, and this one is the best ever created. It has a lot of features I just love. For example, The possibility of selecting your gym so that the app can create a workout plan for you based on your gym’s equipment (yes, you don't have to manually select which machines they do and do not have). Also, I love how it adapts to your desired workout frequency and expertise level, and how personalizable it is. The fact that you can also switch between gym and home workouts, and select the equipment you have at home for more personalized guidance is amazing. The workouts the app has recommended to me so far have been wonderful. I end each workout more than satisfied. Also, if you want a more personalized experience, you can get premium which offers a bunch more features to play with and track your progress. In general, it is an awesome app, and I love everything about it.",

          "body": "The recent upgrade (Apr 2024) has a bug. When you want to start your routine, the AI will ask you if you want the recommended ai weight and reps or from previous records; despite your selection, it does not change and it doesn’t allows you to continue. I have restarted the app several times and still not working since 5-6 days ago. Please fix it. UPDATE: The above issue only affects the iPad version, as the SAVE button is not shown and cannot scroll down the options to access it. UPDATE (May 2024). The developer has fixed the issue, and had the attention to let me know about it. Planfit app and Customer service deserve a 5-Star!",

          "body": "A few things that frustrated me… and then what I liked. I didn’t realize that the app needed to connect to my watch to “count” the workout. App failed to synch, so that workout was lost. I figured out how’s to put it in, but I know at least some of the data is lost. Now that I know that, the app still has a hard time connecting to my Apple Watch, even after re-installing it. The A.I. coach repeats itself between sets. Not sure if that’s avoidable, but it makes it less likely for me to want to use it. The app doesn’t allow time between sets to set up and break down equipment. This gives an inaccurate estimation of how long it will take to finish the workout. And finally, the rest timer resets if I do anything else on my phone, which is exactly when I need it working the most. What I liked: The coach is encouraging, if you need encouragement, it’s nice! The AI is good at answering questions regarding supplements, nutrition, meal timing, etc. I liked that it has other exercises to recommend when equipment isn’t available for the same exercises, and (I’m guessing) it adjusts the weight and reps accordingly. It has a ton of features that aren’t immediately visible, it takes some effort to look around and find all the things, but I like that, so… liked the community aspect, not really my thing, but cool to discover! All in all, I’m not sure if I’ll continue, but it’s definitely worth it.",

          "body": "This app is not perfect, but it was extremely effective for me. 4 months later I am still regularly heading to the gym, something that was a huge struggle in the past. The ability to plan workouts, record info seamlessly, and switch out exercises takes out unpleasant cognitive work out of something that can already be difficult. The AI chatbot actually usually has useful advice on exercises most of the time. Overall I’m seeing the differences in how I move and how I look in the mirror. Very greatful and enthusiastic enough to actually leave a review",

          "body": "The app has really helped me to focus. I love that you just tell it what equipment you have and let it generate a plan even in the free version. I will probably bump up to the paid version soon because I’m starting to see real results. My ONLY complaint is that in the “instructions” part of some of the exercises that I have clicked into to make sure I’m doing them right, they are written in a language that I can’t read. I’ve went through all the setting screens to see if maybe I had something set wrong but I don’t see an option to change languages. Other than that, this is a wonderful app. Thank you!",
