1. 4/5Fantastic, but missing some features

   Pixel studio is, overall, a very competent program, especially for being free. The amount of ads within the app aren’t egregious, though sometimes annoying when I trigger them by accident. I really love the simplicity of the features, although figuring what they do and memorizing them can be a little confusing at first, so maybe a small help button in the corner could do the trick, or there could be an overview slideshow available to watch in the tab menu. This is just a personal preference, but I feel that the addition of gesture controls would be appreciated, even the simple two finger tap to undo, three finger tap to redo would be nice. I also feel that the addition of color pallets, either that can be imported or just created by the artist while drawing would be nice, so the color menu won’t get too cluttered with random colors. I also kind of wish that you could zoom in and turn the piece as well, like with other art programs such as procreate or ibis paint. Lastly, i feel that the addition of blending modes would be amazing as well, since I could not find them as far as I looked. Aside from the features I have mentioned, pixel studio is a fantastic app for starting your journey in pixel art. Thank you for reading!

2. 5/5I’m not sure what to put here

   I’m going to be really honest, this is probably my first ever review on anything really. This app is my first time picking up an app to animate and make sprite sheets, and pixel animations for fun, and it genuinely works pretty great, I mean it’s pretty simple, in terms of not being super complex, it’s nice and comfortable, allows you to do a whole bunch of things like use separate layers for animating so you can have a background and not have it mess with your character or creature, it also allows for easily saving whatever you make to whatever format you need, I haven’t run into any issues yet, besides maybe accidentally linking my animation and having to re-do all of the frames 😔 but that was my fault, and I’m sure there is ways to undo or something, anyways, this has drawn out now, if you’re still reading for whatever reason, I hope you give this app a try and create whatever it is you’ve been meaning to create, all of your what ifs. 3. 5/5Pretty Nifty Sprite Editor / Small-scale Art Tool

   Probably one of the best programs I’ve found out here for making sprites and doodles for my own projects. An impressive suite of tools, intuitive and no-brainer interface, and zero-cost investment easily garner a 5 star review and a high recommendation from me. I will most probably invest money in this once I get my life together. The only bit of feedback I might offer is that once or twice (out of the past month or two of usage,) I believe an advert has loaded without generating a close button when I go to save my work, requiring me to force quit the app. However, this is largely mitigated by the auto-save feature (for which I am incredibly thankful, as I am often quite a forgetful fellow.) This could be caused by any number of things unrelated to the app, though, as I am still on iOS version 15. Thanks for making this! I’ll be sure to put you in the credits of anything I make with it.

4. 5/5It’s a great app but it’s missing a few things.

   So, I really like the app but since it’s an art program I think it needs a few things. One, I know you need to make money off of this, totally understand, but not being able to turn off the setting for other people to copy your work unless you have PRO is, too me, annoying. Again, I understand, but I don’t want my art to be taken from me or for somebody else to use it without my permission. Two, color wheel, I know we have one, but I think it would be cool if we could just have it on the side instead of clicking the squares, ofc it could be a setting I didn’t find and if so, my bad, but just an idea. Lastly… there is no lastly, this was all I could come up with. Either way, I think this app is amazing and I fallen in love with pixel art because of it. I sincerely hope you’re doing okay dev. :D

5. 5/5Confusing but Good

   I’m usually not the type of person to critique things, but I have a few things to say about this app. It would be nice if when you first download the app you could get the option of a tutorial- or something to help you better understand what’s what. Luckily I have a friend who’s familiar with the app, so that’s lucky. But I’m also having trouble exporting my gifs- for some reason it doesn’t appear in my camera roll. I’ve tried almost every way I could think of but nothing works. This app has a lot of potential, I’m just staying some minor adjustments that I think would help a lot! I’ve only had this app for a few days, so I’m not going to give it a bad rating. I know what this app is capable of, and it’s results are amazing when finished! I’ll just need to get the hang of it. I’ll leave this at 5 stars for now, until I have more experience. Overall the app is good for pixel art with many tools, just slightly confusing to a newbie.

   Why do we create a layer?.. because we don't want to draw on top of another image directly... but guess what?. if you create a layer and save and go to other project then come back it will auto combine all the layers😡🤦‍♂️.. 3 stars just for that and anything else is great but it pain me caused I draw all of that layers...

   this is an awesome app! it's easy to use for beginners, but you can still make really cool art with it. and I love the animation abilities of it. always nice to find such a well thought out app like this!

   Saving any art you want to your gallery is an extremely painful project because it also downloads 4 other documents for no reason which automatically creates a folder inside your files. And instead of it automatically saving whatever you make to the gallery you have to do it manually
