1. 5/5Needs some improvement

   I have had PicMonkey on my laptop for years now. I downloaded the app for my iPhone when it first came out. I’m in love with the computer version but the mobile version needs some improvements made to it. The biggest problem I keep having is when I’m using the coloring feature. Right up next to the back button is the “X” button and it’s very very easy to accidentally hit the X button when all I want to do is go back one step. I don’t seem to have that problem with anything else in this app, but because it doesn’t alert you asking you if you’re sure you want to erase everything you’ve been working on. As well as it being right there next to the back button, I find myself needing to redo everything I’ve done and I have to do that several times per photo. I try not to hit the X button but too many times I do. I’ve been at the very end of my editing with the drawing pen and accidentally hit the X button and have lost an hour or more of work. How frustrating is that?!? You have the best app for editing photos especially with the way your pen tools work, except for the fact that I keep loosing my work with the accidental hitting of that stupid X button. Can you please either move the X button to another location on the screen or make it prompt you asking you if you want to quit what you’re doing & go back, please? Normally I hate it when I tell an app that I’m done using something on it and it asks me if I really want to quit doings that thing, but this would have some big benefits to it if it did that. As 9 1/2 times out of ten, I don’t want to loose everything I’ve been working on. Please change this in your app, or I’m afraid I’ll have to delete it and give you a very low score on here. 2. 4/5Recently Disappointed :(

   I have been using Pic Monkey for years upon years. I have them set up for auto pay because I’ve been able to count one of the best photo editing programs out there. In the past year however, if I want their best editing features, I have to pay extra. Instead of jumping on and seeing new exciting features that I get for being a paid customer. Now, I’m a low end paid customer. Example, if I want to use auto background removal. The option is there, but to use it you have to upgrade or use manual. The manual works almost intentionally bad. That way you’re encouraged to pay and use the auto. Same with “Effects”, if you want to use one of the 4 new ones, you have to pay for them. I bought into it, but I’m learning that they are nothing more of the same effects with slight changes in contrast or brightness. Then slapped with a new name/label ...then I’m charged extra to use it. It never used to be like this. I’ve always felt like I was a valued customer before and that I was already paying for this great app. Now I feel like I’m being nickeled and dimed if I want a great app. For the first time in years, I’m thinking about shopping around for a new photo editing app. :(

3. 1/5Another business taking advantage of people

   Seems like I’m not the only one with this issue. I used Picmonkey a couple years ago religiously and loved it. Now they’re just money-hungry. I clicked to try a basic membership feature because it gave me the option to do a 7 day trial before committing. So I signed up for the trial. When my image was finished an ad showed to try their watermark feature and I clicked to try it. The watermark feature is apparently a pro membership feature that costs more. When I clicked to try the feature, instead of allowing me to do the trial it charged me the FULL amount for the WHOLE YEAR. I contacted support and Vidal Videra kept sending me the same message. They took screenshots of where I clicked submit etc (creepy and intrusive). Clearly the placement and the way you are INSTANTLY charged for clicking to try a feature that’s advertised - it’s just taking advantage of people. After pushing they offered a refund for all but that amount. Why? I was supposed to receive a TRIAL for 7 days, “cancel anytime” before the 7 days are up - yet you charge me for a full month? I hate businesses that take advantage of people, and PicMonkey has become one of them. Sooo of course I’m filing complaints any and everywhere I can because, why has it become commonplace for businesses to do whatever they want to steal money from people?

   Thanks for making this app🙏I like it very much. Although there is a downside. I want to download my pictures I created, but it cost cash. This disappoints me. I work hard on my photos and I cannot even download them. I’m not trying to be mean, but I’m just suggesting to lower the price and ability to use this app. Maybe you can let people download their photos and creations for free, but if the quality of the photo is 90 or above, it can cost money. They can just make the quality of the photo 89 percent. Picsart uses this method. I think it’s a great idea for pic monkey too, because you can get better reviews and more people will be able to enjoy making creations and editing photos without thinking of paying money to make something of their own, instead of forcing them to pay to keep their own creations. I think this is unfair. On the other hand, it’s pretty great. There is a lot of ability’s and methods you can use to create, and edit photos. I like it pretty much. Thank you for putting a lot of effort into this. 🙏 Let me know what you think😊

5. 2/5PicMonkey worsen the features

   I’m super sad that I had to give this rating to an app that has been with me years now, but this is an attempt to be heard as a user because I don’t really wanna have to feel obligated to erase PicMonkey for not performing as usual. Not long ago a few changes were made on the app, those were great.. Unfortunately just a couple of days ago or so the app added quite a few unnecessary changes in an attempt to “improve things” it didn’t. These changes only slows down the editing process and has dramatically affected the quality of the content you create in it, the stickers, graphics, vectors, photos images would look more blurred, the edges are not sharp or defined, it seems that the program can’t maintain its optimal quality level under those changes, when you move graphics it will leave a shadow that doesn’t belong to the design you’re creating or that you simply don’t want, I recently was ask to redo an image Ad I created for the first time cause the logo vector looked blurred and just a past month I created an edit under this app and everything looked neat. Another thing are the new sky blue size managing squares that are super unnecessarily and actually minimize your visual when placing things while creating edits and totally slows you down, what best that move the graphics freely like before! To be noted that none of this features are affected by using only the Free version, these are common features are affected in both versions. Please fix the app and remove the unnecessary changes made recently. If your team provides an email below I will send a comparison of the content I created before the app underwent the unsatisfactory changes. Thanks
