1. 4/5Overall, lots of fun

   I really like this app overall. I’ve had so much fun playing with my pictures. The color and grey functions work great and so many cool stickers, overlays, and filters. I did pay the $4.99 and I am only a little disappointed. The only problem I’m having is that for recoloring, I am lucky if it actually shows up on the picture as the color I selected. For example, I chose orange and I got blue. That really needs to be fixed or better explained perhaps. But if I’m not trying to get an exact color, it’s fun to change things up.

2. 3/5How many gimmicks do developers think we can afford‽

   I've had this app for *years* but haven't been doing any color splash work for a long time. Today, I have a project, and I'm checking out my apps - to find out that the price of this has shot up tremendously. $31 for a year‽ No way to own‽ I could dig through my records for what the cost was when I last used it, just to see how absurd it has become, but I'll probably just move on to my other similar apps to find one that's reasonably priced for the functions available. At least some developers grandfather in users who have had the app for years- but nope. Not these guys. I'm all for a living wage, don't get me wrong, but the cost of doing business surely hasn't gone up so much that every developer “needs” to charge $25-$50+ annually sometimes without even an option to buy. This isn't an all-around editor- it changes colors and adds some gimmicks. Wouldn't it be nice if Apple or Google add Color Splash and/or Recolor to their basic editors? Once upon a time they didn't include a crop tool (not that some huge %age of people seem to know how to use it!) and other tools I had to buy. I don't care for monopolies but if developers are acting in concert with each other on the cost of apps (and g-d subscriptions!) there may as well be one already.

3. 1/5Can’t edit my pictures

   I just started using this app and it won’t allow me to access MY pictures 😡. I paid the $3.99 for what? To take a picture with this app so I can edit it? That’s crazy!! The icing on the cake is, there is no information or help 🤬. But what really chaps my hide is I go into another app and it starts out exactly like this one, and I can get into my pictures, but wait, it’s saying I have to pay $1.99 to have unlimited access 🤯. WHAT, I already paid twice that for this app. I don’t understand how they have so many positive ratings. I’ve come to the conclusion this app has ripped off the other one and I’m a sucker that fell for it. I’ll also bet my review gets locked behind the same door my pictures are, never to be seen 😤. Is there any way to get my money back 👿

4. 1/5READ THIS BEFORE DOWNLOADING $4.99 for “free” APP

   App states FREE no need to purchase, absolutely free. I’m always careful that I’m not downloading a “free app” that will then charge me after a certain amount of days. I’m fine with a free trial period, and if I like the app I’ll keep it and know what I’ll be charged, if not I’ll know to cancel it, and when to cancel it. Most are 7 days or 30 days. This one charged me $3.99 after four days, with no notice. If it’s in the app description it must be hidden or verbiage added after I downloaded. Shady, misleading, dishonest. I’ve requested a refund; I’ll update here. If it’s a quick refund without a fight I’ll revise my review, if not I will fight, I will not give up, and I’ll post reviews and warnings EVERYWHERE. REPEATEDLY. Over and over and over.

5. 4/5Good but why no “new project” button

   This works fairly well although the auto mode doesn’t seem to work as well as it used to. What keeps me from 5 stars is if I want to start over with a new photo, I have to click back, back, back, back and the. It asks me if I want to discard my project. It doesn’t toss the project but a “new project” button at the end of the process would be a fantastic add and honestly seems like a HUGE oversight on the part of the developers. Clearly the developers aren’t actually USING the app or this would’ve been fixed by now.
