   Very easy to follow, non-judgemental method for learning to increase awareness & the difference between thoughts, emotions, & consciousness through meditation. Not “fluffy” or too “hippy-ish.” Feels more concrete and simple to follow, esp for beginners and skeptics. Builds on itself so one can truly feel progress, one simple step at a time. Really helps one recognize his/her own emotions and how they connect/affect one’s cognitive and physical reactions. By being more aware of these processes, we learn how to better navigate & manage them. Highly recommend. Children’s version also awesome for kids.

   On m’a toujours dit de faire de la méditation pour m’apaiser, étant diagnostiquée spasmophilie et trouble de l’angoisse généralisée. Mais c’etait toujours chiant et long. Une corvée! Mais avec petit bambou j’ai trouvé mon équilibre. Les séances sont courtes et bien répertoriées! Je suis super apaisée avant d’aller au lit! Merci I have always been told to meditate to appease myself, being diagnosed with spasmophilia and generalized anxiety disorder. But it was always boring and long. A chore! But with little bamboo I found my balance. The sessions are short and well indexed! I am soothed before going to bed! Thank you

   There are lots of good meditation apps available. Each one has particular strengths and weaknesses. Most have an introductory course. Petit BamBou has the best introductory courses, Basics 1-4. It exposes you to a wide range of techniques that will really help you notice things about how your mind works that you never noticed before. The weakness of Petit BamBou is that is often sounds like the guide is reading a script. It’s a good script but at times the vocal pacing sounds like the guide is just reading the words rather than spontaneously saying them. Nonetheless, the content and detail of the guidance is very good.

4. 3/5Great, but doesn’t work when the screen is locked

   I purchased this app because I loved their meditations in sleep cycle. After sleep cycle removed them, I was excited to access more of the meditations that I’d come to enjoy so much. Unfortunately, this app doesn’t have the same quality meditations as they produced for sleep cycle. Also, for me at least, I can never get the app to work when I lock my screen. It just stops playing. Since I use it for sleep, this is annoying both because of the phone light and because it’ll auto lock anyways. I wanted to love this app, but I think it needs a lot of improvements.

5. 4/5Wonderful!

   I love this app! The voices are relaxing, the subjects are excellent, and being able to choose different languages is amazing. My only complaint is the long pauses during the dialogue. I use the app while falling asleep and when the person starts speaking again after complete silence, it often wakes me up with a jolt which is not at all relaxing! If there were background music (or if I could use another app to play music softly at the same time) it would remove this problem.
