   Just about every town near me uses a different parking app. I currently have at least 5 on my phone. This is by far the worst one. Three months ago, I parked in a small town in the evening and couldn’t see any signs indicating the hours of operation for the parking meters. I downloaded the app to attempt to find out if I had to pay or not. The app would not reveal the information until I funded my in-app “wallet” with $15. Once I paid this ransom, the app revealed that we were, in fact, outside of payment hours, and parking would be free that evening. I continued with my evening, went home, and forgot about this app and my $15 that were stuck inside it. Three months went by, and I remember the incident, so I contact customer service through the app. The (helpful) customer service agent says that he will refund me, but it will take 20 DAYS, and 5% will be deducted for “processing fees”. When I inquired further about this charge, he said that it was “standard” and for “bank to bank transfers”, although I paid with PayPal. I effectively lent this company $15 for three months, after they provided absolutely no service to me whatsoever. Now, they are planning to keep my money for an additional three weeks. I have never heard of a standard back processing fee of 5% and have never seen a refund take 20 days to process. I have never been required to fund an in-app wallet to pay for a parking space. The presence of this app makes me want to avoid the (lovely) small town that employs it. Avoid downloading if at all possible.

2. 1/5Worse parking app ever

   First They make it seem like you are only paying $0.25 per hr but then as soon as you select park you are being charged a fee of $6.96 for 24hr which is held on your account. If you don’t use the whole 24hr they will give whatever you didn’t use back, so basically just taking your money and they will do this every time you park. I live in a apartment that uses it and we also have a towing company that circles around every hr to make sure you paid and if you forget for a second your car is getting towed. I really don’t understand the need to put a hold like just charge the 25 cents for however long some one is parked smh it’s really a rip off. Even visitors have to use it. Some one can be stopping by for like 10 min and you have to get charged $6.96 when it only costs 25 cents. I also don’t like that you cannot just add more money for the parking time you’re already using just like if you were parked at a meter. Once your time runs out that’s it you have to start it over. My bank account literally says pango, pango, pango, pango 🙄 I hate it

3. 1/5Warning: Don’t use this parking app!!

   I’ll share my experience in a hot parking lot in Bend Oregon. in order to pay the parking fee I first had to visit the website for Pango where they make you download their app, this app. Then it has you create a new account. Then it has you link it to your bank or digital cash service such as Venmo. Then they make you transfer funds from it to your new account at Pango. When I finally go to pay the parking fee, it says it’s a free parking day!! It just had me go through all that setup before it tells me that? I try to contact Pango customer service to get my money back and after about a week and a half they finally respond and tell me that I can’t get it back for 20 days from when I request it and that they’re going to take out a processing fee! stay away from this app based on their business practice!

4. 1/5If you can help it, don't ever use this app

   If i could give "-100" stars, i would've. I had my brothers visiting for 2 days and needed the app to pay for their parking. I couldn't just buy the permit; the app forces you to make a deposit in the in-app wallet "in case your parking runs out". That day I ended paying for the parking permit with my card. Not the money I deposited in the in-app wallet. That was April 10th. I requested that they refund me the money I deposited, and was told the process takes 20 business days and it was their policy. We are May 10, obviously more than 20 business days have passed, but nobody is responding to my emails anymore. I really hate this. Why do I have to run after this company to get my money back? I need someone from the company to do something about it. I really can't wait to delete the app. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

   This company will do whatever they can to scam you. This company has franchised the small town of Bend, OR. Locals have had free parking for years and now pango has been placed at their parking garage and lots all around downtown making it nearly impossible for anyone working there to park for free. This company is corrupt. I also have a problem with their kiosks not taking cash. This company managed to get my debit card cancelled because of fraud. I don’t have two credit cards. Now let me ask you how do I park anywhere if the street has two hour limits everywhere…. the company says they have “other options”. they don’t. if you’re waiting for your new card in the mail you don’t. my venmo doesn’t work if my card doesn’t. If i park in a parking lot, it’s still run by pango, then I will get a ticket for not paying with my card and if i leave it at while i’m at work who knows if they’ll tow it. if i park in the garage then the telephone service has a certain number of times to let me out of the gate. I wasn’t told how many times. But the next time I had to get out the lady on the phone refused to open the gate at 10:30 at night on a friday night. so i have people waiting behind me and she’s refusing to open it. finally someone just used their own credit card to get me out which is absurd for the company to even let it get that far. I have a big problem with them not telling me that they absolutely won’t let me out next time i go to the garage because the past times they just let me out, and i asked them what to do for next time and they flat out avoided my questioning because they don’t have a real answer. they said “contact my bank”. All of that would be avoided if we just had an old school kiosk that takes cash. Or maybe just leave this town alone. I despise pango.
