   Just about every town near me uses a different parking app. I currently have at least 5 on my phone. This is by far the worst one. Three months ago, I parked in a small town in the evening and couldn’t see any signs indicating the hours of operation for the parking meters. I downloaded the app to attempt to find out if I had to pay or not. The app would not reveal the information until I funded my in-app “wallet” with $15. Once I paid this ransom, the app revealed that we were, in fact, outside of payment hours, and parking would be free that evening. I continued with my evening, went home, and forgot about this app and my $15 that were stuck inside it. Three months went by, and I remember the incident, so I contact customer service through the app. The (helpful) customer service agent says that he will refund me, but it will take 20 DAYS, and 5% will be deducted for “processing fees”. When I inquired further about this charge, he said that it was “standard” and for “bank to bank transfers”, although I paid with PayPal. I effectively lent this company $15 for three months, after they provided absolutely no service to me whatsoever. Now, they are planning to keep my money for an additional three weeks. I have never heard of a standard back processing fee of 5% and have never seen a refund take 20 days to process. I have never been required to fund an in-app wallet to pay for a parking space. The presence of this app makes me want to avoid the (lovely) small town that employs it. Avoid downloading if at all possible.

2. 1/5The worst parking app

   Very annoying to setup. They ask for so much personal information. You can’t use Apple Pay. If you use PayPal you have to debit a minimum of $15 even if your parking fee is a few bucks. They claim you can “request your money back” but I’m sure they don’t make that easy. If you try and use a prepaid gift card or (so you don’t have to store your real credit card with them) make sure you have a high balance on it because it will try and pre-authorize the maximum fare for 24 hours even though you’ll only use a few dollars. Don’t forget to “end” your session when you leave or again they will charge you the maximum fare. This is the most sketchy parking app I’ve ever had to deal with. I hope I never have to use it again.

3. 1/5BEWARE!!

   Takes 20 days to process a refund and they will deduct 5%. And for whatever reason if they can’t refund it to the original payment method, they do not communicate with you. I have been attempting to get a refund for 2 months now and I still don’t have an answer as to when I’ll get my money back. It should not be this hard! Requested to be transferred to a supervisor to help get to the bottom of this issue and was told one was not available. They claim they submitted a request to the management team and I should hear something back…a week later, still nothing. Something seems a bit off with this company and they are constantly giving me the run around about my refund! **Will update review once I get somewhere with this issue.

4. 1/5Warning: Don’t use this parking app!!

   I’ll share my experience in a hot parking lot in Bend Oregon. in order to pay the parking fee I first had to visit the website for Pango where they make you download their app, this app. Then it has you create a new account. Then it has you link it to your bank or digital cash service such as Venmo. Then they make you transfer funds from it to your new account at Pango. When I finally go to pay the parking fee, it says it’s a free parking day!! It just had me go through all that setup before it tells me that? I try to contact Pango customer service to get my money back and after about a week and a half they finally respond and tell me that I can’t get it back for 20 days from when I request it and that they’re going to take out a processing fee! stay away from this app based on their business practice!

5. 1/5Park somewhere else

   I had the displeasure of using the PANGO app to park this weekend, and I’ve never seen such a shady company for parking in my life. I likely have all the parking apps because I park all over the place, but this company makes you pre load money into their app and does not let you pay as you go. Then they don’t allow you to park for a set time. They make you park for 24 hours then you have to go back into the app to stop the time. Which is 100 percent them trying to get the 24 hour payment when people forget to get back into the app to stop the parking. This will not be my only complaint about this company’s unfortunate business practices. It’s not right to prey on consumers like this. It’s parking! Park somewhere else if you can.
