I wanted to send a gift card for coffee to my grad school recommenders (who are all over the country) and saw that On Me can send gift cards anywhere. I love that I could send them many coffee options so they can pick their favorite. I will definitely be using this for gifts in the future!!

1/5Horrible user experience
I was gifted a $10 gift card for coffee by a business associate. I received it via sms. I had to create an account to access it. Once I accessed it, I tried to add it to my Apple wallet. I had to download and install the app. Ok. Then I tried to add it and it said it required a minimum of $20 to do so. Ok. So I tried to add it to a Starbucks gift card as the original gift said it could be used at Starbucks. It threw errors, which probably meant I could not use it for transfers. So I tried to buy a gift card. Same thing. I’ve probably wasted 30 mins now trying to get to where I could actually use this $10. Terrible user experience. Totally invalidated the nice attempt at a gift from my friend for advising her on her business.

1/5Not easy to split payments
While purchasing a Coursera annual subscription I wanted to use my card to pay for this. As it would not split payments easily I was charged for the whole balance on my personal card. I have no other use for the card beside making a purchase for learning. (Which now I have) so basically it’s a waste of money sitting in my Apple wallet at the moment. Extremely dissatisfied at the ease of use for this. Would like to get my money back now that I was not able to use it for what I intended….

Received funds for this as a gift; had an initial issue using it but the company quickly responded and quickly solved the issue. Very impressed with the customer service and the app works great!

1/5Terrible gift. Send cash. Send gift card.
Terrible gift. Requires a cell phone and too much information to use. They are literally still spamming me 1 year later. Almost impossible to use up because can’t use on half the websites without adding more money (because you often can’t pay with more than one card and can’t select an exact amount to put on the card). Can’t add more money without giving them more information.
