  1. 5/5Best by Far

I have loved Matt Noyes for years!!! He has given the best and most accurate forecast for decades now on NECN then NBC Boston. As someone who works outside in the Landscape industry knowing the weather and when changes are coming is imperative. Matt has always been right on top of what’s happening in the weather. I also love that when on NBC he was the only forecaster that would upload his report early in the morning. I could have his report by 5 am and be able to plan out the day and time it out within 15 mins of the weather hitting. Yes he is that good, I have tested his reports. And here in this app Matt is no different. I can have my forecast by 5 am and know exactly what to expect heading out the door every morning. I truly believe that Matt and his wife Danielle are the best at what they do. Here in New England the weather changes at the drop of a hat and they are always ready to tell you what is happening and why. They break down how the weather works and the science of it. I love being able to learn about it and know what’s going on. Their love for the weather and keeping people informed truly shows. The App is great and is the perfect way for them to share that passion and knowledge!!! It is very user friendly and easy to find your way around. You can get the simple forecast or more in depth breakdown depending on what exactly your looking for. This is perfect!! Thank you so much Matt and Danielle for creating 1degreeoutside!! It truly is the weather app that I always wanted and needed.

  2. 5/5Trusted, accurate weather- especially when it matters most

I’ve been an avid follower of Matt Noyes for over 20 years, dating back to his NECN days, and he is hands down the best meteorologist in New England. He’s the only one who accurately predicted and truly prepared me for the 2014 bomb cyclone—and now, with another potential bomb cyclone this week, I’m once again grateful to have access to his forecasting. The free content alone is excellent and far more thoughtful and accurate than most weather coverage out there. As a subscriber, I’ve also been enjoying the pre-storm chats, where Matt clearly lays out the forecast, explains the reasoning behind it, and answers questions in real time. At 1 degree outside, having this level of clear, trustworthy weather guidance is incredibly reassuring.

  3. 5/5My go to weather app

This app has become my go to weather app for Boston weather forecasts! I also like that I can look up weather in other parts of the country to see where I might be traveling to or what friends and family might be experiencing in their areas as well. The meteorologists share their perspectives and I like the monthly outlooks as well as the weekly and 24-hour forecasts. As the days are getting longer getting closer to summer, I like that the app includes the sunrise and sunset times on the hourly forecast tab. The wind speed, direction, temp, and precipitation all on each line of the hourly is a nice feature all at once compared to some other apps creating extra steps to view those items individually.

  4. 5/5Next level weather

Ever watch the local TV weather forecast and still didn’t get the information you tuned in (and waited) to see? Matt and Danielle Noyes go the extra mile to break down what is happening in the atmosphere and explain how it will affect you. The regular local weather guy says “we are tracking a winter storm on Monday” whereas 1Degree Outside shows how much snow will fall in particular areas. You might not be in Boston. You might be on the south shore or New Hampshire or Western Mass and they cover all those angles. They give all the summary information too if all you want is a quick look. Matt and Danielle are taking weather forecasts to the next level.

  5. 5/5Local weather you can trust

My wife and I hikers, bicyclists, and kayakers. We pick and choose our activity based on where the best weather will be within 50 mile radius of home. There are many days that it is lovely on the Cape when Boston has rain and vice versa. Through the years, we have learned to trust Matt and Diane to point us in the right direction and timing, adjusting for probability. Any seven day forecast in New England will change. Same day forecasts can change. 1 degree outside gives me great information, allows us to have a great time outdoors and plan time to do the indoor errands.
