1. 3/5We love it but....

   My partner and I love sending eachother cute doodles throughout the day. It's so nice to have that extra bit of connection while we're apart. However, lately with the new updates, this app has become less about sending cute doodles and more about maintaining a "streak". My partner and I are busy people so sometimes we don't have time to send each other notes everyday. Because of this, if we miss a day, "streak lost 💔" shows up at the bottom of the widget (this is my least favorite because I can't even look at my partner's doodles without being reminded of it), we get notifications that our streak has been lost, and if i go to the gallery, "streak lost" is shown inbetween almost every note. I understand that this may be fun for some people and might motivate them to use the app more, but for us it's the opposite. I would love a carefree app where we can send eachother notes every once and a while without having to worry about maintaining a streak. If we wanted to send each other doodles to maintain a streak, we would have just used snapchat. I wish there wasn't any streak feature, or that there was at least an option to turn it off for the people who would prefer not to have it. Other than that, it's a fantastic, adorable little app.

2. 2/5Started cute but it’s starting to get annoying

   Love this app and I’ve really enjoyed using it with my long distance boyfriend but the latest update has been really annoying. I always keep the little widget of notes that he sends me on my home screen but when we are both busy or just spending time on the phone talking we miss the streak cut offs. Then the app makes the missed streak the point of the whole thing more than just wanting to send pictures and notes back and forth. It’s kind of obnoxious honestly. Like the app is always peeking in nagging at us to make sure we’re using it as much as it wants. My boyfriend especially gets fed up with it and already deleted the app once for a few weeks. He was already experiencing some stress and anxiety and the constant notifications and failed streak alerts didn’t help. He eventually reinstalled it and wanted to test out the subscription but for just sending doodles and photos back and forth it’s EXPENSIVE. I mean $4 a WEEK?? Like…are we paying postage?? Before I went to look I thought it would be like $2 or $3 a MONTH max. That seems so clearly ridiculous to me. Anyways, cute app, love getting little notes and doodles from my man, really enjoy getting creative with what I want to send him but honestly (and I think all of us users agree) it’s started to become obnoxious and when it comes to subscription options- greedy. Hope these things are updated in the future. I’d probably take a subscription along with other users if it wasn’t $16 a month. Let’s see a few changes. :)

3. 2/5NEW UPDATE WORSENS THE USER EXPERIENCE!!

   I have been using this app for about a month now and have loved it, even with all its initial limitations. This new update has changed my user experience for the worse. I am unable to go back and draw over my pictures after a couples strokes of the draw tool because the tool dash completely disappears! I can no longer zoom in when I’m drawing over a photo which makes it even more unpleasant to use. I also had a complaint about the app pre-update. Keeping the streak by tapping the app everyday is fine with me, but if I have already sent a new drawing that day, why should I get another notification warning me that my streak is about to end? If the notification was a standard reminder which acknowledged my new drawing, I would have no problem, however this is not the case. I have lost really sweet drawings because I didn’t open the app within an hour of it telling me to do so. Am I supposed to be a slave to the app or am I supposed to be enjoying the experience?? Don’t worry I am not going to just forget about the app just because it doesn’t threaten me at any random point in time during the day; if the user experience was better, I would be excited to open it up and draw. Unfortunately for long distance couples who already have a lot to deal with, this just makes it harder. I hope you can respond with something or make some changes sooner rather than later.

4. 2/5wow, the update is actually so insanely bad

   me and my partner have been using noteit for months now, it’s fun to send cute little drawings to each other whenever we feel like it. but lately the updates have kinda sucked :/ for example, they started a “streak” system where you have to send back a drawing between 24 hours or your streak breaks and you can no longer see the drawings you sent to your partner. i see what they were trying to do here but at least in my case i spend time trying to draw out things and id like them to say up for more then 24 hours without losing all the drawings i made previously, this isn’t like snapchat where i can snap a quick picture and that’s it. and this most recent update is the WORST, for one the shade of blue is kinda irritating to stare at and also you can only access the tools once, if you accidentally press anywhere but the drawing pad it’ll just switch the tool button to “done” and your only option is to either keep drawing with this one tool (but sometimes they don’t even let you do that) or either send the drawing or scrap it all together. this app is such a cute idea and me and my partner have loved it for so long, but i feel like this app is trying to soup itself up too much to the point where it’s becoming unuseable and annoying, i really hope this gets fixed in the future :/

5. 3/5Changes in the Wrong Ways

   I got my sister to download the app so we could have drawings or whatever on here since we are now far apart from one another. I really enjoy what it has to offer but there’s just been some changes I do not care for. This is app preference based but right now my biggest one is the streak. That alone is fine. Cute you know see how long you have it, but when it updates to saying “streak lost” and covers the image with a red x it’s ugly. It takes away from seeing the drawing or image that I have on my Home Screen and just makes me want to delete the widget honestly. I don’t want to see streak lost because I can’t recover the image on my home screen without drawing back or having my sister do the same. Also when you’re about to lose the streak also has a large clock on it. I personally don’t care for the streaks. If there was a way to turn it off I’d be fine with that. Something else which is I would like it if it connected multiple peoples. Like it auto rotates or something so you can have multiple people on your device. It’s just some things I wish would be different. But still overall the app isn’t bad and if streaks matter it’s a good way to keep them. It just doesn’t for me.
