5/5HS Sports App
I had to finally try this company. Reviews on the app are bad. I dislike using the app. Seems more difficult to navigate and find games. I use the standard site. Some streams aren’t great. I watch high school football and the majority of games have been great. Seems dependent on the school. They post their streams. I just watched Norfolk Catholic vs. Ord 2022 and had absolutely zero issues. Broadcast was excellent. I scout players. I need to access to games. I’m glad I attempted to use NFHS. I should have months ago. I will reiterate that the games streams are dependent on the school. Some are perfect. Others…well, not as useful. Use the standard site. Try it out for a month. If the teams you are interested in have good streams, great. I ONLY use NFHS for high school football.

1/5A lesson in frustration
If you are looking for a quality streaming and viewing experience for your school sports, this is not the app for you. I don’t even know where to begin. The commercials work great! If your video suddenly stop streaming – again – and you have to leave the app and start it over to get back to your game, you have to watch another commercial. Again. If you open your “live now“ game, there is it very good chance it may be added on to the end of your school’s previous game and you will be lucky to find it by the end of the first quarter. If it is the state basketball semi final, it is likely there will be technical difficulties. The system will need rebooted and you will get to join the game at the end of the first quarter. You may get audio. You may not. You may get to watch both ends of a basketball game, or you may get to stare at end of an empty basketball court while the game continues on the other end. I could go on, but I will say that I am still grateful for this expensive, glitchy app allowing me to watch my grandsons in their athletic pursuits. I am hoping for BIG improvements in this app before the next football season begins. P.S. Tonight, streaming the WYOMING BOYS 2A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. At the beginning of the 4th quarter, with a ONE POINT game, the streaming abruptly ended. That was all she wrote.

2/5Do not buy yearly subscription
I am so thankful I didn’t buy the yearly subscription. I chose monthly and am now cancelling my subscription before I waste any other money. I planned to watch an important game with my elderly parents and the game never showed! It said delayed until about an hour later when they finally just didn’t even show the game available to view anymore and deleted it from the lineup. Emailed support with no response. The last game we streamed the score never updated. I didn’t expect the highest quality for this service, but I didn’t think I would be subject to missing an entire game either. I can deal with the sound being off on some games or the score not updating, and even the camera not panning correctly. Im just not prepared to continue to pay money and HOPE it airs every week with no recourse if it doesn’t. I will say that one of the games we watched was very well broadcasted to where the announcers were audible and I felt as if I was at the game. So I suppose it depends on how well each school’s A/V is set up but that wasn’t my understanding when I signed up for this service. If you’re willing to take the chance that your game airs, then it may be worth it for you.

2/5Works half the time and poor customer service
About half the time the games I try to watch have technical difficulties (camera broke or not plugged in? IDK) or no score or game clock (either not displayed or at 0-0 0:00). Multiple times I have contacted customer support for these games. On the plus side, I do get a response from someone (anywhere from an hour to several days later). The problem is that there is zero resolution or explanation of the issue. It’s typically ‘we’ll look into it’. But I have never received a a follow up, even when I specifically asked for that. I pay full price for this subscription (and not a cheap monthly fee either!). It’s ridiculous that the use rate is as low as it is. I’ve never been offered a refund or rate discount for all the issues. I have never had even remotely the level of issues with any other so called streaming service even ones that cost much less per month. Is there a number or email to contact for whatever school is supposedly streaming a game that I can contact directly when there are issues? Because NFHS Network support is completely ineffective.

1/5Horrible
I live in NM and the commentators for this network are very opinionated and are very unprofessional with the things they say and I live in a community where our kids are winners so that’s not this comment is coming from a losing city. I have watched everything from high school football, soccer, basketball, and even swimming/diving and they are different people but all equally horrible. During the swimming competition the female announcer kept snorting her boogers instead of just blowing her nose. The camera people for all sports also are moving a lot a most of the time are missing the big moments for example in the soccer championships they missed a couple of the goals being made. The network is horribly unstable so half the time it’s spinning and we are missing the event and considering we have to pay you think the network would be better. I have to use this to watch our community’s athletes because there’s no other option or else they wouldn’t get a penny from me but I just wished they would fix these issues that aren’t new from day one it’s been bad but I guess they are being paid so they don’t care!

3.6.3
We are building the app around one idea: every game matters to someone. Game delay notices: If a game hasn't started yet, you'll see a clear message telling you why - whether the previous game is running long, there's a weather delay, or something else is going on. The notice updates on its own, so when the stream goes live, it clears automatically. No refreshing, no guessing. Cleaner event pages: Events with a single participant no longer show a phantom "TBD" opponent beside them. State association broadcasts, press conferences, and other single-school events look the way they should.
