  1. 3/5Long time user: Support Fixes a stubborn product failure

Update: after weeks of investigation, MySudo appears to have fixed the problem I outlined below. I’ve edited the problem down to bare details should anyone else get the same problem. What was a weeks long negative experience seems to have turned around. TL, DR; don’t let your funding source expire in their end. Change it to a new card before it expires and kicks it out of the system. I’m switching my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. Original issues: I’ve been a MySudo user for a long time. And I rely on their virtual cards for various subscriptions. In order to create a virtual card, you must have your real debit card on file. (No problem). But my debit card expired and when I went to enter the new one, the app won’t take it. I tried a credit card (JP Morgan Chase), it won’t take it. So I contacted customer service...and it took weeks to be able to rectify the problem. MySudo believes my bank blocked it from being added. But I attempted using multiple banks and all created the same problem. Either way, they eventually were able to reset something and it appears to be working now.

  2. 5/55 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Awesome app

I have been using this app for years and it’s working flawlessly. I have no problems with it. It’s working like a charm. I am updating this review December 2024. I was first introduced to this app from Leo Laporte on his very popular podcast MacBreak weekly. He only recommends products that he thinks are great and he has tried himself, so I thought I would give this a go. I am very pleased with this product. First thing I want to say which is really cool is that the app doesn’t even need to be open and you’ll still get phone calls and text message notifications just like a normal cell phone carrier like AT&T Verizon, etc. The notifications have been working very reliably. I have been using it to make Sudo‘s for a new phone numbers for different accounts because I don’t wanna give out my personal cell phone number in case the company sells my phone number or my email address and then I’ll get spam so this will prevent that from happening. I have been receiving and making phone calls using it for text message and email and it’s been working flawlessly. I purchased the MySudo max so I could have unlimited Sudo etc. Also, you can customize the notifications within the app, and of course you could also customize notifications Even if the app is not open or if I force quit the app, I still can receive phone calls, email or text on my phone even if the app is not open or if the app is quit, which is fantastic. I am using this on my iPhone 16 pro max running iOS 18 and iPad mini 6 and new mini 7. 📱 This app is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  3. 1/5Extremely Disappointed with mySudo Customer Support and App Features

I am deeply disappointed with mySudo, particularly after spending an entire week troubleshooting a problem that ultimately led nowhere. My frustration stems from the lack of support I received and the inability to add backup payment methods due to unclear decision-making processes. The customer support team was ill-equipped to handle my concerns. Instead of providing helpful information, they often blamed financial institutions for issues that may not have even been their fault. This led to a frustrating experience where I felt like I wasn't getting the help I needed. The app's inability to add backup payment methods is a significant drawback. It's alarming that despite being accepted before, these features are still not available after all this time. The lack of transparency from the development team regarding when and if this feature will be implemented makes it challenging for users like myself to trust the app and its future development. It is unfortunate that mySudo has wasted a week of my valuable time. Instead of focusing on improving the overall user experience, they seem to be stuck in an endless cycle of blame and finger-pointing. I sincerely hope that mySudo takes the necessary steps to improve their customer support and app functionality, otherwise, it may be time to look for alternative solutions. Overall, I strongly advise potential users to consider other options until mySudo addresses these critical issues and proves they can adequately support their user base.

  4. 4/54.5 Stars - I really like it!

I really like the app for so many things. For example we are car shopping. Sudo is awesome to give a disposable email and phone number so we aren’t harassed later by salesmen. It’s fantastic for signing up for for TV subscriptions and anything that may involve getting spammed or your email/phone number being sold. The browser has the BEST ad blocker of the browsers I use (private safari, private brave, SUDO). I do wish the browser was a little more fully featured. For example of often swipe instead of using the back button. When I do this on SUDO - it pulls up the tab with the account info and doesn’t go back. This happens even if I try to highlight words or links in the browser left to right which is annoying. If only that tab would open via tap bs swipe. I would love to be able to long press to open a web page link in a new tab instead of only open or copy. I haven’t and don’t plan to use the credit cards so I can’t opine on that function. I feel like using the credit cards would tie my identity to my browsing, defeating a lot of the purpose of using the app. But otherwise for what I need the app is great! A fantastic privacy tool!

  5. 5/5NO phone number or email required. Ad Free. 5★!

Having paid for several “2nd phone number” and “texting” apps, I wish I had known about MySudo sooner and saved myself the trouble (I’m looking at you, texting app with the white phone icon on purple background!). If you need a long term phone number, skip those apps and give MySudo a try. My incoming and outgoing calls are always of good quality and have not experienced any problems with text messages or emails. Most of all, I appreciate MySudo’s CLEAR PRICING and EXCELLENT support team. Depending on your time zone, you may even receive a response from MySudo support within the hour as I have. The only glitch I encountered was ONE phone call with lag and echo, however it was followed by another call which was of better quality. MySudo support was quick to respond along with some suggestions—that alone warrants 5★! Though not surprising as they have always responded promptly to my queries. As it turns out, the simultaneous issues I was experiencing with my VPN service was the likely culprit (yes you, VPN service with over 19,000 servers). As a SudoPro subscriber, I encourage anyone looking for a free chat/messaging app, free email or browser to consider trying MySudo. For those in search of an inexpensive and dedicated VoIP phone service or second phone number, look no further. MySudo has been a reliable service for me and I will continue to recommend it.
