1. 4/5Love the app but need more page bandwidth!

   I am an attorney, and Nebo has revolutionized the portability of my case files. I have always had a strong preference for hand-writing my notes, and this app now gives me the best of all worlds: I can still take notes by hand, convert them to typed/searchable text that I can share with team members by email and/or Word or PDF, AND I am no longer bogged down by multiple legal pads when I travel. My only frustration (and the reason for only four stars) is with the page limits. Part of what I love about Nebo is that I can keep a single running document that contains both my chronological notes as well as research findings related to an individual client issue, but I often hit the limit of what a single document can hold and see the ever-dreaded message that “you are approaching the content limit for this document - create a new document to avoid performance issues” (or something to that effect). In addition to frustrating the benefits of having a consolidated file for all of my relevant data, it is incredibly disruptive when that pops up in the middle of a client call while I am already scrambling to take notes of the discussion. Please, PLEASE find a way to increase the available document content!

2. 5/5Best note-taking app for iPad!

   I have loved this app since I downloaded it several years ago & recommend it to everyone! I appreciate that unlike most apps I’ve tested, this one doesn’t immediately convert handwriting to text but instead allows you to double-tap when you’re ready to convert. I find that much less distracting than other methods! Nebo’s “note” mode has the ability to endlessly scroll in any direction, which is also apparently a rare feature that I needed. The “document” mode works wonderfully when I need to take general notes - sometimes it’s better than I am at deciphering my handwriting - and I love that I can add sections sketches and math amongst the normal text. I will say I am hoping for an update to PDF editing at some point - Nebo doesn’t seem to “remember” any part of the PDF that isn’t actively onscreen, and those parts have to reload and resize every time you move the PDF around. Not a deal-breaker for me but it’s gotten more annoying as I’ve started taking notes directly on lecture slides. Just hoping that the experience of moving around a PDF will become as smooth as moving around a board. Overall though, definitely the best note-taking app I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot!) and the pro version is a one-time purchase which I really appreciate!! Wish more software still used this model :)

3. 3/5VERY structured

   It’s very structured in the sense that you really have to write following the lines, left to right. This is NOT an app for you if your notes are not organized (e.g. you draw doodles to help you understand, you like to skip lines, you like to write on random spots of the page as like side notes or something to point to another idea, etc.). I tried to even make bullet points but when I convert it, it’s not how I want it. I make the bullet and write but when I move onto the next line (that’s still part of the bullet point) and convert to handwriting, it moves that next line to be it’s own line so I’m constantly having to adjust the lines and all that. It’s pretty annoying honestly. I don’t have time to be making all these adjustments during professor’s lecture. It’s just REALLY point blank in mot being completely unique. I don’t want to have to keep inputting sketch boxes or boxes for math equations. Also, the diagram box is mot very accurate. I draw boxes and connect them with arrows and put words in the boxes but when I convert it, it’s nothing like what I made. I’d understand if it was close but it really isn’t. The best part of this app is that the handwriting conversion is very very good. It reads letters I sometimes can’t really make out myself. I suggest GoodNotes. It’s $3 more but I personally think it’s totally worth it. You can even upload PDFs and annotate them on GoodNotes. I’m a lot more satisfied with GoodNotes. Nebo is for those who are very structured and don’t want freedom.

4. 4/5My favorite note app

   There is only a few tiny things that would make this app perfect and first would be to have multiple styles of paper to choose from with different paper rules... college versus wide for example and changing paper colors. I am using this app more than any other since it has the best features and most natural intuitive functions but the rule of the line height is a bit too wide on a 12.9 iPad for long hand writing and to narrow for wanting to take fast notes. I would love to have the ability to have more than one small note pad or two on one sheet. Second would be to able to turn off or lock the keyboard and eraser button from changing. My hand naturally hits the screen and finger sometimes double taps when readjusting my hand causing me to pause multiple times while writing in order to switch back, while just a few split seconds, it messes with your focus while writing. But regardless... this will be my go to app forever. I have tried several note apps and this ones is by far one of the very best out there and I really do love it and well thought out app, I hope these developers create even more awesome products with same attention to detail and user experience as they have with this product.

5. 5/5Suggestion about Latex

   Not sure if anyone in the fields of math/physical sciences who uses this app has already suggested this, but it would be GREATLY appreciated if nebo was able to provide a mode where the entire handwritten text could be converted to Latex, so that it would be functional for writing proofs, derivations, theorems, laws, etc. As of now there is no app with this capability, which is why it is so crucial for math/physical sciences students to learn Latex typesetting in order to write research papers and longer works that include both natural spoken language and mathematical symbols. However, I feel that Nebo has the potential to fill this space, seeing how powerful the "Math" section that can be added to regular pages already is. While it is very useful and well made, it is limited since ordinary languages like English cannot be recognized in the same section. If Nebo were able to develop a way to recognize and convert hand written mathematical proofs and other similar types of text to Latex, it would absolutely be the primary notes app of choice for EVERY individual studying higher level math, physics, or chemistry. Suggestions aside, Nebo is an amazing app with all of its other features!!

   worst app ever , I was signed out and when I signed in back everything was deleted, all my notes were gone. And if after signing back in doesn't bring my notes back then what's even the point of adding a sign in option, if everything is saved locally why the hell even bother people to sign up

   I've found the app really useful for note taking. The features (especially the file structure and cloud synchronisation). I had a problem with my lifetime purchase of the software the other day, and support fixed it in under a day, they were super helpful.
