   I work in technology, and have done so for the last 15 years. When I say that this is the worst app I’ve ever come across, I mean it is worse than what I’ve seen middle schoolers write having only had a year of coding experience. This app makes absolutely no sense. It has redundant questions. It is not intuitive. It’s hard to use. important questions are cut off because it’s not formatted for mobile use and on top of that at the end when you’re supposed to submit all the documents and sign, the section that it refers you to doesn’t actually exist Whoever is writing that this app is “five stars” is a liar, and this app needs to be completely reformatted, and in my opinion, whoever originally developed it for you should be brought up on charges for fraud. For women to go through this after having to give birth it’s of a similarly painful experience, without an epidural. If possible, use a lactation consultant that actually knows what the hell they’re doing

2. 1/5Terrible UI, no support

   I don’t even know where to start. I’m a UI design professional and this program is astonishingly bad. Ignoring the 90s-era aesthetics (or lack thereof), it’s a confusing mess. Trying to do any task is an exercise in digging through random tabs, menus, icons, and settings. It’s also buggy—although the developer claims to store all data on his servers, there are multiple accounts of lost data—and even random people’s charts showing up in others’ practices!—on various Facebook groups. The developer is not helpful in tracking down the bugs; looking on the official support group you can see lots of unanswered support requests. Not only is it not worth paying $19/month for, but you might lose your data. Skip MLC and pick another solution.

3. 5/5Great for small practices

   Our small business has been using this app for the past six years. It is a wonderful option for small practices needing electronic health records. I have been a nurse for 20 years and have used at least 10 other electronic health record systems, good luck finding one that is perfect. As with any software, you need to know what you are doing, there are lots of ways to make mistakes in electronic world, please take the time to learn how to use this software before charting real patients. Once you learn how to navigate it you will love it.

   I began using MLC when there was not much available for EHRs for IBCLCs. From day one the app has been buggy. There is no manual, no specific training video for a new user, poorly managed official Facebook support group, slow (if any) response to customer concerns, unprofessional responses when you do get them, and a quick dismissive manner in which any and all issues are “user problems”. Well, without proper support on how to manage the app, I would suppose that folks are just trying to do their best. I can attest to difficulty with the app syncing which is not an issue of “poor internet connection”. I thankful that there are now many more options for EHRs for IBCLCs. Save time, money and frustration and use another option. Oh and for the record, I am not a fake account or out to prove a point. Michael Daly personally requested that users post reviews and I am happy to do as such.

5. 5/5Great for our Practice

   We have been using this EHR for 5 years and it has come so far I can’t keep up with all the great new features. Most recently the providers in our practice (I’m the office manager) have been enjoying the new text template feature that generates visit notes based on rollable fields. We also use the Message Templates feature to automatically send educational resources to clients at specific time prenatally and postpartum.
