4/5Instructions Inconsistency
I love the Mob recipes Rolodex of ideas! I feel as though the app lets it down just a bit. For me, I feel it helps that I’ve found some authors I enjoy their cooking and techniques but others miss the mark in terms of having in-depth instructions. It can be hard to follow certain recipes and I end up having to rejig the order of operations on some cooking. It would be helpful if the writing was easily catered to adding substitutes or different tools, if for say, I don’t have a high-end blender or that I want to double the recipe. Some more detailed instructions would be most appreciated.

3/5Love the recipes, but the app needs more key features
I’ve actually enjoyed the recipes I’ve tried so far, but I had to cancel my subscription because I believe there’s other apps out there that do more for a lower cost. There’s a few things that could be updated that I would bring back to Mob if they implemented them. 1. I don’t consider a 20g of protein meal “high protein.” I think that this should be adjustable based on preference. 2. I wish I was able to filter by macros. It would be get if I could set a filter to be under X amount of calories, over X amount of protein, etc. This would save a lot of back in forth of having to open a recipe to check this. 3. When building a meal plan, it would also be nice if the app automatically populated breakfast, lunch, and dinner into completely separate fields. 4. I wish that the suggested recipes when creating a meal plan could factor in food waste, and told me what was leftover as I’m building it out. Ex: I used half an onion for this recipe, let’s use the other half in another one. It does this but only after the plan is built. 5. Building off the previous one, I wish that the meal plans could auto populate plan suggestions based on the above. 6. It would be handy if for certain items there were suggestions of substitutes. Ex: Can’t find chili pepper, use Serrano pepper Would love to see these changes, this would make for a great meal prepping tool.

1/5Not worth the price or the hassle of dealing kind but unhelpful customer service
I don’t write reviews often, but I am super disappointed with Mob and Apple and feel taken advantage of during an already difficult time. The app provides very little value for the $65 charge. I believed I canceled my trial and never used the service or tried any of the recipes, yet I was still billed. When I checked my subscription, it showed as “canceled,” but Mob’s support—though polite—was ultimately unhelpful and referred me to Apple. Apple then explained that Mob had already collected the payment and that I now owe Apple. Both companies keep pointing fingers instead of resolving a clear customer issue. This feels like an intentional money grab, while customer service employees are just doing their job to politely keep “expectations” low, the 3rd party blame game is a frustrating experience that others should be aware of.

1/5Inflexible Terms and Disappointing Product
I had to work late one night and was unable to cancel my membership on time. I was one morning past due. I respectfully requested a refund, stating that the product was not what I had hoped, and that there were several inconsistencies between recipe lists and the actual recipes. It was stressful not being able to trust the recipes. I also didn’t find any meal preps I was excited about, and that was the reason I signed up. I wish Mob was a little more respectable and understanding in their business practices, but they are not. They charged me for a full year and would not budge. At the end of the day, it’s on me, but users should know that it may not be worth it to give them a try. There are plenty of much better, free, no strings attached options out there without getting locked into a yearly contract. I would not recommend this company.

5/5Mob can save your marriage!
I honestly love this app so much. I use to never cook because I find the whole process overwhelming and I’d constantly mess up recipes. Mob makes it so simple with the grocery list, so I know (and have) exactly what I need. The recipes are clear and easy to follow. Plus, the functionality with ingredients included in the recipe steps is incredible. Maybe the best part is no need to endlessly scroll through ads to find the recipe (and no pop-up ads either!!). I’ve actually started to enjoy cooking and now cook 3-4 times a week…which has made my wife way happier 😅
